We specialize in providing exceptional tanning and skin care services to the community. We have 20 tanning beds available, including a stand up booth, a UV-​free Mystic spray tan booth, as well as custom hand applied UV-​free airbrush tanning. Our spa offers a wide range of therapeutic facials, wax hair removal, eyelashes, as well as Inch-​loss body wraps. We also carry an extensive line of skin care tanning products, eye wear, and jewelry.

The sun is an essential part of our lives just like water and air. We are naturally attracted to the sun. Studies indicate that in moderation and in a controlled environment, UV light appears to improve our moods and it relaxes us. During the tanning process, our bodies produce vitamin D naturally – which is an added healthy benefit.

Located in the Jewel Food Plaza at the corner of Geneva Rd. & Main St. (Schmale Rd.) in Wheaton.

History

Established in 1996.

This well established salon was Established by Sal and Diane Costello, They sold the business to Judy Wang. Due to some personal issues she had to close the salon. The salon sat lonely for 6 months. Lonny & Lisa Harris (Previous owners of Sun on the Run in Park Ridge, IL) Came across the opportunity to re-​open this wonderful. salon. The salon has a new look, new spa services and a new name. A Total Tan Spa.

The Harris’s reopened the store brought in their team of skin people and offer Nutritional and Environmental Counseling all so you can love the skin you are in!

Education is the most important service we offer. Lisa is currently working on her masters degree in Tanning. Linda Cook, an RN can help you with beauty from the inside out.

The salon has 20 private rooms. We offer lay down and stand up beds. We have a Mystic spray booth, a full line of tanning products. The salon offers other services and products such as teeth whitening, Facials, Body Wraps and more!

Beauty is so fun! Especially when someone is feeling down and you can brighten their day! I love to help others out. I think people are too hard on themselves and they way they look. It really brings me joy to help other people. To help someone realize that their beauty is about being themselves. To be an individual, and feeling good from the inside out.

Many skin disorders can be corrected using tanning equipment. After all, we (tanning salons) use the same bulbs that dermatologists use, however, we charge a fraction of the cost. In the end someone with psoriasis can love the skin they are in with out spending a lot of money on expensive procedures.

Eight years ago, I owned another salon in Park Ridge called Sun on the Run. I really loved being there. My son was young and I decided to close shop and be an at home mom. When the opportunity presented itself to reopen A Total Tan Today, I could not wait to reopen the salon and have a new place to meet others and call home.
