Although this practice addresses a wide range of medical conditions, Eastern HealingTM specializes in the natural treatment of infertility. The practice’s Infertility specialization with The Fertile Soul, an affiliation of acupuncture clinics dedicated to the overcoming infertility with traditional, natural methods.

History

Established in 2004.

While living in Utah i was succesfully treated for exercise induced asthma with acupuncture which became my inspiration to apprentice in a private for three years. After moving back to Chicago I was invited to an advanced internship in Tian Jin China at the 1st Teaching hospital. Upon completion came back to Chicago where I attended The Midwest College of Oriental Medicine and graduated with a masters of science in Oriental Medicine.

Having never had acupuncture before, I sought out Eastern Healing for several issues I was having. I found Peter, his staff, his office and his services to be extremely beneficial. While expensive, I believed in the sessions and the services, and would happily go back. The greatest value I received from Peter and Eastern Healing was during the initial consult, when Peter gave me a very detailed diet/​eating plan to follow — which made GREAT IMPROVEMENTS to my health and well being. Forever grateful to him for this.

Both my mental health (particularly a reduction in my stress level) and my chronic pain issues have improved since starting acupuncture with Peter in 2011. That hour of quiet with the needles really makes a difference in the rest of my week. And when I have an urgent health issue, such as a muscle spasm, Peter and Patti make sure to find room for me in the schedule. I am very pleased my PCP recommended Eastern Healing.

I have never had acupuncture before going to Eastern Healing. I have gone regularly for the past year and a half. It has made such a difference in my health and overall wellbeing. I have suffered with PCOS for almost 20 years. I was uncertain if my husband and I would be able to naturally conceive after trying to get pregnant for over a year. We are thrilled that we are 9 weeks pregnant! I know that Peter’s care through acupuncture and the use of Chinese herbs helped make that possible. I couldn’t imagine going to anyone else. Peter is wonderful. He takes his time to get to know you. He makes you feel truly cared for. The best aspect about this type of care is that he empowers you to be in control of your health. During his initial consultation he took such a thorough assessment and history. He recommended diet changes and educated me on simple changes that make a significant impact on my health. I plan to continue seeing Peter throughout my pregnancy and would highly recommend his services.

Eastern Healing is the best acupuncture in the western suburbs, in my opinion. I was struggling for years with infertility and had tried everything. Peter Harvey correctly diagnosed the problem immediately and treated me extremely successfully. Im now about to give birth! The staff is friendly and Peter is very knowledgable. You will feel better possibly after only one treatment. I sure did.

Eastern Healing has provided us with the most effective treatment to date! My husband and I highly recommend their services if you are looking for straight-​forward answers and timely results from a competent practitioner.
We initially came to their offices after seeing a number of specialists and suffering through a few years of fertility related problems. At that point we weren’t even sure that we would ever be able to conceive. After researching our options, we decided it would be worth the hour long commute (each way) to receive the best treatment possible and we put our faith in Peter Harvey.
After about 3 to 4 months of regular treatments at Eastern Healing (where we received an initial assessment of our physical health, revision of our diets, relevant herbal supplements and regularly scheduled acupuncture,) we finally managed to conceive and recently welcomed our first child. We also sent another family member to see Peter (who has been instrumental in helping to lower his blood pressure and better his overall health.)
We are always treated with such care and true friendship every time we go there (not to mention the helpful and worthwhile health-​related advice).
We have absolutely no reservations in advising all of our friends, family and acquaintances with health problems to go directly to Eastern Healing to consult with Peter Harvey. We strongly believe that Eastern Healing provides people with the most effective treatment in the quickest possible time.
