There are, I am sure, many good and worthy family law practices in Wheaton. I would steer clear of the Stogsdill firm. You do not get what you expect or what you deserve from a supposed advocate for your side. I hired the firm to help me with an important post-​decree matter. After securing my retainer, the rest was an uphill battle. I had reasonable expectations going in and ended up actually worse off. They are indifferent to your case, do not seem to invest properly in preparation or case law review, and basically will show up and mime whatever you ask, not necessarily what is best. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but if I had known this beforehand, I would have sought out another firm.
What makes matters worse, and is perhaps indicative of their attitude towards clients, is the fact that after I expressed my concerns in a clear and concise letter to Mr. Stogsdill, they brought action against me. Now I have a protracted battle with the very firm I hired to protect me.
