These people continue to harass me by calling my number after I have repeatedly told them that I am not the person they are trying to reach. (Changed my number with my carrier and got the one they keep calling.) Yeah. I understand you guys want to get paid. Consider not wasting resources antagonizing the WRONG PERSON, for starters!

this place is a joke i was sued for a hospital bill no problem we settled on amount at court
for the amount and court cost and NO NO NO interest on it by court records and wow i call and ask for remaining balance and poof 300 was added for interest without my knowlage or the courts and i ask how all i get is b. s they refuse to send records that i request or and info i wish i could sue them

Extremely poor management and terrible accounting on check & balances of proper payments made under personal or a court-​ordered agreement.
Blitt & Gaines called my attorney to claim they had not received my payments in 4 months, so I had to scramble to obtain bank statements proving I made those payments.
Their information and account numbers or case #‘s change, leaving me to beleive there is money being diverted elsewhere.
Then, when they exercise a Levy of your bank account, they have only a portion of what you’e paid on your bill as well as adding almost another $ 6k on top.
The State of Illinois Attorney General’s Office needs to look at their practice and accounting very closely.

These blitt and gaines no good, they sat on my case before tracking me dn, i am going to file counter suit against them soon, they claim they could not find me for ten years. charging me alot of interest! me and my lawyer will see them soon!

These people are calling me about a business I never owned, how do I stop them from calling?
I told them wrong number but a different person calls the next time… ugh!

This company by far is the cess pool of all collection agencies. When calling to try and collect on old debts they initially try to deceive you into believing they are lawyers. I had to interrupt the collecting script and ask «So your telling me your a lawyer? «After admitting they weren’t, they in turn tell me they are collection managers. Majority of these employees are convicted felons and unlicensed skip tracers. I received a call from the Social Security Office this week and they said they were calling me to follow up on our call from last week. I informed them I didn’t call them last week nor within the last 3 years. They then told me that «I «called them to have a wage earning report sent to me and to confirm wage earnings from employers in 2012 & 2013. They said the gentleman that called had all my personal information, (SS#, DOB, AND my mother’s maiden name.) I asked what information they provided to this caller and they told me only my wage earnings and employer from 2013. Low and behold I get a wage garnishment notice from the payroll department a few days later served by Lake County Sheriff’s Department. I work in a private sector at this company and am NOT listed in any company directory nor do I post where I work on any social media site. So if associates of Blitt & Gaines can impersonate any one of us to a federal government official and obtain our current POE with no consequences then I guess the law and constitution doesn’t apply to them. When they buy this debt or try to collect it for their clients, it comes with all your personal information with it. Anything you supplied to the original creditor is passed onto them. As long as they have your Full Name, Social Security number and DOB they will deceptively call all utility companies/​cable companies etc and say they are you to obtain current address info for you or any info they think they can fish from companies in attempt to locate you. This is illegal and it is identity theft and a blatant violation of the FDCA IN ALL 50 states. If the government gets another complaint or two I’m sure this will get cracked wide open. If you have been a victim of this, I advise you to not only file a police report immediately but to contact your attorney general. Calling any of your utility companies or Social Security Office impersonating you is a FEDERAL OFFENSE. I challenge ANYONE at Blitt to dispute this and I guarantee I’ll supply recorded calls and make contact with former employees. Next time Mr. Starzac call me back yourself jerk off. Stay away from this company. Retain counsel.

They tried to sue me and take me to court over some debt that I don’t know. Now they’re taking $ 120 out of my bank account every month. Evil people.

I guess this is where I should put the disclaimer that I’ve never used the services of Blitt & Gaines, on the contrary, I was served with papers in January of this year– these unscrupulous leeches were attempting to sue me in small claims court at the behest of Asset Acceptance Capital Corp– one of the truly bottom-​of-​the-​barrel collection agencies.
After doing a little digging (they had next to NO supporting information to prove that the claimed ‘debt’ was valid), I got my own attorney who got the case dismissed with prejudice, and has filed a countersuit for a violation of the FDCPA.
If you are a collection agency, identify yourself accordingly. If you are a collection agency masquerading as an Attorney’s office, at least have a working knowledge of the law in the state you purport to practice in.
My only regret is that violations of the FDCPA are limited to $ 1,000.00 per occurance– I’d love to see these crooked shysters put out of business. And apparently, I’m not the only one–
