History

Established in 2007.

Dynamic Wing Tsun Kung Fu Wheeling grew out of our schools in the Chicago area that have been going since 1988.

Born and raised in Bulgaria, Sifu Guerman Atanassov and his family moved from Bulgaria to Chicago in 2000. Sifu Atanassov started his training in Wing Tsun Kung Fu in 2001 under Sifu Mike Adams, who is the founder of Dynamic Martial Arts. In January 2012, Sifu Guerman Atanassov took over teaching the classes and the ownership of Dynamic Wing Tsun Kung Fu Wheeling as a branch of Dynamic Martial Arts.

This is a unique opportunity. All of our instructors are certified by Great Grandmaster Leung Ting and the International WingTsun Association.

Sifu Guerman Atanassov is a long-​time student of Sifu Mike Adams. He began his WingTsun training in his home country of Bulgaria under his first Sifu, Stanislav Bagalev, in 1997.

After he moved to Chicago in 2000 he joined Dynamic Martial Arts, IWTA-​NAS & continues to practice & teach Wing Tsun at Wheeling Park District Recreation Center.

Over the years, Sifu Guerman has attended many seminars with GGM Leung Ting & Sifu Will Parker & has many hours of private sessions with Sifu Mike Adams & Sifu Will Parker. Every year he visits his family in Bulgaria & uses the opportunity to meet with Sifu Bagalev to practice & exchange experience.

Since 2005 he is a Wing Tsun certified instructor & in 2008 he has received the title Sifu in Wing Tsun. Sifu Guerman began his journey in Martial Arts with Judo in 1984.

During the years he has also practiced Karate, Wu-​Shu & Tai Chi. Along with Wing Tsun he is practicing & teaching Tai Chi Chuan under Master Yang Jun 5^th Generation Yang Family Style.
