Wonderful Things at Palombo’s on 236th Street This location has been open for years. Quality never changes. The pastries are fresh, cookies are buttery, melt in your mouth and the cakes are delectable. Favorites are strawberry shortcake, chocolate mousse, and blackforest. While the carrot cake is one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Colleagues at my office in Manhattan ask me to bring Palombo goodies for their special occasions

DISAPPOINTED!!! I cannot believe it… every purchase we have made has been stale?! WTH? A good bakery discounts, dumps or donates day old baked goods for a good reason. I do not wish to waste money on stale goods! This place looks cute on the inside and the display cases are loaded BUT, the 3 times I gave them a chance to shine I ended up with stale cookies and dry stale cake… NOTCOOL!!! I wonder how long the baked items sit on the shelf?. .items are not baked stale! I am sad for both my community(don’t want to see another place close shop) and the fact that ShopRite has a better bakery… for a lot less money! I hope they can turn things around — quickly!

After leaving a great review not to long ago I have to say I am so disappointed. I went on a Monday and placed an order for a cake to pick up Wednesday afternoon I went with a sample they had on display chocolate moose, they said it would be baked fresh and ready by Wednesday. On display it was simple looking just a chocolate covered top and the bakery logo I let the lady know that all I wanted was in simple writing«happy birthday Luis«she said it would be done. when I went to pick it up on Wednesday there was a HUGE baby blue rose in the middle. I was stunned, what on earth would possess them to put that in the middle if that’s not what I asked for and not even what they had on display. I got upset and told them I didn’t ask for that, the girl called the«boss» and all they did was tell me I could choose from the display the same one even though it was baked 2 – 3 days ago. What was the point of me putting in an order to have a fresh baked cake? The girl didn’t even want to call back to find out how long it had been sitting there for. She kept telling me that her boss said to just give me my money back. I told her«so you would rather give me my money back then tell me when those were baked»? I knew it wasn’t the cashiers fault so I apologized for the way I reacted, but it was still very unprofessional what they did to me. In the end it was either a cake from there or a shop rite one so I took it although I was not happy. The person I got the cake for said it was good I wasn’t a fan or maybe I was too angry to be but I won’t be ordering cakes from here again!

Been here a few times. Very disappointed. The desserts didn’t taste home made. I was here when they first opened over the summer and while they served ice coffee they didn’t have the proper cups(which they said they had no intention of ordering). Instead they put the cold coffee in a hot coffee paper cup, which ended up with the cup becoming a soggy mess. Much better bakeries near by.
