The Ritz-Carlton Spa

just WOW. Nicholas’s 90 minute stress relief massage was the best massage I have ever had in my life. I have 15 – 20 massages a year from smaller establishments to nicer spas like the Ritz and the 4 Seasons… let me reiterate that Nicholas is out of this world amazing. Yes it’s pricey but worth every penny. He listened to my requests of not a lot of stretching or use of elbows. I prefer just hand motions and a focus on the back rather than a lot of time on arms/​legs. I feel amazing 24 hours later and completely loosened up. I also requested firmer pressure and he did not disappoint. If you want to enjoy the best massage of your life specifically ask for Nicholas. Worth every penny. The pool area was not much to call home about and the spa area itself is small but it does have a lemon water and a few snacks, steam shower, sauna, and a small relaxation room. The entire spa area smells amazing like aromatherapy which is important to me. The spa attendant Sharon was friendly and helpful. The spa was spotless of used glasses/​towels/​etc b/​c she was so on top of everything. Even the hand towels were in a perfect tower no matter how many times I know I took the top towel… the next time I was in the sink area the pyramid was complete again lol. Hands down I would definitely return as Nicholas is worth the splurge!

This review is for Cecile. Not only an incredible professional but a wonderful and kind person. I inquired with the hotel for a wash and styling for my wedding day and promptly received a call from Cecile. That morning I felt like royalty as I was warmly greeted and received a gift bag of quality goodies for the big day. Cecile, with her charming accent and years of knowledge made the experience for my father and I a ton of fun. The shampoo and scalp rub was incredibly relaxing, followed by a quick, yet impressive shoulder massage. Cecile then took the lead in styling and I felt like a million bucks. Thank you so much for helping to make the special day as great as it was!

The relaxation room was wonderful. My pedicure was great. However, I had the worst massage EVER! Wish I could include the ladies name. She chatted the whole time, the pressure was off despite feedback. I honestly didn’t want to spend the night whole massage being talked to and just closed my eyes and prayed it was almost over. I relayed my experience to the front desk who just shrugged it off.

This was by far the most luxurious spa experience I’ve ever had. I came here with my mom on our mother daughter trip and this was the highlight of the week. The products they use are so amazing we ended up buying a few before we left.
The staff is past 5 star customer service, experience and skills. I did the «total escape package” — full body massage, facial and mani/​pedi
It is very expensive and worth every penny.

This review is for Maria of the hair salon. She is a wonderfully talented and lovely person and hairstylist. Conversation made this blowout and haircut appt fly by in the best of ways. My hair looked amazing after, and everyone in the salon wanted haircuts and blowouts when she was finished. I’ve had haircuts at the best NYC salons, and she was one of the top ones.

Hubby and I stayed at the Ritz Westchester for our wedding anniversary/​his b’day/ Father’s day weekend. The pool area was just Ok, felt like there was little to no air circulating. The relaxing room is a bit small as well as the steam room and sauna. However, the spa is very well kept, the workers are attentive and kind.

This is only spa that I have been to in years that consistently provides excellent service in a beautiful setting. It is first class all the way. Once you book an appointment, you have full service for the day including valet parking, swimming pool and exercise facility. I have tried other spas in the area and have always been disappointed because the Ritz Carlton sets the bar so high. I have gone to sleep in the tranquility room on more than one occasion because I am so at peace after my massage or body treatment. I have decided to budget for monthly massages because it gives me the peace I need after a stressful work week.

I have travel the world and tried a variety of spas, so I was excited to add a US based Ritz to my experience. Getting a facial is my go to treatment as I can gauge the price, time spent and number of treatments received. Boy was I disappointed. They booked me for a 60 minute signature facial. This only included a cleanse, 5 mins of steam that didn’t hit my face, one hot towel that was lukewarm, some extractions and a mask. While the mask was on, I was suppose to have a neck massage, but what I got was someone rubbing lotion on my shoulders. Really for $ 150, plus a tip — I was more tense coming out then going in. Save your money, buy a sonicare facial cleaner and get the same effect at home!

I’ve been working my butt off lately and was looking forward to a get away at the Ritz Carlson spa, somewhere where my work and family would *poof* magically disappear :) I have to say though, the massage I got was one of the most aggravating and frustrating experiences in my storied massage career.
Right off the bat, I know I’m forking over $ 200 so I’m looking forward to a top notch experience. When the massage started I could sense there was something amiss; it was so light touch I could barely feel it. It was honestly the equivalent of the «cold fish» handshake, arguably the douchiest move in the history of organized society.
I’ve had many massages in my life so I know what to expect from a masseuse, and limp fingers and half assed effort ain’t a part of it. When I asked for more pressure the masseuse told me that she couldn’t do it unless I paid more. What, $ 200 doesn’t cut it for a proper massage?
I was turned off that they hit me up for more cash in the middle of the massage, but I tried to enjoy it for what it was. However, it was so weak and pointless that I had to discontinue… I simply said thanks and walked out.
I talked to the manager who was understanding and didn’t charge me, and that was definitely a redeeming factor. But I was deeply disappointed in the service quality considering the Ritz Carlson brand. Needless to say, I certainly wouldn’t return to their spa.

I just love this spa overall. Feel relaxed from the moment I walk in the door. Great service with a friendly staff. My sister and I had a wonderful afternoon

I have been to the spa several times for massages which have been wonderful. The facilities are clean and the staff are very friendly. I had the new york minute mani for the first time which was horrible. The tech painted polish over my cuticles and used drops to dry my nails which should dry them in a few minutes. Apparantly my nails never dried properly several hours later and I have smudges on all my nails and they chipped already. For $ 45 this should have been a better service. You are better off going to elizabeth arden for nail service.

I’ve been to this spa on two separate occasions for a massage and both times I have been very happy. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The changing area, facilities and showers were all very clean and well taken care of. The quiet area was relaxing. The massage both times were frankly one of the best I had ever received. I use to go monthly to a place out on the west coast that I loved and now I’d say that this masseuse has moved into the top spot. I say this because he has a way of releasing the knots without leaving you sore for days to come. You can tell that he loves his job.
I also love this spa because it has a steam room which is a priority for me before and after a massage.
The only thing I can say for a «con» is that it’s not a large place but it is perfect for a hotel. I highly recommend.

Amazing accommodations. The restaurant is wonderful. Love the pool area and gym. Close to the Westchester Mall. There’s even a Bentley on hand to drive you around. Wish I could move in. I always leave feeling rested like I’ve been on a vacation. Dogs are welcome.

Beautiful spa with exceptional service. I have gone there for a birthday massage with my mom for three years in a row now, and plan to continue this tradition for years to come.
The space is incredibly clean and well staffed, and the addition of breakfast in the spa is fabulous. I highly recommend Dave — he is the best!
I wish I could afford to go there more often!

Pure heaven. You are pampered the moment you arrive to the moment you leave! Beautiful facilities and outstanding staff and services! The base price is a tad expensive but if you use the pool and the other spa amenities, it’s actually not a bad value.

I had received a spa package as a gift and finally got around to using it. I had a really fabulous experience from top to bottom. Sarah did my massage and it was perfection, relaxing and just what I needed. Toni did my facial and she was extremely knowledgable, I will definitely be coming back for a follow up with her. Cecile did my manicure and she was the most pleasant and fun person to chat with. From the front desk to the women in the changing rooms showing me around, everyone was pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend the spa to anyone local or just visiting. I actually can’t believe its taken me so long to come here!

So my girlfriend I decided to treat ourselves to a mommy spa day. We work hard, full-​time jobs, and moms… we earned it! We wanted to find a place that wasn’t too crowded, offered sauna, steam room, lounge areas, great treatments, lunch and basically a place to retreat and veg out all day. Ritz Carlton met ALL the criteria and what an AMAZING day we had!
We booked the season celebration package. It included an amazing spa pedicure and 1 body treatment (they had 1 for each season). When you book a package you have use of the spa facilities from open to close… We capitalized on that for sure! we started the day out in the gym (gotta get a good workout in) and they had these wonderful cold cucumber towels and tasty citrus water to refresh us after. The sensory showers were amazing: jets shooting at you from all directions were perfect! The sauna was nice and hot but not as dry as I am use to. The pedicure was perfect. We relaxed in big comfy chairs while our toes were primped and toasted with our mimosas. The dried fruit was just enough to hold us over for a pool side lunch. I was not impressed wit the pool menu offerings but I’m sure if yo plan ahead you can arrange to have lunch delivered from one of the many near by restaurants.
The body scrub was DIVINE! There is so much I can say about it but that one word sum it up. Utterly amazing! I also loved the lounging beds they have so you can just relax, nap, and enjoy the perfect ambiance in the spa.
Oh and did I mention they have complimentary valet?!?
The spa was a bit pricey but no more so than any other great spa I have been to. Can’t wait to go back!

I was there Feb. 1, 2012 as a birthday surprise from my husband.
The treatment from the minute you arrive is superb. They give you a little tour then a locker to change into a very comfy robe. next you are wisked away to the relaxation lounge where you wait for you services, there you can have tea, the most refreshing citrus water, nuts and dried fruit.
Kelly called me in a nd she gave me the best pre– natal massage i have ever had
” mellow mama”. Kelly was gentle but firm and really made me feel comfortable.
when i was all done she waited for me outside the room with a glass of citrus water .
Then i went back to relaxaton lounge to wait for my facial. even just waitting for my next appointment was a pleasure.
last but not least i got a gel manicure by Nancy possibly thge best manicure ive ever had… 5 stars all the way. will be back with my mom in June for her Bday.
oooh and all the amenities like the sauna, steam room and pool are available to you till 8pm. you can spend all day there.

Definately the best pedicure I have ever gotten and I get regular pedicures every 2 weeks, although mine cost $ 20 & this cost me $ 80. 20% tip is automatically added & you pay NY sales tax of about 8% which brought me to 78 & change.
The salon is small, with 2 manicure stations, 1 make up station, & 2 hair chairs with one sink for washing hair. There are 2 pedicure chairs that are in a seperate room, although not closed off by a door just an open doorway. For the most part it was only me & Cecile (the nicest french lady who gives the best pedicures!). She was warm, friendly, and inviting as are all members of the staff at the hotel. She had someone bring me a glass of champagne and we chatted & she gave me the latest people magazine & explained every detail of what she was doing, with out infringing upon my relaxation time!
If I lived closer I might visit her more frequently, although $ 80 every two weeks for a pedicure is pretty pricey if you ask me.
With every spa treatment you are allowed to use the sauna/​steam room at no charge so definately plan to take some time after your pedicure to enjoy the complimentary ammenities.
Cecile also did my bfs gentlemans manicure (same day only a few hrs apart) and he raved about her as well. She also sent him home with a little goodie bag of cuticle cream, a nail brush, and an organe stick & told him to take better care of his cuticles! LOVED THAT! He doesn’t get manicures on a regular basis, only for special occasions so he definately enjoyed the service & realized how important it is to take good care of your cuticles even though you’re a guy!
