It came as a complete surprise and disappointment when I checked in on the Great Clips app only to show up to someone locking the door as I was walking up. «We closed at 5:00 due to the Labor Day holiday.» «But the app shows you’re open until 9pm and I’m already checked in.» «Well, that is a corporate app and we are a franchise.» As if that was anacceptable excuse for turning away a loyal customer. My hair is short. It takes less than 5 minutes to cut. I made a special trip across town to be turned away at the door shortly after 5:00 when the hours were clearly showing Open til 9:00pm. I make it a special point to tip well in hopes of getting good consistent service in return. I have brought my business to this Great Clips for the past couple of years, but with the callous attitude that I was met with, I believe it was my last.

Cindy gives a great cut — been going to her for years. My hair shows any mistakes and most places I go I simply get butchered! Cindy gives me an excellent cut, no issues and she does it fast. No muss no fuss! When she moved locations I came along!

So a decent haircut is a hit or miss situation. And it really depends on who is cutting the do. I have no complaints on the service, but I do have when it comes to privacy. I go in to Great Clips as a walk-in and the lady asks for my number… no problem. But then she started asking for my address, and that’s were I draw a line. So I sit down and wait for my turn. People are coming in and getting their haircut before me — understandable because of on-line check in. But this were it gets funny for me. That same lady who checked me in made it a point to ask and confirm every address with every customer. She also made it a point about the coupons that get mailed out by giving an address. Honestly, if it’s so great to get coupons; how about emailing them to me… what’s the big deal. Everyone has a smart phone and it would save SOMUCH time and money to just email me my coupons. In the mean time I will probably spend a little more for a good haircut to skip the BS.

Ok, I went to Great Clips, I get it! But damn, must I leave with a jacked up do? It was not busy when I went, but I swear the dude who cut my hair cut it in less than 8 minutes. I was thinking, are we racing someone? My hair was still a lil wet when i left, so I couldn’t see exactly what happened. When I got home, upon further inspection, the horror, the absolute horror was discovered. I will not bore you with details, but man, I got jacked. Second mistake, I had the wifey try to trim to the sides to make them even. WRONGMOVE, LMAO!!! Lesson learned on both accounts. I cannot stand Great Clips, but I still love my wife, the end…

Well it is a Great Clips, if you have been to one, you pretty much know what they are like. I’ve had worse haircuts(way, way, way worse) and I’ve had better. It depends on who you get usually. The good thing is you don’t need an appointment, so when you are looking a little shabby and want a quick trim you often only have a short wait before you are in the seat.
