Four Two’s

The worst. They have stiffed me twice at my airports. Will never use them again. First time they made me wait 1 ½ hours and when I called, they told me they had no car available, so their problem went away. Second time, needed pickup from LaGuardia. This time waited on the pickup medium for over and hour and they told me driver was there, but left because he couldn’t find me. What a load of BS! If I could give them 0 stars, I would.

I have used this car service on a number of occasions to take me to LaGuardia airport and they were always on time and very courteous.

Another horrendous neighborhood taxi. There are no reliable taxis in this area. I called them to see if they’re available tonight for a pickup and they tell me yes, & I called back and they tell me they were closed. I tried them again and they told me that they did not know if they were going to be open later and to call. I don’t know how these people run their business. I will never use them again.

The operator taking calls is very nasty and rude. The cars I always get is very old. Drivers could be really nasty as well. Their always in a rush and acting crazy.

Drivers are okay and show up on time. My problem with this business is that it won’t survive unless it updates its practices. The cars are really really old and smelly and you have to pay in cash. In 2015! And both times in last couple weeks that I used them the drivers did not have change. In this day and age that is just completely unacceptable!

I have been using them for over a year frequently there early most times patient sometimes in a hurry but their prices are very reasonable especially in today’s economic situation believe me they’ll get my business as long as I’m in their service area

I’ve used Four Twos on many occasions and have never had a problem. They’re usually 5 minutes early and eagerly lift the heavy suitcases and put them in the trunk.
I’d recommend them highly.

I’ve heard about Four Two’s since I was a young man living in Flushing. So they have a long track history, but when it comes to airport service, one tends to only remember the most recent experience. Accurate estimate? Check ($ 23). Compare «Caprice II» who initially quoted me $ 20, only to call me back ten minutes later saying they made a mistake and it would cost $ 25. On-​time? Check check. Driver arrived spot-​on the requested time 5:40am the following day. Friendly and courteous but not too talkative (u less u are looking for that). Check check check. Clean non-​smokey smelling car? Quadruple check. ‘Nuff said.

I barely write reviews but this company has some very serious problem with their phone operators/​dispatchers! If the owners are reading this, you need to change your phone receptionists as soon as possible! Get people who are respectful, dependable and have pleasant telephone manners.

I reserved a car the night before I needed a ride to LaGuardia airport. With Christmas right around the corner, I expected delays. I was happily surprised when Terry called ten minutes before my scheduled pick up time to say that he was waiting outside. He was very friendly and even took care of my bags. Fast and reliable service from these guys; I’ll definitely use them again.

The worst car company ever. They never come on time (30 – 45 minutes late). They’re rude (The dispatcher is the worst). The cars are old and smell bad. Avoid them.

I’m sorry. I can’t even give this taxi company one star but it won’t let me post my complaint if I don’t put one star. My mother who is a senior citizen has been taking the four two’s for over a year. She doesn’t drive and she lives in Whitestone. She’s put up with their crap long enough. I found her another company for a few more dollars but it’ll be worth every penny. First of all their cars are so disgusting. Actually I don’t know what’s more disgusting, the cars or the drivers. I’m sure if you live in this town you’ve seen them driving like lunatics on side streets. My mom says a prayer every time she reaches her destination. The dispatcher is down right nasty. There are two. A woman and a man. They’ve hung up on my mother numerous times when she calls to check the status of her late taxi. I can go on and on. If everyone just stops using them we can put them out of business. It’s unreal what people get away with.

One of worst companies ever. They don’t answer half the time when they do they make you wait for 45 mins to an hour. I call caprice now.

Don’t use Four Two’s if you like getting places on time. Cars often come 20 – 30 minutes late. Drivers are friendly enough, but maybe they’re just trying to salvage a tip out of arriving super late.

WORST MISTAKE CALLING FOUR TWOS!
I called them at 5 AM — I needed to get to JFK by 6 but no later. I live 20 minutes away from JFK and thought I was giving myself more than enough time. I called and the operator said 15 minutes, I mention I am going to JFK and can’t be late, Operator says yes 15 minutes, probably earlier.
15 minutes later I’ m outside waiting with my suitcase for a car to pull up. No car.
I CALL AGAIN– operator says 10 minutes. I said I called at 5 and was told 15 minutes. shouldn’t the cab be close by? the operator says OK 6 minutes and hangs up.
10 minutes later NO CAB and I’m starting to get nervous. I CALL AGAIN — «Hi Ive been waiting for a cab for 25 minutes is one coming?» the Operator says u called 5 minutes ago– I said no I called 25 minutes ago. The operator gets angry and says well the request was only put in 5 minutes ago. cabs are not just waiting at the corner to come pick you up– u need to give them time to get there.
yes I am aware of that but I called 25 minutes ago and now I’m scared any longer and I will miss my flight. He says 10 minutes and hang up.
At this point I called the flushing cab service 718−358−1111.
10 minutes go by guess what FOUR TWOS IS STILL NOT THERE.
It is now 35 minuties later– 20 minutes LATE from the original time they said they would come.
THE FLUSHING CAB SERVICE ARRIVES BEFORE FOUR TWOS. The driver was super nice I told him could u please step on it as I am now running late. The driver magically gets me to JFK in 10 minutes enough time for me to rush my check in and make my flight.
I did not get a phone call from Four Twos saying a cab was outside until 5:50 AM that is 50 MINUTES AFTER my original phone call.
So unless you have time to wait an hour for a cab and want to argue with the operator and have a near panic attacked worried that you will miss your plane, then call four twos.
if you want a TIMELY cab service with FRIENDLY drivers CALL 718−358−1111 THE FLUSHING CAR SERVICE. They will now be my go-​to cab service whenever I am in queens.

Man, these guys seem to completely HATE their job. They’re absolutely miserable. Not to mention the cars are rundown, always smell of cigarettes and sweat for some reason, they curse at other cars, and really just aren’t classy. There are certainly FAR better options, not to mention ones that are much cheaper.

Used them dozen of times and service always been great. Gets me to where I want to go fast. The cars conditions vary from my trips. Sometimes very nice, some times weathered and need to be repaired. They always either showed up on time or early. So far no problems.

It was impossible for me to give them something lower then a 1. i absolutly cannot stand this cab. i have used then a bunch of times and each time i have regret it. They refuse to take you the way in which you want to go (which is against the law) they are rude not only to the passangers but also to each other. They change the amount of the cab ride while i was in the cab because «they didn’t realize my destination». Also i was crused at when i called to see why.(and i wasn’t even being nasty!) all in all i wish they would shape up their act cause they suck!

I really don’t get the negativity for Four Two’s. Ok, they might not have the nicest cars. Ok, some of their drivers look sketchy. But since I can remember, I never had a problem with the actual service. I use to live in the outskirts of Whitestone and they would never take more than 10 – 15 minutes to pick me up. Prices were always reasonable.
Plus, as any native Whitestoner can attest to, who can forget:
«Four Two’s, this is Stu, where are you?»

Worst car service in Queens. Avoid at all costs. I can write pages of stories where Four Two’s have arrived late, had rude and violent drivers, (yes, that’s right, I said violent) and flat out left me stranded.
