Specialties

We specialize in care for all dogs and cats and are able to accommodate all ages from puppies and kittens to senior citizens. Each pet has his or her own individual run in our comfortable, heated and air conditioned facility. All dogs are walked three times daily on scenic paths on our ten acres, and also get time to play or relax in our fenced play area. All walks and plays are included in our boarding fee. We have experience giving all types of medications. We also offer full service grooming or bathing.

Our boarding cats have individual quarters each with a window for bird watching, an indoor play room to climb or nap in, and an outdoor, completely fenced, «catio» to bask in the sun or watch birds from.

History

Established in 1989.

The kennel opened in 1989 offering both cat and dog boarding. Grooming services were added in 1998. A large addition for dog boarding was completed in 2006 offering indoor boarding with insulated floors and an air exchange system providing climate controlled comfort year round. Cat boarding was expanded in 2009 adding an indoor play room, windows in individual pens and an outdoor play area. The current owner has been in business for 14 years (2013).

Business Owner

I purchased Tall Oaks Kennel from the previous owner who was retiring in 1999. I added pet grooming as an additional service at the kennel and worked to build a clientele. A large addition for dog boarding was completed in 2006 and the area for boarding cats was expanded and moved in 2009. Throughout the years I and my staff have helped to support pet rescue efforts by working with several animal rescue groups to foster and socialize pets until they can be placed in a foster home or find permanent homes through adoption. My own pets are all rescues.
