When you’re dealing with this company you’re dealing with honesty and integrity. They like to not even tell you how great a deal you’re getting tell after you get there. For example, they stated my wonderful awesome vehicle I purchased had 49,000 miles on it. When I get there it has under 47,000 miles on it. Everything this company said about the vehicle was true but it ended up being even better than I had thought. I have never purchased a vehicle and felt better about a decision in my entire life. You can trust in this company and when David says something he will back it up with his honesty and integrity. I have never heard about this company as I found this company on craigslist and being an hour and a half away I had to trust David. I was in a car accident and was referred to this place by someone I know. Before my vehicle was towed to the site by the insurance company of the driver who hit me, I had spoke with Daniel which is one of the Owners sons that works there, he had promised i would be in good hands. During the week my vehicle was on this property i had been waiting for a phone call from the adjuster to see how much vehicle damage there was, when i finally received the news it was from Daniel from A&D auto that the insurance had claimed my vehicle a total loss. At that point i decided to accept the insurance companies offer because i was not at ease knowing i have children in my vehicle quite often and knowing my tire/​frame would never be %100 back to normal. The moment i advised Daniel from A&D auto that i would be accepting the check from the insurance company he began to get angry and tell me «I’m not making any money off of you, if thats the case then why did you bring your car here to begin with???» I then advised him that i did not know the insurance company would be deeming my vehicle a total loss and that my intentions had been to get my vehicle fixed. He continued to be EXTREMELY RUDE!!! I was completely appalled at what was coming out of his mouth so i hung up the phone and continued discussing the matter with the insurance company. I then received a call back within less than 5 mins from Daniel with A&D auto telling me that the insurance isn’t responsible for anything, and that i would have to pay everything to them cash and out of my pocket. (This is part of his bullying tactic). I hung up and called my insurance company who advised me they would pay out $ 275.00 of the 6 days of storage i had my vehicle there for at $ 35.00 a day and if it went over i would be responsible. I then asked Daniel from A&D auto when i could pay the difference and pick up my vehicle, he then stated that the daily storage fee was $ 65.00 a day! even though he previously told myself and the insurance company it was $ 35.00 a day. I called the insurance company and they told me he had changed the price with them and was currently charging $ 55.00 a day plus a $ 10.00 «Administration fee» for a security they have 24 hours that nobody has ever seen walking the premises. After this i received yet another harassing phone call from Daniel from A&D auto saying that i owed $ 95.00 an hour for 4 hours of their Mechanics labor. i asked him why there was anything done to my car when nobody had authorized anything, the vehicle was just sitting there waiting for the insurance to inspect it and take pictures. He then told me that they’ve been working with Insurance companies for 30 years (Daniel does not look older than 35 years old mind you) and that the insurance adjusters require them to take off the front tire so the insurance adjuster can see the car in detail from all angles?! I spoke with the insurance directly and they said that was absurd, they ask for the vehicle to not be touched and left in the accident position so they can photograph it and make their quote adjustments and also told me that when the insurance company was on site the car was not torn down in any way, shape, or form! Daniel then held my car hostage basically for another 2 days of storage fees and when i went in person to pay these BOGUS fees just to get my vehicle out and to stop raking up actual storage fees, i had to deal with his other rude brother who said he was the manager and i would have to wait until Daniel got back. I left there having to pay $ 400.00 out of my pocket, on top of the $ 275.00 that the insurance paid out to A&D auto and no work was ever done to my vehicle! These were all bogus costs and i will be following up with small claims court!
I advise you not to take your vehicle there… check with the better B.B.B.
They also have 3 other locations that are all owned by them, one is a smog place, another is a bank repo or something along the lines of… plus this auto body shop and i believe an actual mechanic shop!
PLEASE BEWARE!!!
Both insurance companies involved are completely aware of this «Chop shop» as they have referred to it as and will not be working with this Auto body shop in the future!
