Established in 1992.

Daniel Varela is a Whittier Advanced Kinesiologist and Energetics who serves Whittier and the surrounding communities in CA .

Daniel Varela founded the Deep Tissue Center as an alternative health clinic in February of 1992. Mr. Varela is a graduate of the California College of Physical Arts, the International College of Kinesiology, Board certified as a Kinesiology Instructor and is a Board Certified Expert in Alternative Medicine. With an extensive background in soft tissue injuries it was not long before athletes began to avail themselves to this alternative form of therapy. Specializing in Deep Tissue manipulation and Applied Kinesiology he developed what is now called Body Pattern Synchronization.

The Ratliff family has known and trusted Danny for 16 years. Our sons played youth football and have had numerous sports injuries. Danny always took great care of our boys. I first saw Danny a little over 2 years ago, and came to him with sore knees, and shoulder and neck stiffness. I’d tried chiropractors but didn’t get the level of relief I was looking for. Right away I saw results with Danny. After the first visit, most of the discomfort was gone. I had some lingering stiffness in my knees and he was able to successfully address that with a few more visits. The difference with Danny is that he really takes a holistic approach to helping his clients. He recognizes that everything is connected, and will start working on feet and hips to make improvements to the neck and shoulders. It works, I got results from Danny that were superior to other treatments and now I go in once every few months for a small tune up. Danny was surprisingly effective compared to my experience with others, and I highly recommend him to anyone with chronic discomfort.

Kinesiology is the best practice ever!!! I have been suffering from an injury on my right shoulder for almost 3 months. I thought letting it rest, taking it easy when lifting would make it better but I was wrong, it’s still painful. So, I decided to see Danny at the Deep Tissue Center. Yesterday was my second session and once again, he did wonders! I feel much stronger and range of motion is almost painless. I can’t wait ’till my next session! I will compete again… possibly before the end of the year… that is my goal!!!

Today I just completed my third session with Danny. I was a varsity athlete in HS baseball and football, as well as played two seasons of NCAA Division 1AA football. I have recieved treatment from athletic trainers and chiropractors, but did not have nearly as good of treatment, that i have received from Danny. First session, I described my past athletic experience and the troubled area (sciatic nerve area). After diagnosing the problem area through my foot, he began to work the muscles surrounding the trouble area to relieve any pressure or stress that i had. Turns out i had been walking, running, and lifting with the left side of my body significantly weaker than the right side, because of the scar tissue found in my glutes and hamstring region. After today i feel balanced, relieved, and aligned. I would recommend Danny’s services to anyone (Athlete or other person experiencing pain in their body) Give him a call, real friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. Thanks Danny! –FC
