If you’re interested in going to this location I recommend having Charmaine as your waxer she is AMAZING! She works quickly but everything comes out great! The first reservation I made I chose her without reading any reviews or anything and ever since then I have stuck with her. As for the overall review for this location the staff is extremely friendly and helpful I love it there.

3 stars to stay neutral. Went online to book my appointment and I indicated that it was my first time there. The girls were friendly, but it turns out I couldn’t do my wax because I was on Retin-​A for acne and it’s recommended to be off of it for at least 7 days. Wish I would have known… wish the system would have asked me these questions online, or had them give me a call to pre-​screen before wasting my time to drive down there!
So if you use Retin-​A, you’re now fore warned.

They do provide great costumer service, but the waxing service itself is no good!!! Especially for the price. I’ve been getting Brazilian wax for about 4 years and have gone to the same person until I moved and was recommended this place. I had two different girls and both left me, what I’d say UNFINISHED. I’m upset I even paid the second time! I am pregnant so I had to wait to check the job once I was home. Never again. You’re paying for the name of the place, not the quality of work.

Won’t be back.
I do have to say, the customer service was great. The manager got in contact with me and offered me a complimentary wax for the horrible service I got.
I decided to give them another try but I am once again disappointed. I don’t think they train them properly. The girl who had me this time was very nice and on some areas she did a good job but both visits the girls went over the already waxed parts 3 – 4 times. Every other wax place I’ve gone to never does more than 2 times on an already waxed area. My skin started to get more irritated because she kept going over and over my already sensitive skin (This happened both times). Secondly on some areas she didn’t apply the wax in the direction of the hair growth and as a result the hair broke off and I can feel all the stubble, which is a lot.
I don’t know how their other wax services are but their Brazilians aren’t that good.
The extra stars was only for the customer service. I’m being generous giving them 3, I really want to give them 2 but the manager was kind enough to give me a complimentary wax. If I had paid for this wax job I would have been very upset.

So this is was my first time coming here normally I go elsewhere and I liked it. I got a full Brazilian wax. Katelyn (hope I spelled it right) assisted me, she was very nice and loved how she would talk to me to keep me distracted. She did it quickly and efficiently. The only reason why I don’t give her 5 is because she did leave a few hairs unfortunately.
I’d recommend to come here just check your work before leaving (:

I’ve been coming to this location for a while and definitely merits a review. All my experiences have been pleasant and I definitely appreciate the kind reminder phone calls before my scheduled appointments. The girls at the front desk show upmost professionalism and already remember my name. Since I’ve started my treatments I’ve been working with Robin. I am glad that we got paired together since the beginning because her personality makes event the most daunting procedure not as bad. She explained to me the process and recommended some after care products. Another reason why I love working with Robin is because she simply gets you in and out quickly. I’ve also never had to wait more than 3 minutes for her so that’s always pleasant.

Came in as a walk in. My wait was great, roughly 2 min as they had an opening. Was assisted by Shandon L. Who was awesome. Very happy with my experience and have already recommend this location. I will return in the future.

Shannon is great! She’s friendly and gives me tips on how to help my skin. Plus she helps the pain by talking about different things and asking me questions.
The ladies at the front are really nice and the center is really clean. You don’t wait very long and get seen right away. If it’s busy then you might wait a few minutes and maybe get rushed a little, but still it’s great.

Starting with the initial phone call to make my appointment all the way to the check out everything was a piece of cake. It was my first time every having this specific wax service done and Alyssa was great. She kept my mind off of what was being done. She talked me through the process which completely eased my nerves. Since it was my first time going they gave me 50% off and my friend who refereed me got a $ 5.00 credit to her account. I will definitely returning!

I came in as a walk-​in and was told I could be seen in half hour for my complimentary eyebrow wax so I waited. Place is clean and inviting. I was taken into the room and was given a breakdown of how the wax was gonna go down which I found pretty cool.
The wax: I was surprised at the «hard wax» itself, and found it was a lot less painful than the normal brow wax I get. The experience was overall relaxing, and the esthetician gave me good tips on how to care for my skin. They kinda do push sales on their products but no biggy, girls gotta eat I get it.
The result: This is where I was like waaa?. So the girl gave me the mirror to look at my brows and before I could utter the words «They look too thick», she started to explain why she left SO MANY hairs unwaxed. Apparently something about the hair growth cycle, and she wanted them to look fuller for when I draw them in, blah blah blah. Just because I powder my brows doesn’t mean they shouldn’t shape them properly. She basically «cleaned» them up, but I’m someone who likes a defined shaped brow. I’m glad this service was complementary because i would never pay $ 18 for the end result. I’ll stick to my nameless eyebrow lady at the nail salon (who only charges $ 7).
Great service and care, but eh.

The wax and products they use here are the best of the best.
All of the waxer here are very experienced and does amazing. If you go to a cheap, inexperienced waxer, hair will grow back quicker, you won’t be smooth/​hairless and you will be in a lot of pain!
Been to many places but EWC tops.

I was really hesitant to try a wax because I was embarrassed and shy about it. My sister convinced me to come in. I had a pleasurable experience from the moment I called to the minute I walked out. Yes, they tried to sell me the whole thing before I got waxed but that’s their job and when I didn’t show interest they were not pushy. Best of all Rhiannon did a great job talking to me the entire time and making sure I was okay. I recommend everyone to try it for yourselves.

Please avoid this company, especially this location. The manager Laura gave me incorrect information on multiple occasions regarding my wax pass expiration date. She claimed Sara (a staff member) was incorrect with the information provided to me. I requested to speak with someone else since we were not able to come to a resolution. She declined again and again.
Laura was able to confirm with corporate that Sara was correct.
I emailed corporate on four separate occasions and NOT ONCE did they contact me.
I have never been treated so poorly by a manager or establishment.

First timer. Great experience. Half off full bikini wax for local residents. I forgot the name of my esthetician but she was awesome and I booked my second appt as well. She made me feel 100% comfortable by sharing her experience and the experiences of her other clients. Her pep talk was fantastic.
I decided to buy the serum bc my skin is very sensitive. It’s $ 25 but better safe then sorry! I could have chosen to purchase a cheaper bikini serum elsewhere but I did not feel like going on a goose hunt and I trust this waxing centers recommendations. Also, I think the serum will last me through a couple waxes.

This only my second time here so I’m basing my rating on service and technique.
I had a regular place id go but i recently moved so i had to find a new place. This EWC is less than a mile from my house!
When i walked in the front lobby area is small but that’s ok. It’s clean and the front desk is pretty nice.
The first time i got my underarms done and i redeemed my first time customer complimentary bikini wax. I got Jane and she was so nice. I told her id gone to the same lady for the last 4 years.
Jane did a great job! I was nervous trying someone new but the she worked clean and fast, which is something im used to, so i was impressed by her skill and technique. I am definitely scheduling all my future appointments with her!

I’ve never been to any of the locations before, so this one was my first. I have seen them in many other cities so I wanted to try it out. I called to make an appointment and both times that I have been here they actually were pretty much not busy so I got to go in on the same day. Which is pretty nice.
The inside looks super clean and everything is well organized. They have a few rooms and each time I went I did have a different wax lady. But both ladies were super friendly and really nice. I will be back and I did like how it was good wax.
This place is located in the same area as JC Penny, Panera Bread, Vons Supermarket and that Envy Massage Spa place. Plenty of parking since this area is super huge. If you want to try this place out you should call in and make an appointment.

Services: Ladies can get waxed pretty much everywhere. Gents is everything except man Brazilians.
Takes: Estheticians are professional. For all you Brea folks who went to Katelyn for your waxing needs, she’s here! I was so excited when Chanel told me that Katelyn is here; for me, Brea was never the same when she left. I’d still go regardless because that was the closest location to me until I heard about this Whittier location. Also, Redondo people, Alma is here too! They have quite a robust staff here at Whittier; you won’t go wrong with any of the wax specialists.
Ambiance: The rooms are clean and well maintained; think sterile as a doctor’s office, but with the ease of a friend easing you thru the process. Mommies, they do let your kids come with you into the room. Rooms are also accommodating to wheelchairs.
Products: No matter if are new or a regular, they will encourage you to purchase their products. I did notice that this location didn’t shove their products down your throat. That’s good especially if you are a regular and are still good with your products.
Note: If you can do 1 only, I’d go with the anti ingrown serum esp day of; another fave is the exfoliate. Don’t feel like you must purchase them tho!
Pain Level: First time is always the worst. Reason being is that you are essentially removing the hair follicles from the root. Subsequent times aren’t as painful (unless you wait too long between sessions). Do talk to your esthetician about your concerns!
Price: It is pricey. They do have different packages that you can avail (student packages, limited prepaid, and unlimited services packages). If you see yourself coming on a regular basis, then I’d do one of the packages. They have a payment plan of 3 payments (1 payment for 3 months) if you don’t want to charge it at one time. These payments will be automatically charged to your card.
Appointments: I love how they call you a day ahead of time to confirm your appointment. Depending on the availability, they can change your appt day of. Also, do schedule for your next visit the day you come in; that means points – points mean money you could save on your next service or product!
Tips: New clients get their first wax free! If you want a Brazillian on your first time, it is 50% off!
Location: 2 miles versus 5 miles from home? Yes, please! That means less gas and more convenience as I go about my day. They are located in the Whittwood Town Center near Edible arrangements and Joy Sushi.
Bottom line: Go here for your waxing needs!

If you are looking for a good wax place it is definitely here. I have been going to the Brea location for over 2 years now and refuse to pick up a shaver! I was so happy when I found out the Whittier location was opening up. So perfect and close to home. I would always be running late trying to get to my appointment in Brea on the busy street of Imperial.
What I like about this location already is that it is bigger and the girls at the front are nicer here. The girl that was there greeted me with a smile and paged my waxer Nena to have her out right away. Nena did a great job and was super friendly. I got the brazalian which always comes out so nicely with their wax. They have the wax that dries hard and they pull it off directly, no paper is used which I love! And for those who are scared to try it, it does not hurt like you think! Totally 100% worth it!
Every time you make a new appointment to come back you get points added to your account which can later be used to money off your bill. I had previously purchased the buy 12 get one free which makes checking out so much easier. I also like that my points from Brea will still be able to be used here they just won’t show up on the receipts.
I highly recommend giving it a try. I make all my friends do it!
