Five Points Hand Car Wash

Came to this place 2 weeks ago with a coupon book. They cut it out and gave me the discount as well as a decent car wash that took forever. Went again today with my husbands car and for some reason the owner decided to no longer take any of the unexpired coupons. Why? Cause it wasn’t worth it to him. Some problems with customers. What the hell does that have to do with the rest of us who bought this $ 20 discount book!!! Should of known better when I arrived and there were no cars being washed! Do not go to the place. New owner does not know how to conduct business.

This place is a total joke. Ivan, the manager is a major Scrooge. I had my car washed yesterday and was very disappointed. First, the car sat for 10 minutes and they didn’t dry it, so I have water spots all over. Then the employee was not even half done and the manager comes and starts yelling at him, that he needs to get on with the next car, and grabs all the towels and leaves my car half finished! I couldn’t believe it. I will never go back there. Ivan the manager is a total nuisance.

I’ve got my car washed from here HUNDREDS OF TIMES and each time, I never encountered any problems, damages or any incoviences what so ever. Plus my dad has been coming here for years and he is a picky guy with his car.
This car wash is runned by hard working men that show pride in their work and I could tell they really want that tip at the end by how much effort they put in cleaning every inch & trying to get each area of your car. Yes there is a lot of bad reviews on here but no company is 100% perfect. The only thing I could complain about is maybe the girl cashier (?.) she could be more friendlier and also, they seem understaffed so maybe hire more staff to push the cars out faster because I did wait over 30 mins and even over an houe before.
Some advice
— Come on your day off and expect it to take 30 – 60 mins
–Bring cash if you care about tipping. *I felt bad one time not tipping one time cause I had no cash*

I was just there Sunday morning and it took over an hour and a half. it wasn’t that busy but they seemed really understaffed. while I was waiting no one was attending the automatic car wash and 2 cars collided no major damage just a little dent but the management said the debt was there before. the owner of the car and several other people saw what happened and no one agreed with the management. aside from that the quality of the car wash was poor and the windows we’re streaky. I will not be going back ever.

This business is definitely open. I do not recommend you patronize this inept business since they allowed another car to hit my Mercedes-​Benz during the air drying process by not moving my car forward. How incompetent!
Sure they apologized, refunded my money only because I asked for that and a slight buffing in the dinged area. The man after me took a video and the man after him can’t find his cell phone that was left in the cat. Their prices went up, for what? The service is worse than ever before. I spent 2 hours for just a standard car wash.
Please go to a reputable business elsewhere. The manager never asked for my information to rectify the situation. The bare minimum service was provided and I will never go there again. I will make sure everyone I speak with never goes there either.

AVOID THIS PLACE! Normally I prefer to wash my own car. I brought my Subaru here and they said it as too low so I had to get an upgraded wash if I wanted one, I passed. Another time my friend brought his car, they gave the keys to the wrong person and they ended up stealing my friends car! He found it a couple weeks later gutted out. Lastly I brought another car here and decided to get it washed since I had some time to kill. HUGE MISTAKE! They scratched my car in several spots. My windshield my doors and my side window. Cars are a hobby for me so I know what scratches I have. When I complained they said «prove it, where’s your picture» wow. Horrible customer service. Attitude and no help whatsoever. I was better off with a dirty car. I think the guy either scratched it with a ring, watch, belt or maybe he dropped the rag and picked it back up with a rock. My car never had those scratches. Anyway I will never be back and I recommend avoiding this place at all costs!

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I took my car to get washed and it took over an hour! I thought «my car is going to look great» not the case the guy was eating Cheetos and rushed washing my car! My car was sitting there for 10 min before someone went to go dry it.
There were water spots that were left on my car! And of course dried and now tough to come out! My car is Bearly a month old and NOW HAS WATER SPOTS! Very angry

What happened? What happened? What happened? The place is now run down.. there are not nearly enough workers and there is nothing more in stock.. the workers still do a good job but it took an hour to get my car out of the wash area and it had to still be dried!!! It’s sad to see a once booming place hit the dark side..

THESE PEOPLE STOLE SOMETHING OUT OF MY CAR!!! didn’t realize it until I got home!!! don’t go there on top of that they didn’t even wash my car because they took too long! I can believe they had the audacity to take something that isn’t theirs

I bring my car here monthly for an inexpensive $ 12 wash. Basically to get my car vacuumed and get the dirt off the windows. Good for the price. However I was here on ⁸⁄₂₆ and the power went out. No one bothered to explain what happened. It took them 1 hr to hand wash and dry my car but it looked great. However, I overheard the employees saying the owner didn’t pay the electricity bill «again». I felt horrible for the employees. It’s sad to see a business in a historic area not doing well. I drove by today and it was closed. For the employees sake I hope the owner can pull it together.

Worst carwash in the world! I pulled up and there was a guy on the floor! Latino either hung over or shot! He finally got up. When another man approached who worked at the place. They should just say they are charging for washing the exterior and no drying! They also scratched my front windshield. When I turned the car on the windshield wipers went on so the window was dirty again with wet marks. Then I see the scratches on the windshield, the interior was untouched! No Vacuum No nothing! Worst of the worst! Do your car a favor and avoid this place!

Is this place going out of business? Interior is almost empty they don’t even have water for sale and there’s only about 3 guys working. I won’t be back.

Great service everytime I come. Multiple cars I’ve owned have been detailed here. No complaints from me. Please people don’t complain about time when there’s 50 other cars in line. Busy means previous customer are coming back for a reason lol

Worst day for a car wash ever. The chain that pulls the cars through broke the rinse and wax broke. The worst part no one looks like they have a clue on what’s going on. I arrived here at 9am it’s almost 11am. At this point just get the car done and let me find a new place to do business with.

This place does a great job with their car washes. They leave the interior and exterior of the car spotless, the only thing is make sure you have TIME to stay and wait a good hour or so.
It’ll be worth your wait for sure though. They should give it a little face lift as the place is looking run down but nonetheless, the washes are great. I give the washes 4 stars and the place itself 2.

This place sucks. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE! They vacuumed my mustang and did not put the passenger mat back in these are 100.00 floor mats! Go back the next morning and not one person speaks English or they pretend not to speak it. They say they must have tossed it! WTF? Asked for owner he apparently never comes in or blends in well. At the same time another unhappy customer had his car detailed they used a old buffer on it a scratched the whole car… Never again I hope this place closes down!

Took my car today, paid $ 90 because I wanted my carpet shampooed. Price includes carpet interior clean and grease (I’ll explain why grease and not degrease). And last but not least the exterior wash.
The carpet was an ok job. The reason why I say ok was that I specifically told them about a stain I wanted removed, the reason why I even took the car in the first place. Stain was still there when I picked it up 2.5 hours later. So for a shampoo I advice you to go somewhere else.
The interior (dash, doors, glass, plastics, leather) was not very good. From my understanding, and I’m no professional but interior should be degreased, cleaned, then protected. It looked like they just doused my interior with some type of petroleum based greaser. Everything was oily to the touch. I clean my car with a product that leaves a shine but is dry to the touch. I dislike having my dash extremely shiny because when you are driving with the sun towards you it is hard to see. My cluster was doused in that same oil residue and they did not take the time to wipe it off so all gauges were blurry. My leather was also doused in that oil based protectant which is a big no for leather. I use a leather cleaner that’s also dry to the touch and is not oil based.
Exterior was ok regular wash you would expect anywhere.
I ended up parking the car in my garage and degreasing all the interior to remove all the subpar product they used. Also had to redo all the windows as they were smeared with that oil on the interior.
I would go here for a regular exterior wash but do not get the $ 90 complete clean (shampoo/​interior/​exterior) not worth it. You could probably do a better job with a cheap drill brush attachment and some upholstery cleaner.

I should have Unilocaled before I came. I’m here 30 minutes and they haven’t started my car. Slow and understaffed. It’s Friday they should know better. I have a feeling it’s not going to be the best wash.

I was driving around like a crazy woman during my lunch break trying to find a place to wash my car yesterday. I drove around for 5 miles until I found this place on the corner of Santa Fe Springs Rd and Whittier Blvd.
I have not washed my car in in almost a year and it was way over due for a nice cleaning. I could no longer see through my windows because of a layer of dust on my windshield, and I had parked under the trees so often at work that the rear of my car was covered with the splatter of bird crap. So when I found this place, I was relieved that I could finally get my car cleaned without me getting down and dirty.
The workers were super nice and no one pressured me to get the super rainbow wax package for $ 20 or anything. I just chose the basic wash for $ 11.99. The wait was about 25 minutes and they did a thorough job at cleaning my car without leaving any water spots on the windows. I also got a stamp card where you can get a free car wash after accumulating 5 stamps. I will definitely come back here again.
