After shopping around a little my daughter began to throw a fit so I went back and placed everything where I got it from, as we are walking out of the store the guy at the register chases me out and accuses me of not paying for merchandize when I had nothing in my hands but my screaming child and no purse. I will not return to this store

They have a lage variety of things for a reasonable price! It’s quite a large store, neatly organized, and well lit.

asian lady is rude, not nice, unfriendly, etc… and she always stares at me whenever i go because she thinks im going to steal. yeah i get it, thats what theyre supposed to do; watch out for thieves, but cmon. it makes me uncomfortable and i find it insulting. either way usually the prices are good but i mean this place is just. meh.

Went here after breakfast. We went just to see what they had. I walk in and to the right of the store, there was a lot of jewelry on display. Right next to that they had make up on display. This store reminds me of the 99 cents store. They sell a wide variety of items from drinks, snacks to household items. There was nothing I was interested in except for the jewelry.
Aisles were clean and organized. Not too much in the store. Some items were not cheap. It seems more of a conscience store. It was just okay. Three stars for this place.

Be careful dealing with these folks…
This is a pretty standard in-​n-​out kind of shop. It’s not a place for «shopping» in the fun sense. It’s a fairly grungy little market that used to be a 99¢ Store. The prices are often – not always – inflated over what you’ll find at other comparable places. If you want a five pound bag of sugar, for instance, they want $ 5 for it, when you can get the same stuff for $ 4 at a supermarket or even just down the street. A gallon of milk is $ 4 instead of $ 3.50. Most things are 20−30% more pricey than they should be.
More importantly, though, you have to keep an eye on (certain members of) the staff when they ring you up. I pop into this place fairly regularly as it is just down the street from my house, and I’ve had several problems with them ringing up my items incorrectly, and the error is always, strangely, in the favor of the store… Last time, she rang up $ 10.79 for a $ 1.79 item, bringing the total to nearly twice what it should have been. I’ve also had trouble with them making change incorrectly by 50¢ or a dollar. You’ll get a receipt and it’s not a bad idea to check it.
Now, they use an actual cash register rather than one of those supermarket scanners, and everybody makes the occasional mistake, but the whole thing would would be less suspicious if they didn’t have the photos of people whom they claim have shoplifted pasted to the front window of the store like Old West wanted pictures from a cowboy movie, signs about stealing posted around the store, and counterfeit bills pasted above the till. Aside from setting a pretty obnoxious tone, I haven’t noticed that they have a great handle on their business in the first place, so worrying about shoplifting losses strikes me as a distraction.
In any case, there are other options in the Uptown area. There’s a Rite Aid on Comstock and Baker’s Market a block or two down the street on Philadelphia, and they have produce and a butcher’s shop. Uptown Liquor isn’t too far down Greenleaf, so there are other options for many items. I’ll still pop into Green Dollar for sundries, but it’s not a bad idea to keep an eye out for other places in the area.

Best place to buy fake eye lashes for a makeup artists!!!
They have tons of different style lashes for only $ 1.59. It is the cheapest place I found so I travel far just to stock up on my lashes. Everyone who works there are also very friendly.

I usually only come in here to buy an iced tea while I shop around in uptown. This place is really ghetto. They are trying to sell the weirdest cheap crap in here. Yeah, they sell Red Cherry lashes real cheap, but they only have the super drag queen lashes. They don’t sell any other name brand makeup.
This is one of those stores that you just look around in and say «What the hell, how are they still in business.?»
And the Asian lady is really rude/​cold/​unfriendly/​probably a robot.

Went there today with my friend because they carry RED CHERRY lashes for $ 1.59 and that’s a pretty fair price… (We’re makeup artists so we stock up on them.) They carry some pretty good nicknacks also. So me and my friend were just browsing though the store checking things out, seeing what we can pick out for our makeup kits like makeup remover pads/​Tylenol packets/​disposable razors/​anything you might expect unexpectedly on set of a photoshoot. When we got to the register, I noticed some photos of people who may have shoplifted on a beam in between the cash registers… I told my friend, «how embarrassing to have your picture up cause you shoplifted…» As the older Asian female clerk finished checking out my friend’s items, my friend handed her, her ATM/​debit card ‘with her picture’ on it… Granted my friend looks a little different since she lost weight and changed her haircolor. They lady asked for her ID and took forever analyzing it. My friend said «um, is something wrong? That’s me, what more do you want?» The lady rudely said «Sign here!» and then after my friend signed it we were kinda looking at each other trying to figure out what this lady was tripping on… Then the lady threw the pen on the counter annoyed for some reason or another and as we were walking out she muttered «that is illegal!.» (She thought my friend was using someone else’s credit card.) We were FUMING when we left!!! How rude was that??? Don’t start accusing people and causing a scene lady! So very unprofessional. I’m never going there again (i dont care if you have cheap lashes) and I advise everyone else to do the same unless you want to be accused of criminal activity. Shame on them.
