KidSmiles Pediatric Dentistry

I love this place! The dentist is great, its clean, the way they treat the kiddos and parents are wonderful makes us feel very comfortable. My kids love coming here. Great and highly recommended.

Do NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE!!! WARNING!!! I took my 3yr old boy there with a referral from my Dentist for pediatrics. First, the insurance Lady was trying to charge me for procedures the insurance did cover! to bad for her I verified my co payment of $ 35 she said it was $ 150. That it did not cover white tooth only silver and does not cover sedation. In front of her I called insurance and she was stuttering making up codes. Then she said yes you are right! I only paid my $ 35 !! VERIFY PEOPLE! …Ok! So the real BAD PART! They gave my son a drink to make him «loopy». They did NOT let me be in the room. I asked to check on him. And they took forever to come get me. But only thru a window. And escorted me back out! Then after 2long hours he comes out drenched in sweat, crying, gasping for air! Saying «THEY HURT ME» mommy !! ANNND with a huge BRUISE on his forehead! When I asked what happen they said he was moving too much so where the strap was the assistant was putting pressure so he wouldn’t move! WHAATT?! That’s TORTURE AND ABUSE! Why not come to me and say he’s moving would you like us to continue?! 2 HRS!!! And then she said that’s why I wanted to put him under! Are you kidding me?! He would have come out with no teeth, so much unnecessary work they did just to charge insurance! Thank god my prior dentist had his X-​ray done. DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS THERE! I COULDN’T STOP CRYING TO SEE MY SON PAINFUL FACE WITH HIS BRUISE and all that Metal in his back teeth that wasn’t necessary. It’s a HUGE «ZERO» ON stars but won’t post if I don’t press at least one! BE CAREFUL PARENTS THE THEME IS JUST A DISGUISE!!!

This review is based on my visit last year.
The bad: Had to wait an hour before being seen by the doctor. Later, the two ladies at reception totally ignored me and another lady for over 5 minutes while we stood waiting to schedule our next appointment. One of them was working the phones and the other was doing some paperwork but both refused to acknowledge we were there. We both just walked out and I haven’t been back since.
The good: The doctor and supporting staff are enthusiastic and great with kids. The waiting area has video games for the kids.
Reception is where first and last impressions are made, I hope they fix that problem area for their sake.

Another wonderful checkup and cleaning for my daughter today. I love the staff and Doctor, always courteous and informative. My baby girl is 19 months old now, she was doing really good during her visit today. I am so proud of her that she has no cavities. Thank you to the staff and dentist at kidsmiles dentistry for all the care you provide to us.

Wow… Changed employees again… I am so upset with this location. I had my contract revised back in October and now they are telling me that since the person that revised my contract is no longer there they cannot honor it. How is that my problem if I kept my end of the bargain and they have too up until this month. I signed a new contract and since the previous lady didn’t enter it in my daughters files but did note it in the notes it’s not valid. How does that make sense??? They know I’m not lying obviously if the notes were read back to me and everything I told them was exactly what was in the notes.

Great dentists and staff!!! Super conscious of childrens’ worries and they accommodate their approach according to your child. Our third visit, and each time has been better than the previous!

Once again I recieved a notice saying I was going to go into collections and I owe this dentist $ 50 dollars. Last month I even went in person after have going in person twice before plus several phone calls and 3 voice mails which never got returned. Person on the line said they have never heard of this problem. I informed her I have a printed email which also has a hand written note. I had to go in person to get the email because they did not have it correct. Once again over the phone I was promised they would call accounting and get the problem resloved. I hope this problem really gets resolved this time. They didn’t correctly bill my insurance company. So instead of re submitting they are sending me the bill. The dentist is great and it sucks that they can’t figure out how to fix their accounting system. I have been dealing with this since August and I am sick of it. This has been a very frustrating experience.

We are in October, that mean 6 month check up for my girls. And the staff isnt the same as last time. Front desk lady doesnt seem to care about whos walking in, im not even share if she speaks English. The other lady off to the side as i was leaving who made the next app. She was funny and we had a good conversation. The nurses such as Lulu, Lordes, and Ever were great with my grls. The doctor was really nice, her and i joked around, sorry i forgot her name. But over all another good experience for my daughters and No Cavities! Is even more exciting. See you guys in April…

This is the only pediatric dentist I will ever take my children to. Dr. Ramirez actually teaches others how to become excellent pediatric dentists! At every visit, the staff makes sure that patients are relaxed and well taken care of, which makes us parents feel relaxed as well!

**Pros** For the pros it is rated 5 stars for this lovely, caring, compassionate, and understanding human! Her name is Lourdes she is the most sweetest person you can ever meet. Since i first started taking my girls here they love going! GOD bless her for being so sweet, not many have the patience to deal with kids and she sure wins the award!
My girls love her and they always wan’t to go even if we are passing by they say i wan’t to go with Lulu!
**Cons** Rated «0» The down side of this office is the customer service that would definitely have 0 stars if it was not because of Lourdes i would not go back and look else where. Since they changed the the employees it sure is not the same. Monica is a rude lady with no manners who throws stuff on the counter instead of giving it to you in your hand. And tells you to just sign when she does not even explain what the document is. Lastly so unprofessional of her and the office manager to be discussing what had occurred when your literally are right their. Overall customer service «0»

I used to really enjoy bringing my children here but over the past few months the repeated experiences I’ve had with the front desk have been more than a little unprofessional.
In May 2015 my son was fitted for braces through the Ortho department, between May and October my son has been seen two times because they’ve canceled and rescheduled appointments twice without notifying me. The final straw was in September when then the Ortho tech broke off a bracket on my son’s front tooth and would not replace it. The Ortho treatment manager then argued with me in front of other patients over how I would responsible for the cost of the broken bracket.
After taking my son to another Orthopedic and deciding to continue treatment with them it has taken KidSmiles until the second week of October to even start to get my son’s files ready for transfer.

I’ve been calling for 3 days to schedule an appointment and all I get is an answering machine. They don’t even have the decency to call back.

Front desk people are not so nice and can’t seem to handle the front. When I called was placed on hold for long. I didn’t think nothing of it, but as I’m sitting in the waiting room I seen how they work. The office manager Patty has no people skills what so ever! Gossiping of preferring to release a patient instead of doing her job and fixing the problem. Never seen a smile come out of her. This dental office was better when I first came here and different front staff. I’m really considering of taking my children to a different office now.

So disappointed, this place use to be so great staff awesome management Zaira and Espy. But after they left this place became a zoo. No one answers the phone or if they do they put you on hold for ever. You come in for an emergency appointment and they turn you away, come back tomorrow if you’re lucky if not next available. And my all time favorite billing has no idea what type of insurance you have. They are always trying to bill even with double coverage cuz they don’t have your insurance info even though I’ve had it for almost a year, and have given them the information numerous times. Wow enough said. Definitely would not recommend this place to no one!

Three stars because the office is cool and the staff is nice. However it’s 11:30 and I’m still waiting for my 10:30 appointment for a two year old who is scared to be here. Since they are «kid friendly» they should understand that is just too long for a little kid who is afraid to sit in the place that’s scaring her. Really disappointed.

Great environment and dentists, but they can’t seem to keep my appointments. I took my 3 sons and they loved it which was great news!!! They all needed extra work so I went ahead and schedules the appointments and made arrangements to take the time off work since the services they needed are only done during the week. To my surprise they called me to cancel not once, but 3 times. I am so sad because I truly loved the way my boys were treated, but for my job I just can’t ask for s day off and then say of yeah never mind the day before I was scheduled off.

Great dentists, horrible wait time.
I’ve taken my daughter there three times already, each time the dentist was great with her. She really was great with kids. But… Each time we went, we had to wait 40 – 45 minutes.
Went back again today, I had scheduled some kids activities afterwards and was hoping to get it done quick since it was only going to be a cleaning and check up. Shame on me for thinking it’d be better this time. We showed up 5min early for the appointment and started waiting… and waiting… and waiting… There was no apologies from the staff, no further explanations, as if I’m being silly for expecting the appointment to start on time. I asked a few times when the dentist will be ready, was told they were running behind and asked if I want to reschedule. I had to reschedule because we would run out of time for her next activity. I rescheduled.
I understand the dentists want to pack their schedule to maximize their income, but they should know that patients’ and parents’ time is valuable too. How about setting up appointment times that the dentists can actually honor?

I love this place! My 6 year old came out saying she wants to come back tomorrow, lol… she had a very good experience with her first cavity. Wish I could have came here with my 2 teenage kids when they were little. Everything inside is so comforting n vibrant. The people that work there are so nice and informative. I’m definitely coming back with my children.

I called yesterday ⁰⁴⁄₀₁ to rescd and appointment was put on hold for about 10min hung up called right back and it went straight to Vm! (it was 5 when I called go figure closed already huh)
I left a Vm if I could get a c/​b. Today ⁰⁴⁄₀₂ called @ 8:15a.m went straight to VM AGAIN left another vm never got a call back so I call back @ 10a. m «Helen» picked up she asked if she can out me on hold for a «quick second» I was on for about 10min and hung up!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! They are fairly new located in the Whittwood mall right by Flame Broiler. My daughter is 4 years old so it was time to find her a dentist. She is very scared of new things and especially doctor’s. I knew I had to find a place that was kid friendly. Searching my handy dandy Unilocal app I came across this place. I knew it was there but didn’t know what it was like. 5 stars across the board on all their reviews and the cutest décor, I was sold!
I called to make my appointment and the girl was soo nice and helpful. I was already happy. My appointment wasn’t for like 2 weeks out and I tried to reschedule a couple days before to a later time but they were booked. I see that as they have a lot of customers because people like it here. I just hope if I ever need to get in here for an emergency I can.
We were right on time to my daughters appointment and we sat down for about five minutes. Right when you walk in every wall is painted safari, they have tv’s around the room with cartoons playing, they have a couple areas where you can play videos games on I believe a PlayStation. Once we got called back the lady I believe was named Kelly the nurse was helping us. In the back is more safari walls, animal heads coming out of the ceiling, and tv’s. She had so much energy and made my daughter feel so comfortable. She explained every step she was going to do and made it all fun for her. The doctor came next and explained everything thoroughly to me and my princess.
We were in and out so fast. I left super happy with her first dental experience and most importantly so did my daughter! Just posting these pictures of the inside so many people have already asked about where this is.
