This is THE ONLY Place to go To have your Radiator Needs Answered then FIXED. Mine was my AC. Louie and The Men are FABULOUS!!! For over eight years, I have taken my many vehicles to Louie’s shop.
I bought a 1972 Chevelle, that was a lemon, and the motor blew. Louie put a brand new one in for 1500, when every other shop wanted 2500 or more. I was working on it once, and I forgot to install the passing gear, and blew the transmission. Louie put a brand new 350 turbo trans in it, for 1800 most shops wanted well over 2 grand.
I took my 1993 dodge dynasty to him. The ac was outdated, bad water pump, radiator was bad, and he replaced all of that for well under what any other shop would do.
I took my 1993 S-​10 to him for many things, and he’s done great jobs to it as well. I’ve taken my 2007 Honda Fit to him, and he’s fixed the brakes, ac and even rotated my tires as a courtesy as he noticed they were badly in need of it.
The list goes on and on. Louie has come through or me time and time again. There have been times when I could only pay half for the service, and in good faith, he let me pay the following month, and NEVER hounded me for the remainder payment.
Pete (the man that runs the shop and does the work when Louie is not there) yeah he can be rude at times, but no one is perfect. Pete has many health issues of his own, and yeah he can be a lot better with his attitude, but most times, he’s swamped with answering calls running the shop, and working on vehicles all at the same time. Have you ever worked on a car, and something not go right? Let me know how happy you are when you have to get up from under it while having to run and answer a phone call.
Louie for over 42 years has been a mechanic, and has started from the very bottom. He is a very honest man, and has helped COUNTLESS people with their car problems. Does he make money? Yeah, but he doesn’t rip you off, and he’s honest and up front with you. If you have a serious issue with anything, give him a call on his personal phone, and I’m sure he’ll work something out with you.
I’m sorry Adrian A. had issues with the shop, but that’s life and no one is perfect, but Louie himself comes pretty close.

I’ve brought in a few different vehicles to this radiator shop for radiator issues. They always take care of it in good time too. All are still running like a champ. This place is near me in whittier, it’s good to have a local shop that specializes in radiators close by. Thanks Louie.

Wow. After reading the reviews I thought this would be a great place to come. I called them up to get a ball park price and the guy on the other end, his name was Pete, was as rude as can be. He wouldn’t let me explain or finish a sentence. He talked down to me as if I didn’t know.
I have a car that needs a replaced radiator. I can see the crack at the top of it. The first question he asked me was, «Are you going to repair or are we?» Umm, guess why I am calling you guys. Seriously? Thanks but no thanks. No service here.
Note to Louie, have someone more professional answer your phones.

Took in my vintage car, 30 years old, and Louie & Pete found a preexisting problem, fixed it and got my old compressor running A/​C. They did this at a very reasonable price and expediently. They also replaced a fan belt & smog pump and took the time to find me good prices on parts because my car is rare.

Louie’s Total Radiator shop is great! Fixed my overheating car and A/​C. Did not over price me and even redid a few things for me without any hassle. I’ll be taking my daughters car in for the AC soon!

If tact is the ability to describe others as they see themselves, then Louie has it in spades… A cool calm operator dealing in a frosty freeze that makes California summers right.
My M3 started failing to provide an arctic grade chill in the cockpit, so off to Louie’s I went. The shop has been around since the 50’s, so you know they might have a grip on the whole A/​C business. It seems that Louie became the new proprietor in 2000, but I digress.
Without appointment, I came by on a warm Saturday and Louie was able to get me in and out swiftly. Its always a god barometer when you see the owner /​operator helping clients with kindness and ease. There were two girls with a Hooptie in serious need of TLC. Louie went out of his way to help fix a bunch of items outside of his Radiator /​AC biz. Long story short, he was really cool in going the extra mile for them…
Out in 30 minutes, my wheels are maxing and my interior is chillier than chill. Highly recommend this shop for keeping me fresh!

After getting to work on Tuesday, found out that i needed to have my radiator repaired… not something I was looking forward to but need my car for work… so I remembered that my Dad always used to take his cars to this shop…
I called to see if they were busy and was told to take my car in when I could get there… had a co-​worker follow me and left it there… was called 2 hours later with what i had feared… New Radiator and Hoses needed… I got my car back on Thursday morning… This is a great shop and not over priced…
