Great dance class for church groups and families. This club is super family/​kid friendly both at their dances and club classes. Once there, you can get your recommended dose of hugs right here.
Note: unlike the divas and divos snubbing new dancers in the OC ballroom dance scene, new dancers welcomed and encouraged here. You’ll get plenty of support to learn and have fun. If you’re not having fun dancing, what’s the point, right?
The MAJOR KEYS square dance club is a social/​dance club of a fun group of friendly people in La Habra/​Whittier, CA.
In conjunction with Whittier Parks & Recreation, this year they’re hosting a BEGINNERS Square Dance class starting tomorrow night, Sept 17th.
Square Dancing is phenomenal exercise and you don’t even quite realize it because you’ve having so much fun dancing with the other dancers.
Great dance club. If you’re an experienced Square Dancer, they host a monthly square dance on the 4th SAT night and are known for providing a really great spread of snackies. Plenty of free parking.
Note about Dress: Even though the website shows a lot of the fun and sometimes zany Square Dance costumes, they are very 21st c. Casual dress welcome. Jeans, skirts, shorts, short sleeves shirts, all A-​OK.
