HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICES. They put you on hold for long periods of time and never come back to the line. I called back and they put me on hold again… It is obvious that the office staff has NOT been properly trained. Customer service is needed ASAP. I called to set up an appointment but was not able to. I called my medical group and they immediately switched me to another MD. I am so glad because if this is what happens when I want to set up an appointment; I do not want to imagine how it would be if I really needed their assistance.

I don’t understand the negative reviews. I love going to this practice. I have waited maybe 20 minutes the longest, but will agree they are pretty busy. Both times I have been seen by one of the actual doctors, and both doctors were kind and seemed caring. Also, the staff there is really friendly and always smiling and friendly. So far, everything is going well.

The Melniks are amazing father and son team. From beginning to end of your pregnancy they are the best.

The actual Dr. Melnik is great, but you will never see him. They always only have the Nurse Practitioner available. I’ve never been seen by the doctor only spoke to him once and it’s over the phone. Staff is not friendly and children are not allowed because of pregnant woman. I personally don’t care about any other pregnant girl who is not me. You can get sick anywhere! This is a stupid rule. They need to change immediately. This makes me now dislike pregnant women always trying to get away with something because there’s a baby in their stomach

First of all, I have to say that I’m a very easy going and patient patient and am not one who changes doctors all the time.
I had a different OB with my first preganancy. Labor started a week early and unfortunately my doc was out of town. Wheni got to the hospital they told me that Dr. Melnik was on call and would deliver my baby. I was scared but there was nothing I could do. Luckily Dr. Melnik was wonderful. He handled my very nomal and uneventful delivery, and when I developed complications afterward, he took care of that, too. Even with the good experience, I stayed with my original OB for my second pregnancy. That is until after he left me naked, legs open, feet in stirrups, to take a phone call during one of my check-​ups. I guess you could say it was the straw that broke my back :) After that uncormfortable experience, I looked up Dr. Melnik and made the switch.
Dr. Melnik’s office is a lot busier than my previous OB’s visit. My first appointment was with a R.N. not even with the doctor and it took almost 2 hours of waiting before I got to see the R.N. While you are waiting, you’re being called in to do other things like weight or blood pressure measurements and when they’re done, they send you back out to the waiting room. You risk losing your chair because there are so many patients. The business also means it’s hard to make an appointment at a time that suits my schedule even if you try to schedule 2 or 3 weeks in advance. So far, with the two appointments I’ve made, neither were at a time I requested. I had to take whatever slots were open.
Another thing I did not like is that the office does not collect blood samples on site for various test you need during pregnancy. Sending a pregnant lady out to a lab to wait yet again (I had to drive to a nearby lab and wait another hour there), and possibly being surrounded by sick people, is unsatisfactory. This defeats the purpose of the Melnik & Soloway office policy which does not allow children because they want to keep the pregnant ladies from catching something. Go figure.
Doctors forget that patients spend more time waiting to see them then actually in front of them so the rest of the office experience should be just as good as when we are in front of the doctors. Dr. Melnik is a terrific doctor but I’m having second thoughts of changing my OB now that I’ve experienced his office.
I have another appointment in 2 weeks, and I have to actually see Dr. Melnik this time. Let’s see how long I have to wait at that appointment and how things go. Who knows, I might be in search of another OB pretty soon even though Dr. Melnik is just great.

Well I have only gone to one appointment & agree that the women taking the phone calls are not the friendliest. I had some tests ran & Dr Marc Melnik calls me with test results and that i needed to contact the office right away. I return the phone call in less then 15 minutes and i’m informed he’s no longer available for phone calls until tomorrow. So now I have to sit all day and all night not knowing whether my baby is ok, if my pregnancy is in danger, or if my own life is in danger. Good luck to me getting any sleep tonight. SO upsetting!

I love both dr. melniks! I had my daughter with them almost 7 years ago and even though I am no longer in the area, I make the drive to their office so they can deliver my second. I don’t think I would feel comfortable with anyone else. And as far as all the bad reviews on the staff I’m not sure if they have gotten new ones or not but they are all very friendly. They let me know as soon as I get there if the doctors are in delivery and won’t be on time and try to accommodate based on how long it might be. Being a doctor that delivers babies of course their schedule isn’t always going to be on time. That is not the staffs fault. It also says in the office that children are not allowed due to keeping all their pregnant patients healthy. Once again don’t get mad at the staff for something that is not their fault.

Both father and son, Dr. Melnik, are welcoming and thorough. However, if you want a typical c section delivery continue to see them. I didn’t, I was adamant about wanting a natural birth and they seemed to listen in one ear and out the other. At my 39 week appt, I felt pressured to schedule an induction without any medical reasoning for it (technically, I still have at least two more weeks, no worries on my end).
Needless to say, they didn’t see me till I was 9.5cm dilated laid across the L&D bed. With my doula and husband by my side, I labored at home till I was good and ready.
Staff is another story, they aren’t friendly, rude, and not informative to clients. I felt like I was at a meat market waiting for my number to be called.
Next pregnancy, I’m looking elsewhere.

They’re very nice doctors but its very hard to see past the fact that its between a 1 and 2 HOUR wait every time I come for my appointment. One time? Ok maybe there was an emergency. Two times? Annoying but understandable. But every time? Lets just say I’ve had plenty of time to research new OBs while in the waiting room.

Dr. Seymour and Dr. Marc Melnik are the best doctors I could ask for, when it comes to kindness, comfort and sincerity– they are heaven sent. Dr. Seymour Melnik saw me most of my pregnancy with my now 3 yr old daughter, he is very experienced and caring and gives you a warm vibe when you see/​talk to him. Dr. Marc actually delivered my daughter and he was so calming, reassuring, and always made sure I was ok. I’m glad I can count on them to deliver my son in a month as well. The office visits are always extremely quick, in and out in 20 min on average. The only thing i would change is the attitude of the ladies taking the phone calls, always seems like they woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Will be mentioning that to the drs the next time i go in.
