Roberts Real Estate and Property Management

Management doesn’t speak with other and often gives out conflicting information. They are rude and do not respond professionally. Raised rent by 25% and not new amenities or improvements in the community. Unfortunately am stuck because who has $ 5,000 laying around in order to move a mobile home. If I had the chance to do it all over again definitiely would not have chosen one of their communities.

We rented from Roberts for years with great payment history and housing history. The last house we rented was going into foreclosure so we had to move, we cleaned for a week straight to get the deposit back. We got the FULL deposit back from Roberts. Months later we go to rent another house and come to find out Roberts completely trashed our name!!! They said we «vandalized» the last house we lived in!!! Yet we got our FULL deposit back. Roberts would not fix this mistake and ruined our renting history. Never rent from these crooks! I wish there was a 0 star rating.

Having owned properties around multiple states and having worked with many property management companies, I give John Roberts and his staff FIVE STARS for their professionalism and great follow through. IT is very difficult to find a good property manager. In the decades I’ve owned investment property, this company is the only one I’ve been happy with. My tenants have stayed for many years, a blessing for any owner. I sleep well at night knowing Roberts Property Management’s staff are taking great care of me. Unfortunately they received poor reviews from some tenants but my experience is in stark contrast to those reviews. My perspective is from an owner’s. I’ll say that after the La Habra earthquake where there was damage to a window and the fireplace façade had to be rebuilt, they were on top of things and repairs were done immediately. They were very proactive. I’m on my second tenant and I’ve never had a complaint from any of them. Thank you Roberts PM !! Thank you, thank you!

I have been utilizing the services of Roberts Real Estate & Property Management for about 9 years now, and have been very happy and satisfied with their service. All members of their staff are very friendly and helpful. They are quick to address any issues and concerns that I and or my tenant may have and are always available. Not only do they care about the property owners, but they care about the tenants as well. Whenever there is an issue with my property they are quick to get it resolved. I can always count on them. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Just dealt with this company and had a bad experience. They were very rude to me and my realtor. We paid $ 42 per person (my husband and I) to get the credit report and waited over a week just to find out our application was denied. In every interaction I had they were rude, spoke over me, and showed no value of customer service. I am glad we did not get the place after all because I wouldn’t want to deal with them further.

My family and I have used Roberts real estate services twice and both times the service was nothing short of impeccable. Robert first helped us a few months back when my grandma passed and we needed to sell her house. He was constantly in touch and keeping us up to date. What really sold us was how professional and transparent he was with us. He was offering us the best deal and we had solicited about 3 other realtors to find the best deal we could get from this and it was with Robert. Sadly our great aunt has passed shortly after (1 month ago) but luckily we are using Roberts services again. Robert is never hard to get a hold of and he has a quick turn around time! I would def recommend him to anyone looking for someone trust worthy and accountable– Roberts your guy!

I have used Roberts Real Estate and Property Management for the purchase and sale of two homes. The staff was always courteous and helpful during both transactions. I was mostly Impressed by their ability in explaining the real estate process with the sale of my first home. I hope this review helps !! I will use their services in the future.

I wish I could give them a zero star! Horrible experience! Before I moved into the apartment they promised a long list of things that would get fixed and NOTHING ever got fixed! An initial bad sign I should have taken more notice of was when the agent told me to document every communication I ever have with them. After a year, during the checkout process the agent came in with blue paint masking tape and started marking everything under the Sun she could find such as paint chipping… yes, paint chipping and taking pictures! Keep in mind that all the appliances in the apartment are from the early 90’s (from manufacture dates) which means no renovation has occurred since then. I informed her I will be taking them to court if they try to hold my deposit for nonsense like that! My advice to anyone thinking of renting any of their properties is DON’T DO IT! If you absolutely have to then document every single thing and I mean everything with pictures during move-​in. And also don’t buy their bias about people giving them bad reviews because they were evicted, not true! THEY ARE REALLY THAT BAD!

Excellent people to deal with. Our family has been dealing with Roberts for over 6 years now and in that time we have found them to be very professional and knowledgeable. They have been there to answer our questions and to guide us whenever we call. The staff has always been polite and friendly. I wanted to compliment them and was shocked at the negative comments here which certainly contradict our experience. We highly recommend doing business John Roberts, Adam, and the rest of the staff.

Yes, Marlene is a bitch… she’s rude and unfriendly! Thank Goodness I didn’t rent the 6556 Pickering rental in Whittier… after reading one of these reviews about the place I’m definitely not going for that place or even considering renting through this management company.

I rented from Robert’s for almost 5 years 2 different houses and had nothing bad to say about them until now. I am trying to rent a house and they gave me such a bad referral, said we trashed the place but wait ROBERT’S you gave me my whole deposit back… Sue Roberts is impossible to get a hold of and like the other person said Marlene in front office not a very nice person!!! I have recommend them to several friends and also had my friend call them to handle her rental for her… I’m still blown away can’t believe this company is screwing with my future living arrangement… This sucks!

One word THIEVES!
Do not do business with these people. They take your money and string you as long as possible. Then when you personally confront them: «Legally, we don’t have to give you an answer».

The worst «Management» company I have ever encountered! My calls, emails, letters etc were never answered! They would never come out to inspect nor fix anything!!! I felt like they stole from me!!! If I could rate them a zero I would have! I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy to them!!! Awful! Awful! Awful!

Very unprofessional people… the place I live in 6556 pickering is horrible.. They dont want fix anything at all there all about money… My main water pipe keeps busting so there’s no good pressure in this house there’s no easy all the windows are broken we’ve been telling them to fix it and they still haven’t fixed it this is a horrible company to ever rent from I’m so unsatisfied with this company I hope all this negative post that everybody’s posting don’t go out of business… Never ever rent from these people be where they’re scammers all they want is there money and half of the property is run down and the neighborhood were in is horrible and the secretary Marlene she’s a bitch… Anna is a bitch too she has nothing but a huge attitude they are never going to fix any of their properties and their properties are way too much for them not to fix anything

I started looking for an apartment a month and a half ago. Found a place through Roberts. Put in an app for it. It cost me 100 $. Three and a half weeks later I am denied? There is no telling why they decided to deny me. You can never get a straight answer out of anyone there. Tried to call several times throughout the almost month we were in «review». When i did get a hold of someone they would tell me «should be today» or «I will call you later this afternoon» and would never receive a call from them. I liked this one «we’ll have a definitive answer tomorrow». I now have a week to leave my place of residence. Thanks Roberts! Oh and the best part is that i called a couple of time like i was someone else and asking about the property. They said «no one has put an app in for it yet»… I wanted to say really? what about mine? They go on to say «its yours for the taking» and «when would you like to see the residence» thinking i didn’t know… a bunch of liars! If i could put zero stars i would. but then it just says unrated

Roberts Property Management has been managing my rental house in La Mirada for several years. (They took it over from another property manager who had let the property run down, charged me for repairs, and then left the state with my money.) I have been extremely happy with their professionalism and efficiency. The current staff and the people they hire to do the work needed on the property to prepare it for renting have been courteous and helpful. In addition, they have continued to update and improve their services over the years… most recently, I have been especially impressed by the monthly and year-​end accounting that I am provided… my tax man actually told me to send them his compliments for a job well done! Lastly, I appreciate that I am updated as needed but without unnecessary contacts… they take care of my property so that I don’t have to worry about it. I highly recommend their services.

hard to communicate with anyone at this business. when you are a client of theirs they choose to not call back promptly. and moving out thats a different story! just trying to get in touch to answer questions is nearly impossible.
