SO disappointed. We came-​6 of us to have a great time. But when we were going to park. This guy was standing in front is the parking spot we saw. He said he was saving it for the DJ. We told him it’s public parking, please move. The DJ can unload on the side of the building. He said he was not moving. So, instead of calling the police, we decided to go to Seta. We don’t think we will be coming back. Things like this is so disappointing, and we would come here with groups of friends always.

Horrible !! Was there last night for a bday ! First the host didn’t want to give us the bottle that was previously paid for ?
Ridiculous I know !
Then the DJ sucked !! Literally played an 80s song, then a too short song, then Demi lovato?! Lmao! How the heck can u not know how to blend music and make it work ??

Came here yesterday on a Saturday night around 8 pm to watch the Canelo fight. As soon as I walked in there was a $ 10 cover charge. A little pricy, I didn’t have cash on me so I had to use the atm which charges a $ 3 fee. On the right side was the restaurant, which looked nice and family friendly. On the left side is where they had large round tables with black table cloths, folding chairs and a huge screen set up to watch the fight. After 2 rounds of beer our server brought us out shooter for the 6 of us. Not sure what is was, taste like squirt. Beer were pretty cheap, I think our tab was $ 40. After the fight they quickly started putting everything away, hit the lights and the music came on. Turned into a club real quick.
I did check in on Unilocal while I was there and received a 1 free beer, we’ll drink or wine voucher. I mentioned it to one of my friends so he checked in on Unilocal as well. They honored his and pored him a draft beer of his choice. I tried to use mine and they wouldn’t honor it. Gave me a hard time about it. He ended up opening me a budget light bottle and was like here. Umm no thanks! Rude!

Worse place ever… First time there and could not be more disappointed. My friend had bottle service reservations for 10 people … We got there and there is only seats for 5 people. We talked to the manager and they pretty much said «if u don’t like it u can cancel and get your $ back» no attempt what so ever to try to make it right or apologizing … No customer service what so ever. To top it ordered a bottle of «ciroc» and «greygoose» and what we got was cheap vodka that gave me a head ache. BEWARE and make sure you get the alcohol you pay for. I think they filled the bottles with cheap vodka. The only reason I don’t give it a NEGATIVE star is because the DJ was actually ok. DONT WASTE your MONEY here… There are way better places that will cater to customers!!! Oh and the crowd sucked!!!

The hostess Southern was very friendly. That’s about all the good things I can say about this place. The water had a weird aftertaste. We ordered the nachos and the kobe burger. The nacho chips were stale and the steak that was in the nachos tasted like it had expired. The kobe burger could have used a pinch salt the fries were good tho. The ambiance was overall very nice beside some areas that had been plastered but I’m sure the club is very nice! So in other words when you are drunk and partying at midnight I am sure the food will taste amazing!

10 $ cover charge. Well that sucks. Pretty pricey. Not happy about that. Not worth it. They had a mediocre rap wanna be singer and he killed the whole night with his original and then his remix. Only went in there because someone in our group wanted to I warned them about the Unilocal reviews and it was like everyone said… Not really that great for the expensive cover charge! Oh and 10 $ for a drink …

I went there for super bowl. There was hardly anyone there. No food or drink specials and no fun going on. I wondered why I didn’t see anyone eating. I ordered the nachos and maybe that was an example of the food. I paid $ 12 for a tiny plate of nachos that seemed like all of the ingredients were from a can nothing fresh. My kids make better nachos. Such a disappointment :) good thing I didn’t order anything else and waste my money.

The Unilocal reviews does justify the reviews, the service the was excellent, nice and friendly, the food was decent, I had the Mahi and tacos, chicken and season French fries, I must say try the signature drinks … I had the PRETTY IN PINK!!! It was fabulous !!! If you have a spicy palette !!!

Came to Sage Restaurant and Lounge for a pre-​Valentines day with my wife and ordered the salmon, wings and chips with spinach, ceviche, and salsa dip. Unfortunately, to our surprise it was a let down, we were really optimistic. We went the safe route by ordering familiar dishes, but were disappointed. The place is nice, we happened to be arriving on a comedy night, which people filled the place by 8pm. The ambience was pleasant, but the food was not. Other than the salads, I wouldn’t recommend it. They do have a selection of drinks, so if you would like the club environment and drinks, this is the place for you.

Two stars. I really wanted to like this place. I’ve driven past it dozens of times, and it looks inviting from the outside. I was fooled. Inside, it looks like a tired, worn out disco. There were big green squares of light in the bar area, and music that was NOT to my liking! When I inquired what type of music it was, I was told «deep house». Okay, well, if you love deep house music, you would probably be happy here. To me, it sounded like repetitious, old disco music. No variety. None.
The bar area had 3 male customers, spaced apart, drinking beers and watching sports on the tvs. We chose to sit on the «restaurant» side, as opposed to the bar side. One plus: they had the tvs all tuned to different channels, so I wasn’t forced to watch the choice of the bartender.
Another Unilocaler had written «sticky tables», and was right! The tables are painted, and they don’t feel clean. A little coating of clear acrylic, or squares of cut acrylic, would get rid of this problem. The booth was big and black, okay by me. We were the only couple in the restaurant area when we went in.
I decided on filet mignon, and the menu said $ 5 extra for scallops, which seemed like a great bargain to me. Our waiter was nice enough. He tried, but he forgot to add the scallops. I actually forgot I had ordered them until about halfway through my meal. I had been focused on my date’s rib eye steak. He said it was rubbery, and half of it was cooked medium well, and the other half was medium rare. I told him to send it back and get the filet. But, he didn’t. He ate it. Mine was actually tender, tasty, and cooked just the way I ordered it.
Neither one of us cared for the way too garlicky mashed potatoes. Nor, the tasteless rolls served with «Land O’Lakes buttery flavored spread». A little honey butter, or herb butter, would have livened those rolls up a lot! No more expensive than what they served us, either.
On the plus side: my tomato bisque (soup) was delish! The dinners come with choice of soup or salad, and for me, the soup was the better choice. My date had the salad, which was mostly field greens. He thought a few walnuts or sunflower seeds would have improved the salad dramatically.
The prices are really not bad, and we had an Amazon Local certificate, $ 60 worth of food and drink for $ 30. I had a cocktail that was heavenly: I think it was called Hypnosis, and it was blue! I love blue drinks, I don’t know why.
At the end of our meal, we inquired about desserts. The waiter had to go back and ask the chef if he had made any for that day. He returned to our table, and sadly told us that there was a cheesecake being made, but it wouldn’t be ready for a couple more hours. So, riddle me this: if the restaurant closed at 9 pm, and it was already after 7 pm, why make a cheesecake? Unless it’s meant for the next day.
I’d probably go back, but I’m not sure I could get my guy back in the there. I think Sage tries, but doesn’t quite hit the mark.

I really wish this place was a more dope spot considering the rest of Uptown Whittier closes early at 12am or so. Instead Sage Lounge decides to abuse their liqour license privileges by charging a ridiculous $ 10 cover to enter their dead venue. There was like ten people inside. This happened the first time me and my girlfriends went about 4months ago.
Last night we decided to go again and again paid $ 10 to get in although this time, one dance floor was packed (the other was closed). I got the full ambience experience. The crowd here is older (30-​sometimes mostly), bigger (girls are not total whales but picture baby cows in tight skimpy outfits and heels) and pervy-​er (like some creepy dudes on the prowl that prolly have a GF or baby mama at home or a dead hooker in the truck of their car).
On the other hand, the ratio of girls to guys is 4 to 1, the DJ was playing a decent mix of new top songs with some 90s/​00s throwbacks (he lost me when he played some Ramon Ayala –gtfo with that!) and wait time for drinks was less than 5mins (cant comment on quality of drinks, we ordered bottled beer)
Final score: minus two stars for the lame cover and less than cool crowd. Dont expect to find your true love here, but maybe a regrettable hook-​up.

This place is lame. My wife and I inally got a date night and we were so disappointed with the music and the people there. It’s a bunch of cholos standing around while fat chicks dance

I had the nachos… from a can. After ordering, the food came out after about a couple minutes which tells me it wasn’t fresh. The cheese was liquid like the stuff you buy in a Tostidos jar. same goes for the jalapeños. The chicken was definitely microwaved and black beans were probably from a can.
I would give them 1 star but they gave me my free beer for the Unilocal check in offer so I got to throw them a bone for that. But I had to send the beer back because it was flat.
On the other hand the Buffalo wings were on point and the ceaser salad was good.

Only because I have to, one star. Terrible food and drinks. I ordered a safe two recipe drink. Still came out horrible. We got here and ordered drinks. The soda fountain must not be working because my drink taste like a well drink. We ordered food which tastes pre-​heated (not even hot enough). The ranch for our onion rings taste like it come from jack in the box (which is good but this isn’t jack in the box). Terrible over all. Someone call John Taffert please!!!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. It was my first time here with my boyfriend. We had an idea of what to expect after reading all the reviews and I must admit I was quite skeptical coming here, but we had a groupon we needed to use so we went with little hope it wouldn’t be so bad.
Well, that hope went out the door as soon as we walked in. We were the first ones to arrive and there was club music playing. The waiter seated us at a large booth, but the table was dirty so we asked to be seated at the one next to it. Then, I asked for a lemonade which he claimed was freshly made. He was taking a while to bring it and my boyfriend notices he’s over at the bar making it. Then he brings it to me and it tastes like he squeezed a bunch of limes and added water! First of all, they shouldn’t call it lemonade if they use lime it is very misleading especially because I don’t really like lime. It was too gross to drink so I stuck to the tap water he served us in the beginning.
We ordered their nachos as an appetizer. It was actually pretty good. It was big enough for the both of us to share. For my entrée I ordered the ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ slater burger without the bbq. As soon as I took a bite I was disgusted. I looked at the bun and it was covered in some sauce. I don’t know what it was but I didn’t like it at all. I decided to just eat the patty, but nope it didn’t taste good either. I ended up eating some of the seasoned fries even though they weren’t great.
Overall, the reviews were definitely accurate. The food here sucks. The restaurant itself isn’t even that nice it looks rundown. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It isn’t worth the money at all.

The best place in town to watch UFC and or Boxing
The bar tenders are great! its a free pour bar so yeh Cocktails Rock!
the happy hour Pizzas are delicious. Overall the place is huge people are super friendly and I always run into a friend.

The food was absolutely disgusting! I ordered a Kobe burger and it looked more like a cheeseburger from McDonalds. The service wasn’t much better.
Save yourself a hassle and go somewhere else. Or, just trust the other Unilocal reviews. I wish I had but I wanted to watch the UFC fights.

I have mixed feelings about this place. I went recently to see Debbie deb live. Tickets were only $ 10. But she didn’t go on stage until midnight and only sang a few songs then left. The club was playing some good music but there was no AC so I was dying! I like dancing here but can you please get some AC in the club? Lol drinks were OK. A little pricy and not worth the $$. They also need some friendlier staff…
I’m willing to give this place one more shot…

Great food and good service.
They have a great chef that makes some outstanding quality of plates. They have some great house music. I’m digging this place.
