Transform Reglazing

Had our bathtub done and within a week I noticed a few small chips. I called the company and they sent out the guy that did the work to take a look at it. When he came out he reassured me the chips would not get any bigger and now six months later I have a 6 inch chip in the middle of my tub. We had him come out again and he refuses to honor the warranty because «we must have been cleaning it with chemicals we weren’t suppose to use» or «we must have dropped something heavy on the tub» which is absolutely not true. Why give a warranty if it’s something you don’t honor?

We used Transform Reglazing back in 2007. The people who worked for Transform Reglazing were very professional, and the their job still looks good eight years later.

As an update to my prior review. Sean arrived on time and took care of the needed repairs. The chips in the surface were indeed caused by dropped objects in the shower, just as he suspected. Sean was great about making sure that we would be able to maintain the new finish. I would definitely use this company again.

I used this local company to reglaze the original bathtub in my home around 20 years ago. It held up great. After 20 years it was time to do it again and I was so happy to find them still in business. They have been in business for 29 years. I got a quote over the phone which was cheaper than any home show offer, I also like using local businesses whenever possible.
When Sean arrived he offered up some additional options, like the incorporated non skid surface. He was on time and called before he came.
Since the tub was glazed once before it took additional time to remove the old coating. He was polite, efficient, neat and respectful of my home.
He did a great job. The tub looks better than new. It took the traditional 3 days to dry properly. In 20 years, I will call them again!

It took me some time to write this because I really had to think about how to say this and also wanted to see how well the work held up.
The good: bathtub was done well and still looks great after 6 months. I wish we had stopped here and then I could have given 4 or 5 stars.
The bad: kitchen sink was awful and although they said it was only a 30 or 60 day warranty the guy explained the process, paint, etc so it sounded like
they knew how to do it and it would hold up well if you didn’t bang pots and pans in it.
The paint in the sink was dripping into to garbage disposal and in other areas was so think you could see the original color. This was day one. On day two I asked my husband to call as I did not want epoxy paint or wtf they used draining down the sink and it would take forever to dry. Also not impressed with the overall job. I think it was day 4 or 5 before the guy came out and used steel wool to remove the paint from the sink drain– which only scratched the heck out of it.
Bottom line– I wouldn’t use them again. Better to get a new sink and have it installed.
I’d suggest they be a bit more honest/​upfront to begin with and said they either didn’t do sinks or they didn’t turn out well.
