Uptown 2000

Neat little spot! Came here for the first time last weekend. Very nice t-​shirt selection of various bands and such! Think they go for about $ 20 a pop. If you think of the convenience of having a store like this in your neighborhood, the price isn’t too bad at all.
In the words of Arnold, «I’ll be back!»

I mainly come here for Funko Pops! The guys here try to give every customer their attention but sometimes there is a lot of people, so waiting your turn can take some time.
They have a variety of collectables which I love, and it’s the only store in whittier that has more than 6 different pops, no offense to the other stores.
When I notice a blemish on the Pop or box I ask if they have different ones in the back, they always check for me without complaining and bring me back a couple different ones so I can choose the best one.
This place is definitely worth checking if you’re in Uptown.

I’ve been coming here for years and they actually listen to suggestions! I suggested a hair dye called adore and they actually listen! With so many color to choose from. you can literally find all kinds of cool shirts! and things!!!

The guy was really mellow & helpful here. I was looking for a specific Bob Marley t shirt for my son. He took down the whole rack & let me look through them. A lot of guys would have been less than pleasant when I didn’t find the one I wanted & didn’t buy one but he was perfectly nice about it. I did find my Dal a cool Bob ash tray though.

i visit all the time just to see the awesome stuff they have c: but honestly i never buy anything because i can never afford it ;-; i mean, i love what they have; its just soo expensive. if i had the money i would definitely shop here, but sadly, i dont *sigh* D: .thats more of a personal problem though! if you got the money, go for it ~ they have nice stuff~! ^.^

Great shop, large selection of band t-​shirts, posters and some memorabilia super stuff.
Shirts are expensive considering they are NOT licensed apparel, meaning the musicians get nothing out of the sales, unlike Hot Topic. That being said… Still a great shop! The guys that work there are a little «rough around the edges» but very helpful and perfectly polite.

Everyone assisted all my needs. Everyone was so helpful. This place is professional. The store is great and prices are good. I would recommend Uptown 2000 to every rock lover.

I love this place ! Everytime I go I have to walk out with something. I love the shirts and horror figures they have. It reminds me of the old hot topic when they didn’t have mainstream stuff. As long as this place is open I’ll keep shopping

NEVER AGAIN! I used to LOVE this place, it was the only local place I could rely on to find decent band shirts. However, my last visit was awful.
First, I walked in and had a nearly finished drink. I understand the sign outside says «No food or drinks», but (1) I am a capable adult who can drink without spilling and (2) I can afford to buy whatever it is i might ruin in the rare event that I did spill! The guy asked me to leave my drink at the door, but I just tossed it because by the time I would be done shopping my drink would be too watered down.
Secondly, while I was shopping, the guy (who I’m sure is the owner because he’s been there forever), very obviously and annoyingly was following me around and watching me shop. I not only felt uncomfortable to shop, but he also made me feel like a twelve year-​old who he thought was going to steal. Regardless of his intentions, this type of creepy stare down makes customers feel uncomfortable and rushed!
It’s too bad this happened because I will now be taking my loyal 10 year business I gave them SOME PLACE ELSE!

This store is a ok like the review says, lol … I have bought a few things from here. I wish they would carry large sizes in the gurlz department. The leather accessories are decent. As far as the employees they are not always so friendly, quite lazy I would say sometimes. You have to go out of your way to get them to help you sometimes. They do have a large assortment of t-​shirts and smoking accessories …

A little over priced but Good store to get band shirts but needs a little more variety in bands love coming here to get my jewelry for my piercings and also a good store to get my nephew’s b-​day presents!

this place is okay, they have a huge selection of merchandise but i find their band t shirts to be of crappy quality… everything is black, no variety of color at all. They are kind of over priced as well, not to mention terrible customer service usually. I walked in because i had seen they carried dr. marten’s, i asked the guy behind the counter if by any chance they had anymore white boots as i had seen them before he said NO, then i asked when they might bring in some more variety he said I DON’T KNOW, not very helpful at all, he didn’t care. The staff really know how to give off the «IF YOU’RE NOT GOING TO BUY ANYTHING, DON’T ASK OR TOUCH ANYTHING» kind of vibe. Very rude, i have stopped visiting now.

This store has become decent. They don’t carry as much underground merch as a lot of other stores its mainly big label stuff. They’re employee made me feel like I was wasting their time it was a short haired man with glasses. I ended up buying almost 100 dollars in merchandise and he still had a terrible attitude. I’d suggest shopping online and making your own stuff! This place is over priced and not that great. Besides it mainly attracts teens that wear swag shirts anyways

Cool spot in Uptown Whittier that’s been around for years. I come here specifically for Elvis Presley, Superman, Star Wars and Jack Skeleton collectibles. This store is a mixed mash of things that sell ranging from heavy metal and classic rock clothing to Toys and flasks. It’s one of those stores you got to check out when gift shopping for someone or yourself.

Love this place, tons of stuff and the guy with the glasses is cool. Can’t seem to find any underground metal stuff, but they do have a huge selection of other metal t’s and girl sizes.
They also have a large selection of Lipservice, patches, posters, contacts and tons of toys and action figures.

This is one of my favorite stores in Uptown Whittier. The selection of band tshirts is amazing. It seems like they always have whatever I’m looking for, whether it’s David Bowie or Cannibal Corpse. They have two huge shirt racks, one for guys and one for girls. They even have some baby band shirts! They also have two walls completely covered with band shirts, just ask to see them and they’ll bring them down for you. The back of the shop has all of the jackets and the posters. There’s also a smoke section in the back with the beads. You must be 18+ to view this section.
Other things that they have include buttons, all kinds of jewelry, wallets, posters, stickers, patches, jackets, purses, incense, mugs, stockings, dresses, skirts, hats, belts and even some shoes. It’s a huge place. They have all sorts of memorabilia too like lunch boxes and random décor. It’s hard to walk in this place and not spend money. They also have a little dressing room in the back if you need to try on anything.
The two guys that work here are so friendly! They always help me find anything I ask and answer all of my questions without hesitation. A shirt usually costs me about $ 23 with tax, which is a hell of a lot better than Hot Topic. They have a variety of genres. They even have girl-​cut shirts (Yay!) I believe they carry every size xs-​xl and even xxl. They’re always playing good music too. Maybe that’s why I feel like subconsciously buying band tshirts.
They also sell those harder to find brands such as Lucky13 and Lipservice. I love buying posters here because they’re only about $ 7-​$ 8. Everything here is relatively cheap prices. I’m pretty sure that you can even request a tshirt if they don’t have it and they’ll order it for you from their supplier. All of the shirts that I have from them are still in perfect condition after many washes, and I’ve had them for about 2 – 3 years now. They’re made from 100% cotton, so they do shrink. However, they are durable and long-​lasting.
I’ve been coming here for years and I always drop in whenever I can!
There is always something in here that I end up wanting. In Uptown 2000, there’s something for everyone. They have wonderful customer service too. Uptown 2000 is awesome!

GRAET selection of posters and tshirts too, they have Joy Divison, The Cure, Ramones, The SMiths, MOZ, just basically anything alternative, and even coffin purses, bat shaped purses.
