I visited this place was because I wanted an adjustment. They Gave me no communication on what they were doing. Took x-​rays of me asked a few questions and told me to follow up in a few days ??? I was very confused because I was told I was going to get adjusted that day and than told it takes 24 hours for them to assess and make a plan for me. I should have walked away than while I could. I returned a day later ready for a adjustment and I got dark sown in a room for twenty minutes for a medical biller to tell me what was «wrong» with my spine… she showed me a spine of a 59 year old patient who was clearly lookinh back in her x ray and compared it to mine … I’m 28 ?
She obviously wasn’t qualified to tell me the results by her uncertainty when I asked questions. She than told me (two days later that supposedly they didn’t take my insurance) where it clearly states on their paperwork it did. She than explained I needed to pay $ 700 down payment and after 12 months of treatment would be over $ 1,800 ??? Wow
This place is just looking to make money
They make «wellness plans» for you that charge and arm and a Legg
I than told her I didn’t want to continue with the treatment and she said I needed to pay and extra 130 for the «free consultation «when I asked her for my x rays she said she can’t…I asked her to show me where it says I can’t have them she couldn’t of course. Thanks I asked her why I was paying if I never got treatment done and if I was told I had to pay $ 130 out of pocket on top of my co pay I would have never started… she couldn’t show me anything… she didn’t know anything and just said I needed to pay… I payed $ 100 just to leave a place just as tense if not more dealing with money hungry centers like this one… these people do not have your best interest they recommend treatments to make money not to help you.

If I could give this place no stars, I would. these people are a major rip off, they don’t even know what they are doing… they can cause you more harm than good, and all they are after is money money money and nothing but money… they are despicable. They bring you in for a free consultation, then charge you for exam, they have you wait forever when you have an appointment, and if the Dr is not there, no one knows what in the world they are doing, not a clue. I would absolutely stay away and try a real therapy place.

This place is great! Love the whole staff. Super friendly, & caring. They have a great program, and really know what they are doing. Truly interested and invested in patiences health. Works wonders for me and highly recommend to ALL. :-)

Weiland Chiropractice provides good service and they care about the long term well-​being of their patients. Dr. Weiland is great at adjusting my autistic son. Also, I lost 40 pounds in 4 months with their Ideal Protein program, so my back feels a lot better!

I understand that every business, even a healthcare provider seeks to turn a profit, even more so when one owns and operates a private medical practice. I also understand that obtaining quality care is not free, has never nor will it ever be my expectation. That being said, I do have a huge issue with medical facilities that falsely represent and position themselves as benevolent, non-​profit like establishments who claim to provide «great care, at a great fee».
Such is the case with, Wieland Chiropractic located in Whittier, CA. Like many others, I too was seduced by their seemingly genuine and honest appeal to the public, where they make the several FALSE and contradictory claims. I’ve illustrated them below:
I suffered an abrupt back injury on March 12, 2011 and after enduring two days of agonizing pain, and eventually stumbling upon Dr. Weiland’s heavenly testimonial in the Whittier Daily News; I decided to pay them a visit. Honestly, my chance encounter with his compelling testimonial, coupled with the excruciating pain I had endured seemingly justified the painful struggle to get into my car and drive to Wieland’s medical office. If we were measuring pain from 1 to 10 and 10 was the highest I was definitely at a 12!
They eventually led me into a room where one of associates questioned me and ask me what had happened. Then they finally sent in a doctor, her name was Dr. G. So Dr. G proceeds to torture me with the same list of questions. I had spent the last 40 minutes answering and finally we move on to taking some x-​rays. I will have you know that I am still at a level 12 in pain at this point and still haven’t received any type of treatment.
It was at this point that Dr. G said to me, «were all done here today you will have to come back tomorrow at 4:30 for your results». I was in utter shock!!! I proceeded to ask asked her why, and to that she stated that they go over the x-​rays at the end of the night once everyone leaves and that she would have my results for me tomorrow. So, I left the office with a sample of bio-​freeze and the same level of excruciating pain in my back!
So the next day after I got out of work, (consequently, work was terrible because of the back pain and driving is no picnic either!), I headed over to the Weiland Center. The moment I got there I had to wait (again!), for 10 minutes. Then Marcy Dr. Weiland’s assistant pulled me into the room and asked me how I was and I told her that I was in severe pain. Marcy then proceeded to pull out a «fee worksheet», and proceeded to suggest a treatment plan for me that consisted of 36 visits for the next 3 months at the price tag value price tag of $ 5,960. After she showed me that number I almost passed out. Marcy must have noticed the shock in my face because she was sure to stress that most patients seem really shocked when they see the number for the first time. Since my insurance didn’t cover it Marcy was willing to give me a huge discount on the spot. If I went with their facilities today and signed up for the 36 treatments that she would give me a discount of $ 3,627 that would leave me a balance of $ 2,333. Wow, what a deal — $ 2000 is a lot of money?!? After seeing my reaction and continued look of awe and confusion, Marcy proceeded to make me an offer I couldn’t refuse: «if you pay the cost of treatment in full today all, you would have to pay is $ 1,895.00». I should note that I am still at a 12+ pain level at this point.
I then asked Marcy if they were going to help me? She said that I needed to select one of the options before they could move forward with any type of treatment. What? In response, I told her that I would have to think about the price since I didn’t have the money readily available. At this point, her sales pitch came to a screeching halt. I then stood up, proceeded to leave and I should stress that they let me leave their office with a herniated disc and didn’t offer an ice pack.

you guys are the best chiropractic in whittier!!! love the manual adjustments. i feel like to going to sleep after i get one… lol. staff is very nice and sweet. would recomend.
