YEE: A Yelpy Burstday at Ruby’s Diner

I never had been to Ruby Diner so I glad I finally able to try this place. Thank you Olin C for been the coolest Unilocaler to let me be her +1 to get in this event.
Ruby Diner remind me like Jonny Rocket, it has many similarities but is more into dining experience than just quick eating. The waitresses dress like they were in the 60’s classic attire.
We get to sample majority of their burgers and by end of it. The best thing about this place is their shake. It was delicious!
Every has a random wrapped swag, mine was the hand sanitizer. I trilled to see that the restaurant celebrated early happy birthday to Olin. Even she was surprised.

Ok I am finally getting around to writing my review…
When you are told to «come hungry» there is really no way you can leave disappointed… and celebrating Unilocal’s burstday Ruby Diner style was no exception! No one was more excited to come to this location than me since I literally walked there from home. That meant I could roll back when the event was over cause boy-​oh-​boy did they feed us!
I got to share a table with the lovely Olin and the man Richard L. We started off with some fries and onion rings, strawberry lemonades, and good conversations. Then tan tan tan… FOUR of Ruby’s amazing burgers:
The Classic Ruby Burger: Can’t go wrong with your classic cheeseburger
The Hickory Burger: Bacon and BBQ… sign me up
Super Burger: Grilled parmesan sourdough bread and avocado… HELL YEA!
Mushroom Swiss Burger: it’s actually a turkey burger with mushroom and Ruby sauce
Just when you think you are going to burst… a flight of THREE shakes: Oreo, Strawberry Banana, and Salted Caramel… yum!
Overall, another event for the books! As usual, Katie B you are the bomb and many thanks to the staff at Ruby’s for being so awesome!

Happy 11^th Birthday Unilocal!:) This is my first +1 event. How lucky is my coworker? :P I haven’t been to Ruby’s Diner since way back when my sorority had a fundraiser at the one in Anaheim. The staff was super cheerful and attentive and the food was delicious!
We started the night off with Fries and Onion Rings. I wished there were more onion rings than fries… they were super tasty! Fries could have been more seasoned and crisper. Between the four burgers (Classic Ruby, Hikory, Super, Mushroom Swiss) we tried, the Super Burger was my favorite! Parmesan crusted sour dough kept me wanting moreee. The Hikory Burger was runner up. Can’t go wrong with onion rings, bacon, and BBQ sauce on a burger!
We finished off the meal with 3 milkshakes (Oreo, Strawberry Banana, and Salted Caramel). Strawberry Banana should have came out first. It was light and refreshing but, didn’t really make me want more of it since it came after the Oreo. The Salted Camarel sounded weird and super sweet for a milkshake but, ended up being my favorite!

Another Unilocal event that never fails to deliver a night full of fun, a belly full of food, and heart full of happiness! The staff at Ruby’s was very cheerful and friendly. They served us 4 different and amazingly delicious burgers and 3 different gloriously guilty shakes. I got to meet some very cool Unilocalers and of course walked away with some nifty Unilocal swag. Happy birthday Unilocal,you throw the best of bashes!

Since becoming pregnant, I’ve been having major hankerings for burgers and fries. This event was right up my alley :)
This Ruby’s location was close to my work and sits right next to the 24 Hour Fitness I come to every week for class. I know the area well. One side of the restaurant was reserved for our birthday party and it was a festive event thrown by our CM Katie.
We sampled a quarter piece of a burger on the menu along with baskets of «frings» aka fries and onion rings. To top it all off, we also received a little shot glass sample of 3 different milkshakes. Totes to the staff– being wonderful and happy and fun all night long.
With so many burger choices out there, I know I’ve neglected Ruby’s. This event made me remember the deliciousness of their French Fries. Oh how I miss those garlic fries…
Oh and pssst. @Katie– hook me up with a Unilocaly bib next time I see you yeah? Baby Murphy thanks you in advance *wink wink*

Great summertime fun at Ruby’s Diner in Whittier!
Thank you Unilocal LA and Katie B. for such an awesome Burstday event. My sister and I were so full from the whole dining experience. Special shoutout to our sweet server, Lauren, for providing great friendly service throughout the night!
The food was delicious! We started off with onion rings and fries. I devoured most of the onion rings (sorry sis!) and we enjoyed the fries. Next was the burgers! We sampled the Classic burger — simple but so tasty; the Hickory burger — great if you’re a fan of onion rings, bacon, and BBQ sauce; the super burger– loved it bc of the avocado and sourdough bread; and the mushroom swiss burger — I was super full once it came to this one but it was good too!
Loved the shake samples. My favorite was the Oreo shake. I will definitely come back for that shake! Thank you the Ruby’s staff for gifting the Elites with a Ruby’s giftcard and free shake coupon. I’m ecstatic to come back and use it. Thanks to Unilocal for the cool giveaways… I’m looking forward to sporting my Unilocal water bottle!
All in all, great event. Ruby’s Diner is yummy! You must visit!

As usual, Katie and Jessica did a great job planning this event! I haven’t been to many, but I have such a great time whenever I do.
This time, I had the opportunity to take my mom, who has been excited to come to an event but unable to for the past year. Immediately, she felt welcomed. We loved the party hats and favors already on the table for us. We started plotting what burgers we wanted to try and were delightfully surprised to find out we get to try all of them! We were lucky enough to sit at a table of 4 because each table shared 1 burger each time. We saw some tables of 2 sharing 1 burger each time, and that would’ve been too much for us! My favorite was the Super Burger. We also loved getting to try the shakes for dessert. It was the perfect dessert because the consistency was more like that of ice cream than of a milkshake.
Great job Katie and Jessica! My mom can’t wait to tag along for another event with me :)

This was one of those Unilocal events where you didn’t leave disappointed! Katie B said to arrive hungry and there was a good reason for this disclaimer. You had to come prepared to eat A LOT!!!
When we arrived at Ruby’s, we noticed that the right side of the restaurant was set up for the night’s Unilocal event! The left side of the restaurant was still open for hungry patrons as well. I really liked that they accommodated loyal customers and Unilocalers concurrently without disrupting their normal business operations.
Once seated, we placed our red party hats decorated with our trusty Unilocal logo on top of our heads. We ordered Cherry Coke and began to read through the menu. I was a bit confused when I saw four burgers as I didn’t realize that everyone would be sampling all four burgers! Katie did remind us to arrive hungry!!! Three beef burgers had their unique qualities and none was like the other. The final burger was a turkey burger with all of the toppings! Unfortunately, due to past medical issues I don’t consume red meat and I became a little nervous. We talked to our waitress and they offered to substitute turkey burgers for the beef burgers on the menu. So basically, the burger was as described on the menu but turkey replaced beef. They also gave us turkey bacon as well. I truly appreciate their ability to accommodate us at the last minute. As for how good the food was… Well let’s just say that this was my first time at Ruby’s and I plan to return for a couple more rounds!!!
After everyone finished their burgers, three different milkshakes were served. The first one was a strawberry and banana shake topped with whipped cream. I really liked this one as it seemed to be heavier in banana flavor vs strawberry. Nevertheless, it was perfectly blended and very refreshing! The second milkshake was an Oreo cookie creation with vanilla ice cream and this was also pretty good! The final offering was a salted caramel milkshake. I’m not a fan of salted caramel candies so I was slightly hesitant to try this one. However, when I had my first spoonful, I was surprised because it wasn’t heavy with a true salted caramel flavor. It was blended in a way that gave it a neutral, buttery flavor. It was almost indescribable because it didn’t taste like salted caramel and I loved it! This was the milkshake that I enjoyed the most!
Before I forget, there was a special birthday for fellow Unilocaler, Olin! She was given a large sundae and a cute hat to sport for her special day. Plenty of people walked away with Unilocal goodies like shot glasses, frisbees, and someone got a t-​shirt!
I’d like to thank Katie B for yet another fun Unilocal event. They say that she goes all out for her events and her hard work really shows.
Once again, I’d like to express my gratitude to the staff at Ruby’s for welcoming Unilocal into their establishment with open arms. They served food nonstop and the event ran smoothly. I’ll definitely return to Ruby’s to explore more items on their menu!

My first Unilocal event in LA! How awesome! As a San Diegan getting transplanted back to California from Kansas City, I was so excited to see what Unilocal LA is like compared to KC. Unilocal East LA represented and gave me something to brag about to my KC buddies.
I had the lucky opportunity to sit with Kate and Jessica, our epic CM and sidekick-​extraordinare, who were so welcoming to this Californian turned Midwesterner. They’re downright hilarious, super cool, and deeply committed to Unilocal and keeping the Unilocalers involved and engaged in the community. You two rock!
As for the event… whoa! I had a blast! What an amazing event! My socks were blown off by the friendly hospitality of Ruby’s Diner, with generous portions of burgers, fries, and shakes!
My favorite were the Hickory burger, with the onion ring and bacon (anything with bacon is awesome, no?) and the sourdough burger with avocado — it was very «Californian» with the avocado and grilled cheese style of sourdough bread that was like NorCal meets SoCal.
And can we ask who put the crack in those shakes? The Oreo and salted caramel were not only delicious, but kept me energetic on the ride home!
The party theme was complete with Unilocal hats and party favors. It was such a fun event, with the enthusiasm of the waitstaff and managers. I could see smiles all round.
Excellent job guys. I’ll most certainly be back for dinner! And congrats to Jose C on the photo win!

A big ol’ happy burstday to Unilocal,11 years! Looking even better as the years go on! Like fine wine.
There was plenty of parking right in front of the restaurant, which was perfect! We grabbed our name tags on the table outside and could see how decorated the right side of the restaurant was, starting from party hats all the way to Unilocal swag!
We were treated to appetizers of onion rings and french fries and any fountain drinks or lemonades you craved. It had been years since I’ve been to Ruby’s and was thrilled at the onion rings and the strawberry lemonade! And… I hadn’t even yet had the burgers or the flights of milkshakes yet!
Loved how the Head of Marketing came out to speak to us and tell us the history of Ruby’s Diner. The hospitality from the servers all to way to the top were just wonderful.
Each of our booths sat 8 people but we only had 6 people at our table, so we had a few leftover quarters of our burgers since they were cut into 4 to share. It was an awesome idea to cut 4 different burgers into quarters, so that we could taste each burger (The Classic Ruby Burger, The Hickory Burger, Super Burger, and the Mushroom Swiss Burger). Each of the patties were oh so juicy and plump! That is some quality meat right there!
My eyes did deceive me though, I had thought that I would not be too full but even before the 3^rd burger (Super Burger) came out, I was already quite full and we still had 2 more burger quarters and 3 flights of milkshakes! Need to pace oneself, but it is just so hard when everything is just to tasty! I do not have a favorite burger as they all stood out on their own. Delicious!
The 3 flights of milkshakes (Oreo, Strawberry Banana, Salted Caramel) were the perfect size as we were all getting quite full. Most definitely treated to a grand meal! I love Oreos. but my favorite milkshake was the Strawberry Banana. Love the taste, very balanced.
The whole evening was such a great time, and what a blast to close out a Monday! Met a few Unilocalers (N. Danny, Jeanny L.) and hope to see them at future events!

I had a fantastic time at this YEE with my wife. It was a pleasure seeing familiar faces (Thank you Katie and Jessica for this event) and as always making new friends.
It has been a while since I’ve been to a Ruby’s so it’s very nice to see that Nostalgic 50’s style décor. Great staff… waitresses, managers, cooks, and so on.
The food selection was very Delicious. the Fries served and onion rings were very crispy and tasted exceptionally better in my opinion with the side of 1000 island dressing and also Honey Mustard… Well, at least to me they did.
The first 2 burgers (Classic and Hickory) were very good though in my opinion I would say the beef patty could have used just a pinch more of seasoning and may be just a tad dry… though I won’t complain as these burgers were great. I specially enjoyed the Hickory with the Bacon, BBQ sauce and onion rings & also a secret ingredient I added to the classic was some of that Honey Mustard I had ordered before for the fries and onion rings. The Super Burger that followed was also a tasty treat. I really enjoyed the Sourdough Parmesan bread served and the Ruby sauce though subtle gave it a great flavor. Finally, the Mushroom Swiss burger was another yummy serving as it was served with a turkey patty that changed the taste from the first 3 burgers.
Dessert served was a sweet way end the festivities starting off with the most delicious Oreo shake. The Strawberry Banana shake that followed though my least favorite of all the shakes served tonight was a good flavor choice and very refreshing. The final shake, salted caramel was at least for me almost as good a the Oreo one but I still like the first one the best. I’m sure other would disagree with me but still never the less all great milk shakes.
As always with YEE I had way too much fun with great food, and people to share these experiences with. Thank you every one involved with this event. The gifts were amazing. Happy birthday to Unilocal,the birthday girl, Olin (Many happy returns) and congratulations to the contest winners as well as a big thank you for the gift card and coupons presented.
After tonight, I can’t wait to go eat at Ruby’s again!

It is my first time to Ruby’s Diner thanks to my Unilocal elite BF. This place is super adorable. Waitress here wear red and white uniform matching the theme color of the restaurant. We got seated to the booth as soon as we got there. There are varieties of presents from Unilocal on the table and I got the frisbee (Thank you Katie and Unilocal!) The waitress was super friendly and asked us what to drink right after we got seated. I got the root beer and strawberry lemonade. The strawberry lemonade looks super cute. It has this pink color which every girl loves and real strawberry in the bottom of the drink. It also has great taste as its look.

We got to try 4 different kinds of burger. (Classic, Hickory, Super and Mushroom Swiss Burger) and appetizer (Fries and Fried Onions) Start with the appetizer, I got to say that I love the fried onions. It was super crispy and I can taste huge chunk of onion flavor which is awesome! The ranch dressing definitely brought up the fried onion flavor. For the 4 burgers, my favorite was the Super Burger. It had Ruby Sauce, avocado (my fav!), Swiss lettuce, cheese, tomato, and grilled Parmesan sourdough bread. I love how they toasted the sourdough bread, it was super crispy. I also love the second one which is Hickory, the fried onion in the burger definitely create this sweetness to the burger. The BBQ sauce was outstanding. I also love how they toasted the bun which make it taste super soft and add a little of crispness. I really enjoyed all 4 of the burgers and starter. We even asked for extra fried onions in the end!
After the burger feast, we got the milkshake flight. At that moment people in my table were all super full from burgers but we were all excited to try the milkshake. Who doesn’t have extra space for refreshing milkshakes? we got to try Oreo, Strawberry Banana and Salty Caramel flavor milkshake. My favorite was the strawberry banana flavor because it was super fruity. After the dessert, we had this photo contest for the chance to win $ 20 gift card from Ruby’s. Luckily my BF won the photo contest by his Instagram post! What else can be better than this? Yummy food, great people and awesome prize in the end.

With the Summer being a celebration of so many things, why not have a GRAND CELEBRATION! OK, I guess a GRAND CELEBRATION is so overused. Unilocal is turning 11 Years Young! Instead of having any ordinary birthday, Unilocal LA EAST wanted to have a BURSTDAY! How do we celebrate Unilocal’s Birthday?! We dine… In a retrospective way. Grab your stomach, your palette, and your cravings because we are headed to a Unilocal Elite Event called, A Unilocaly Burstday at Ruby’s Diner in Whittier.
Since I am a Unilocal Elite registered with Unilocal OC, my girlfriend (who is a Unilocal Elite and THE BEST!) invited me as her +1. You can say, I am a spy Unilocal Elite from a different area. My girlfriend and I were very excited to go as Unilocal has become a part of our lives for many years. Plus, Unilocal is how we both met and are together to this day. Since Unilocal is celebrating its birthday, we are celebrating how we both met as well. Without Unilocal,you wouldn’t be reading this review at all.

Ruby’s Diner is located on the lot of the Whitwood Town Center, just a little south of Whittier Blvd. My girlfriend and I arrived quite a bit early to Ruby’s Diner. So we waited in our vehicle until a few others showed up about 15 minutes before the 7pm start time. We walked up and Katie put some name tags on the table for us to pick up or write our names for the guests. Katie got the A-​OK to start seating the guests inside. We did get a little sneak peek through the windows, but it was a much better view inside. As the YEE says, its a «BURSTDAY!» We saw the Burstday Hats and the cool Unilocal Swag on the table. We sat down at one of the small booths due to accessibility, but it would be a cool decision that we did. So much Unilocal all over the tables. I guess the only thing missing is the Unilocalers wearing red, Unilocal shirts.
We saw the menu and were ecstatic to see the varieties that we were going to sample. I have never been to a Ruby’s Diner before, but I am definitely looking forward after a successful evening and BURSTDAY! The staff gave a round of french fries and onion rings for each table. Our waitress got our drink orders: two Cherry Cokes. That’s how we roll. We knew that the start off of the meal would be a great start and also an adventurous one. Ruby’s Diner were offering the following burgers: The Classic Ruby Burger, the Hickory Burger, the Super Burger, and the Mushroom Swiss Burger. I don’t know where to begin. Since we had a two seat booth, we got the bigger portions of the burgers. Some tables had to split the burgers in quarter sections versus us who had half of a burger. Although, three of the four burgers had red meat, we had to let the staff know. They were very accommodating since my girlfriend and I don’t eat red meat. So, all of our burgers were made with a turkey patty and one burger had a turkey bacon. WE HAD THE SPECIAL BURGERS! Our waitress with the glasses was so sweet and very kind to us. I wish we got her name to dedicate this review to. (If you are reading this, let me know your name and I’ll correct it).
My favorite burger was the Super Burger. Why?! First off, the bread was speaking to me. It looked like a toasted grilled cheese bread. In fact, it was. It was a grilled, Parmesan toasted Sourdough bread. It was served with a turkey patty with RubySauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and sliced AVOCADOS! It was so smooth and crunchy at the same time that a memory bank in my head said… This is the sandwich for me! My girlfriend does not do avocado, so, basically, I had the whole sandwich to myself. Scrumptious!
After having so many samples, I had forgotten that there was DESSERT! I mean, I love dessert and all, but I had gone on so many rounds with the burgers that the dessert will do the knockout punch. Ruby’s Diner would be offering three different flavors for our Unilocaly Burstday: 1) Oreo 2) Strawberry Banana 3) Salted Caramel. I loved the thick Strawberry Banana flavor. I even finished my girlfriend’s sample. Sorry Hun!
When you think the fun is over, its NOT! At the beginning of the evening, there was a contest with the best photo of the evening on Instagram. The winner of the evening was Paul. I think. Someone had joked that there are THREE Paul’s in the room. We all want that Ruby’s Gift Card to take home.
As the night was turning over, the Ruby’s Diner staff Thanked us for having us try their food and being in their home. It should be us who should be thanking the staff. In return, Unilocalers donated money back to the staff with the UFC donation box that was being passed around. The Unilocal Elites registered for the event got a $ 10 Gift Card and a coupon for a free Shake or Malt courtesy of Katie B and the Unilocal LA East Team. This was my first Unilocal Elite Event and it definitely did not disappoint!
I was greeted by Jessica, who instructed me to get a Unilocal-​themed name tag (super cute) and I peaked at the window to see what the event looks like– super swagged-​out with Unilocal goodies! Party hats, presents, pins, etc.
Bianca, our waitress, started us off with drinks. I ordered a root beer, but the strawberry lemonade looked refreshing so I switched after my 2 refills. They also gave us 2 baskets of «frings» (fries and rings) for appetizers… Can I just say, yum?!!
At first, I thought that we would choose from the four burgers they were offering, but I found out from our table neighbors that they are having us sample all four (classic, hickory, super and mushroom Swiss)!!! I was so excited when I found out about this.
The milkshake flight was probably my favorite part of the night. Oreo, strawberry vanilla and salted caramel… If this is what elite is like, then I’ll keep doing it.
This event made me grateful to be part of such a wonderful community, and I am now even more motivated to give detailed reviews! Thanks Unilocal elite and Katie!

I had a great time at this event! Katie and Jessica did an awesome job at setting up and making the burstday party so fun. Upon walking up there was a table with our name tags already written out which made it super quick and easy. Once inside we got to pick a table with all the Unilocal goodies on them. It was so cute that the little gifts they gave out were all different and individually wrapped. It felt just like a party. We got to wear the awesome party Unilocal hats which everyone was such a good sport about and wore.
The menu consisted of sampling burgers and shakes.
First up…
Classic burger — this was actually my favorite one. It was simple but so tastey and mouthwatering.
The Hickory burger — was really good and I loved that it had onion rings, however, the onion in it was paper thin so I only got onion rings with no onion.
The super burger– this was pretty much everyone’s favorite. Anything with avocado is good throw it on some sourdough bread –delish!
The mushroom swiss burger — this was a turkey patty so it was very light. It tasted good, just a little too much mayo for me.
Shakes! Couldn’t wait to try these. The Oreo was my favorite, can’t go wrong there. The strawberry banana was very light I wasn’t a fan. Lastly, the salted caramel was really good! The flavors were all there. And they topped all shakes with whipped cream. Mmmm.
After we ate we entered into a social media competition for best picture. It was all fun! We got a gift card to come back, so we will be back!

Just got home from this awesome Unilocal event put on by Katie B and Ruby’s Diner. I had a great time! My plus one was my bestie. The set-​up was really cute and we were seated on one side of the diner. I’m guessing there was about 50 – 60 of us Unilocalers gettting our grub on.
Checking in was very easy. For the Elite Unilocalers, their name was already written out on the name tags and the plus one would just write their name on the name tag. Most of the seating was at booths set up for 8, but it seemed like really only 6 people max sat at each table… there was more room with 6, and there were a couple of booths for 2 people. My friend and I sat at a booth, and so we ended up meeting some other Unilocalers. Each table setting had a plate, birthday hat, button, and a gift with a menu in between.
Service was excellent and the waitresses were really attentive! Our drink orders were taken promptly and we were brought baskets of onion rings and fries to share. The fries were good, but I really loved the onion rings! So crispy and tasty! We were given 4 burgers to sample. Each burger was cut into quarters and since there was only 6 people at the table, each person was able to have an extra helping of the various burgers. Even then, we still had lots left over!
The first burger we tried was the classic burger. It was a traditional burger with lettuce, tomato, American cheese, and RubySauce. This burger tasted good and juicy. Simple, but a classic burger in any sense. The second burger was the hickory burger. This juicy burger had it all: bacon, cheese, BBQ sauce, RubySauce, lettuce, tomato, and onion rings. Very tasty, but for sure not the burger to eat if you are on a diet! The third burger was the Super Burger. This was my favorite! It had Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, RubySauce, and avocado served on grilled parmesan sourdough bread. It looked like a healthy burger! The grilled parmesean balanced the sourdough bread very well. Tasty, toasty, and just delicious. I would for sure get this burger when I come back! The last burger was a mushroom Swiss burger. This one had turkey meat instead and came with Swiss cheese, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, and RubySauce. This one also seems like a healthy burger. Also good, but I’m not too fond of turkey meat. I think I’m just too used to the taste of beef, lol. Dessert was a flight of 3 shakes: oreo, strawberry banana, and salted caramel. All 3 flavors were very good, but my favorite would be the salted caramel. It tasted like vanilla ice cream and not overly salty or too much like caramel. I was surprised I even liked the strawberry banana! I’m normally not a fan of strawberry flavored foods because to me they are too sweet. However, this one was not overly sweet and I liked being able to taste the bananas!
It turned out that it was actually someone’s birthday, so the person was brought a special dessert! I thought that was very cool and going the extra mile! At the end of the night, there was a Instagram/​Twitter photo contest and 2 winners were chosen. I did not hear what prize they won, but my gift at the end of the night was a Unilocal ice tray! I can now serve Unilocal shaped ice at my gatherings! Someone had made a cute, sparkly tip jar, so that was passed around, and of course my friend and I gave a generous tip! The staff was excellent and so was the event! Before going home, all the Elites were given a coupon for a free milkshake and a $ 10 gift card! That was very generous of Ruby’s Diner! I can now take my boyfriend back since he was not able to go to the event with me!
Another great night out thanks to Unilocal,Katie B, and Ruby’s Diner! In total, we each at a little over a whole burger, plus a soda, fries, onion rings, and milk shakes! I am beyond full! I can’t wait for the next event, and for sure, I’ll be going to Ruby’s again!

early BIRTHDAY SURPRISE !!!
Running late, I was looking for parking. Lucky to spot an empty one close to the venue. Hopping into the diner to be greeted by the only one, Katie who was ready with my name badge and pointed me to my table. Richard, the sweetest buddy, already saved me onion rings, fries and my Unilocal hand sanitizer!
Unilocal successfully secured half of the venue for this event! We were all decorated with the party hats, party favors, and of course expose to all the foods and drinks: Burger ¼s, 3 milkshakes samplers, lots of fries and onion rings, ice tea, strawberry lemonade.
Service was prompt, friendly and accommodating.
As usual, Katie is full of surprises. After bombing us with delicious foods and drinks including varieties of milkshakes; she was also throwing a photo contest. We were all thinking about photos ideas. The time deadline was approaching!!! Uh-​oh!!! In seconds, photos popping up at social media! Wow, you guys so creative and fast!!!
THEN, I heard sounds of people singing and saw the crews lining up bringing something with lights. They’re getting closer, closer and HEY closer to ME!!! O-​M-​G, the biggest surprise of the night EVER! The birthday hat was landed to me. Bunch of people were taking my pictures including snapchat.
Sweet Katie, my Angel, thank you so much for the surprise plus gift card plus voucher!!! Thank you so much for Jessica, all the crews and Unilocal buddies who came over to say happy birthday to me!!! Much appreciated! I am blessed!!!

Fantastic Unilocal event organized by Katie B and Ruby’s Diner! This was my first time at Ruby’s and I was really looking forward to some good ol’ burgers and shakes. We were seated on one section of the restaurant and upon getting seated there were nice little gifts in each seat and pins.
We were served 4 types of burgers, fries and onion rings, and to top it off we had a flight of shakes. All the burgers — Classic Ruby, Hickory Burger, Super Burger, Mushroom Swiss Burger — were amazing. My favorite one was the Super Burger. The cheese crust on that sourdough bread was great! I also really enjoyed their onion rings since they were really crispy.
The dessert, or desserts, were perfect. Oreo, Strawberry Banana and Salted Caramel shakes were served in shot glass sized cups. My favorite one was the Oreo since I am an Oreo addict but they were all amazing.
Thank you Ruby’s and Katie B for such a wonderful event! And thank you for the gift cards! I will be back!
