Military move… I see a common theme. I was allowed 11,000 lbs to move. The original estimate was 10,000. Now they say the weight was 12 900. I requested a reweigh… Well it never got reweighed. I made a claim of nearly 30 broken items. This company is crap. I will also be filing a complaint with DOD. Hopefully they will not receive military move contracts any more.

This review is for Moving Staffers, which appears to be another name for this company, but is generally a shady operation with little to no paper trail.
Customer service before the moving service was great — everyone was responsive, etc. Come moving day, it became clear they essentially didn’t communicate with the people they contract. They sent a crew of 2 on a job that required packing and loading an entire 2 br house, including several heavy items which they specifically asked me about several times.
The results were easy to predict. The stairs and hallways in the house have significant damage after the job, including holes that punch completely though the plaster and huge dents in the hardwood. There are several items that are damaged, including a china cabinet with a leg that was broken off and fractured part of the bottom and a treadmill with several metal pieces bent or snapped.
After contacting Moving Staffers, I was pretty much told that they were sorry about my things being damaged, but they weren’t going to do anything for me. I guess they plan on taking the stance that the items were supposedly broken in transport rather than loading and push responsibility onto the moving vendor?
Stay far, far away!

Sloppy business ethic, poor communication, EGREGIOUS «record keeping». We contracted with «Moving Staffers» back in May, to help coordinate a move out, 3 months’ storage and a move in. They work with ABF (sort of). Moving Staffers informed me we would have an ABF truck between 8 am and 12 noon on Tuesday. Truck didn’t show up. I called to see what the holdup was, and ABF had no record of a truck being listed for dispatch. ABF managed to come through, however, and a truck arrived by 2 pm that day.
The movers were sent the next morning. I had explained to the «Moving Staffers» representative that we had a large, heavy and fragile china cabinet that would need special handling. Otherwise, contents of a 5-​room house, normal handling and regular protocols. This was ALL communicated to the «Moving Staffers»… but they didn’t bother relaying this to the movers they «arranged». We got 2 movers who panicked and wanted us to sign a waiver of responsibility. The two of them and I managed to load the piece, but not without a lot of whining on their end. They threw boxes on top of other items marked «FRAGILE», loaded nothing high or tight… and cost us more, being charged by the footage. We ended up having to rent a UHaul in addition, because there were so many items they couldn’t get onto a 27 foot truck. Enough, already… we paid them and went our way.
Somewhere along the line, «Moving Staffers» became «Albert Moving». In July I contacted them to alter the plan slightly, as our move-​in date was rescheduled for August instead of September. There would be no need to store our belongings in August… the ABF unit would be delivered August 3^rd and we would need the move-​in assistance on August 4. But when I called «Albert Moving», the representative said I’d have to contact a moving company. He gave me 3 names of independent movers they had worked with before. I made the calls & arranged a contractor.
ABF was on time on Aug 3. The mover didn’t show up on the 4^th. I called him and he was double-​booked, didn’t have a record of our move, but arrived that afternoon. He was great — we paid him and went on.
But Moving Staffers has no record of this. They charged our debit card again, expecting to send another team of movers on Sept. 1. They have no record of my calling in July to change the arrangements and it’s «not their policy» to refer names. They want a «cancellation» fee.
We didn’t «cancel»… I called to change the date specifics, and THEY didn’t keep records of it.
1. Keep better records.
2. Keep tabs on your employees who DO give out names over the phone.
3. Consider careers in forestry. Moving services are evidently too much for you to handle.

Zero stars! #worstmoveever hardly covers the unacceptable service by Albert Moving. Since this was a military move, I will also file my complaint with the Department of Defense to recommend this company be removed from the current and any future DoD contracts.
We replied to an email on 20 JUL, asking for details on the delivery date so we could adjust our travel plans. We heard nothing back till I called them on 24 JUL, the day our truck was loaded. That was the first time we heard that the delivery would be 27 JUL. We asked for 28 JUL to allow safe travel for us and so we could make hotel reservations. Two hours later, I called Albert again, only to be informed that 27 JUL was firm since the unloading crew was already scheduled and could not slip one day. So, before the truck was loaded, my wife had to strike out on her own for a 1633 mile trek to be in Colorado Springs on Monday to receive our household goods. Now this is where their lack of customer service and coordination goes from totally unacceptable to absolutely absurd because there is no crew there as I type this on 27 JUL at 1000 MDT. Moreover, we’ve been informed that the crew is scheduled for 28 JUL. If we’re lucky, a pick up crew of doubtful experience and expertise will off load our stuff today.
We have moved 23 times (including 4 overseas moves) in 34 years of service to our Nation so I know of what I speak when I emphatically state that this is the worst moving company ever!

Coordination is poor. Move-​in address provided months in advance, then «customer care coordinator» informed me they could not deliver because they had no move in address. Then QA department defaults to an excuse of not being able to accept next day as the reason. Even though the coordinator admitted to the address as being a problem. Still in hotel awaiting shipment of property. BTW driver indicated they would not be able to get the shipment there the next day since it took them until 6 pm to finish loading and it wasn’t a local move. Disconnect. I would have been reasonably happy if the coordinator would have never let slip that they didn’t have a delivery address… that part is irritating. Then the back peddling by the QA department was insulting. Not expecting stellar results on destination delivery given the lack of oversight thus far. Hopefully I’m wrong.

Military move. This is the company that delivered our goods (not packed). This by far the worst PCS move ever. Lots of our items were damaged, broken or missing. I really doubt this company will do anything to help us but we are going to call and ask if they have found some very important boxes that have my husbands boot camp photo and other family photos. We are blaming all those involved across the board. From those that packed us up to trucker and Albert. Our items were not treated well at all. I know some of you do not have say when it come to Military but at least keep an eye on the movers and make sure every single box and item is accounted for. My sons first ever bike gone :(.We will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and you all should as well.

My husband called about the missing boxes and the guy on the phone was quick to apologize and make sure the manager over at the storage area would get on it and look for the missing items and says bye.
Not once did he ask for name, address or any identifiable information that would help them locate our items or who we were. Liars.

This company deserve a negative stars! The military paid for our move and we didn’t have a choice but to use this company. They hired unprofessional people to pack and load our stuffs. I have witnesses and photo evidence. I will file a complain from this company and also the military who booked our move. Stay away from this company!

This is the biggest rip off company in the world. First they need your credit card to hold your reservation — then once they have your credit card — they get to charging for all kind of stuff. First off they hire movers who do not show up at your home at the time promised. They are guaranteed to have you pack by a certain time — no way — then you are guaranteed a price — biggest rip off of all — carla perez is the biggest con person of all — promising all kinds of stuff and not holding true to any of it. Upon her first call she says they are experts at guesstimating how much it will cost for your packing — «trust them they have this down to a science». After they pack up all your stuff — you have to sign a blank receipt saying the movers are finished but what you are signing is the right for them to steal your money right off of your credit card — so when you dispute the charges — they say well you signed a receipt — yes I did a blank receipt saying the guys were done packing. They have this bait and switch down to a science as they have been doing it for a while. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I was quoted around 2000 for packing my home (and this Carla girl told me this was an overestimate just to be safe) and they stole 5000 from my credit card — I AM GONNA LET EVERYONE KNOW ABOUT THIS MAJOR RIP OFF FRAUD COMPANY. I AM AN AMERICAN CITIZEN AND I DONT DESERVE TO BE STOLEN FROM IN THIS MANNER. All the while Carla Perez is assuring me that everything is going to be ok — as they hold all of my belongings hostage — I HOPE THESE PEOPLE ROT IN HELL FOR THE WAY THEY STEAL DECENT PEOPLES MONEY!!!

I had set up to have a team of loaders and unloaders from moving staffers for my upcoming move through ABF. I got a call 3 days before they were scheduled to load my truck to tell me that even though I had a reservation they were overbooked and would have to move to the day before or after, which was impossible on my end because of when the truck was arriving. I called to resolve the problem and they were complacent, I ended up cancelling my unloading services as well because then they told me they were reserved for the day after I had agreed to and couldn’t trust that they’d show up at my new place. I’ll recommend ABF U-​Pack to others, but never Moving Staffers, find someone local!

This review is for Moving Staffers, Wichita Falls, TX. I used them to pack ABF Relo-​cubes in Colorado. I just unpacked the cubes in Maryland and there is so much damage, it’s unbelievable. It’s especially unbelievable because we provided moving blankets, ratcheting tie-​downs, and other supplies designed to ensure the safety of our belongings. We also tried to help load the cubes and/​or supervise the loading, and a Moving Staffers employee called us to tell us that we had to let the Moving Staffers employees handle everything «for liability reasons» and «because they know how to pack a Relo-​cube.»
When I opened the Relo-​cubes, the first thing I noticed is that Moving Staffers packed a flat panel TV on its side. The TV was in its original box and clearly marked «THIS END UP.» Numerous other boxes marked «FRAGILE! THIS END UP» (which also had arrows on all sides pointing up) were packed on their sides, or upside down, or had heavy boxes placed on top of them. My set of large gardening sheers was poking INTO a soft-​sided bag (looks like rolling luggage) that contains expensive photographer studio equipment. I’ve posted some photos; it’s shocking to see the sheers — way up towards the top of the container — sticking out of my belongings. Moving Staffers also failed to completely wrap my leather couch in the moving blankets and then put a table leg with a screw sticking out of it directly on top of the couch, ripping a nice hole in the leather. They also stacked my wooden dining room chairs in a configuration apparently designed to cause maximum damage.
When I initially booked Moving Staffers, the web form said there would be a place for me to select insurance. Imagine my surprise when, upon completing the web form, I found no such place. The confirmation immediately arrived with a notice that I had «waived all insurance» (I most certainly did not!). Fortunately, my homeowner’s policy will cover the damage. But seriously, stay away from this company!

The men who moved our things were terrific. However, the company made additional charges without notice after the move had taken place. I would be careful using this company. You are better off finding a local mover, since this company just contracts out with local moving companies in your area. I would not recommend this company at all. be careful.

These guys are crap! Do not use them!
The first day was good 3 people showed up to pack my stuff into boxes. The packers were very nice and they all spoke english. The second day was a different story! Only two people showed up to load 8,500 lbs of stuff.
So one guy was the driver/​loader and the other was cataloging everything. The driver barely spoke english. I called the company to complain about this, they talk a good game on the phone so don’t let them fool you. Actions speak louder than words!
«Yes sir this is definitely a problem, we will fix this issue right away! You should not have only two people packing and loading 8,500 lbs of house hold goods.»
Yeah the movers started at 9am and did not finish until after 8pm.
Now onto the delivery day. Out of 5 guys only one guy spoke English. We gave them water and some McDonalds burgers hoping to get some good treatment! Hell no! These guys were horrible! As they were unpacking and removing boxes they stole several items! One of which was my son’s XBOX 360! I filed a claim and called them to tell them about it. I was told, «We take stealing very seriously, do you have proof?» No I don’t have proof? I didn’t know the stuff was missing until I put my house together! I know my son’s XBOX was there when the boxes were packed!
Avoid these guys at all cost!

Moving staffers quoted me a price of $ 456.00 for a moving truck and 2 movers. When it came to moving day, I had to rent a U Haul truck because the movers did not have one. Since the movers did not have a truck, my home could not be packed at 9:30 a.m. 4÷28÷12 as promised. I contacted moving staffers and they found a new mover, but they did not have a truck either. This is why I had to rent a truck. The new crew did not get to my house until 7:30 that evening. About ¾ of the way through one of the employees quit and walked off the job, leaving me and a friend to help the one mover left pack the truck. Yes I had to pay to pack my own house. By the time the mover got back up it was 12:30 a.m. The now 2 movers finished packing and we drove to the new house. By the time it was all said and done, the movers left my new home at 4:00 a.m. I contacted moving staffers as I requested a full refund because this was all their mistake. In addition I wanted to be reimbursed for the rental truck I had to rent. After talking to Scott, one of the upper management people, I was told they would only charge me $ 400.00. So basically they gave me a $ 56.00 credit and they did not cover the cost of my rental truck. In addition, I told them when I made my original sppt. not to charge my credit card, but they did anyways. Of course they charged my card before the move happened. This is poor business practice and I feel that I am due for my compensation than what they gave me.

They handled the move on both ends (GA) and (CA) for our recent move. They GROSSLY underestimated the cost and added additional charges to our credit card without our authorization. The ones in GA did a good job packing and loading the PACK RAT containers but the movers here were a nightmare. They didn’t show. After several calls to our move co-​ordinator, she finally got three guys here. They had NO supplies. They had to borrow everything from us… even a pen and paper to write out the order. They had no dolly… no scissors… nothing.
Albert Moving and Storage goes by different names. The name they used for our move was Moving Staffers.
My husband filed a complaint with the BBB against them and it is in arbitration. BBB said they have had numerous complaints against them. The lady at Pack Rats had recommended them but I asked Pack Rats not to ever recommend them again. I hope they will not.
Do not use this company!

Do i have the right company? these guys were pretty good– they are a staffing company that supplies movers nationwide. They have dispatches/​offices various cities, and my delivery ppl partner with them.
A+ moving in Portland contracted through Moving Staffers called me to conform my hire and although ABF f*cked up my entire day, they put their movers on hold for me to wait. «Heather» from dispatch communicated with me and she even gave me her cell phone to aid with the dispatch since the 800 number gets busy. When my relo cube finally arrived, they rushed right over from their homes and finished the job in less than 2 hours.
