I did love this restaurant! Being an old smoker from around Ft. Worth, I wanted to try some Kansas BarBQ at the Unilocal #1 rated restaurant in Wichita. Our group ordered brisket, pulled pork and hot links. For sides we ordered potato salad and coleslaw. The tea was fresh brewed. Everything was delicious! The best part about our visit was the friendliness of the staff! I have to tell you, the place was very very clean, and that is important to all of us foodies. Thank you, Pig In Pig Out! We’ll see you on the return trip from WY!

Beyond my wildest expectations! Ribs were extraordinary! Brisket was likely the best I have ever had. DON’T come to Wichita and not eat here!

This place is the best. Came from out of town and the guy gave me a free drink and told the cook, «Do this guy up good, he’s from out of town.» And the food… was absolutely incredible.

Can I be in a relationship with barbecue? Will Facebook let me update my life status to in a relationship with pig in pig out? I gotta tell you my downside, which is huge in my opinion. I’m only here on business and I don’t have this amazing food back home. Flavor is just so rich. You can really tell that someone cares about this food. The brisket was very tender. It had just the right amount of moisture and that smoke ring!!! It makes you take a bite and then your eyes roll back into your head it’s so good. The ribs. Tender, juicy, amazingly rich flavor. They are very confined. I’ve had the messy rib where there is so much fat that you can’t really see where the bones are. Theirs are so clean cut and it’s all meat. They’re…healthy? Yeah, yeah… healthy. Pulled pork. Light, tender, prefect amount of moisture. The flavor isn’t as overpowering as the ribs or brisket, but we don’t really want that. There is definitely a perfect flavor but it’s just lighter than the brisket. Overall, no excessive fat. Now don’t get me wrong, like I’m a fat kid in a thin persons body and appreciate the flavor profile that fat provides. It’s horrible for you but oh so good. This has all the flavor without the use of fat. I appreciate that. I finished up my meals and look at my take out containers and BAM, just take out containers. Where’s the grease? There is none. Very clean meat. My taste buds and my tummy appreciate that. Oh yeah, service was fantastic. Very speedy, extremely courteous, could not ask for better. I totally recommend, two pork butts up.(For the record, I rarely give out five stars).

Had the pulled pork, brisket, beans, and mac and cheese. The beans were the best I’d ever had in any situation. Pulled pork was amazing. So was the brisket. Just moist enough and full of flavor. The sauce was really good, too. The texas toast was soaked in butter then toasted crispy. Great for soaking up the bbq sauce and juice. The amount of food for the price was incredible. I fed 7 people for $ 50 and have enough meat left over for at least two more plates. I’m glad I don’t live in Wichita. If I did I’d be eating here way to often and would double my bodyweight in about a year and a half. Super friendly staff, too. A real gem.

I’ve had lunch now at four different BBQ locations in Wichita. Pig In Pig Out is my favorite. I had their Brisket & Rib combo lunch platter. The flavor and the texture of their ribs is perfect to me. They also serve up an awesome recipe for their BBQ hot sauce. Add their outstanding customer service and it’s an easy 5 stars for me because I can honestly say, I’ve never tried better ribs. I look forward to stopping back to sample their pulled pork.

If there is a choice of BBQ it is always this place to eat. I always get the ribs dinner so my sides include double mac n cheese as the side. I am super full after I eat here. They really do have the best mac n cheese and ribs in town. The staff is friendly and I think on some Fridays they have live music.

The best BBQ in town, lightening fast service, phenomenal food, huge portions! This is the real deal — the local joint everyone is always looking for. The ribbons and trophy so that cover the walls tell it all. Sometimes, there is live music(awesome!). This is down and dirty BBQ at it’s finest.

No no noooooooooooo. I will never return to this place. Completely rude and disrespectful. Go somewhere else like Hog Wild or 2 Brothers. Avoid it here.

Upon arrival, Pig In Pig Out, didn’t resemble the kind of restaurant that fielded raving Unilocal reviews. Shortly after 1pm on a Wednesday there was one car in the parking lot. The customer that walked in when I pulled up opened the door, glanced at the closed sign sitting in the window, picked it up and turned it around. Phew, it was open. I was concerned this was the wrong place, but the name matched the reviews. I continued inside. It was vacant and other than winner’s ribbons on the wall the scene was bland and uninviting. Fortunately, the quality and flavor of the meat took my mind off the setting. While not a hip, fun and happening place to dine, the food stands tall. Regardless of how many BBQ places you’ve eaten at(I’ve been to 100s, yes 100s) the BBQ here is far better than average. In fact, the pulled pork is some of more impressive that I’d eaten, and surpasses the famous places in the Carolinas. The brisket is lean, flavorful and worth every bite. The hot links, too, were packed with flavor. The sides are better than average, but nothing to gleam about. Keep in mind, the setting doesn’t rival the upscale atmosphere you’ll find at Jack Stack in KC, there’s no energy and action similar to Arthur Bryant’s and Gates and the hype doesn’t rival the lines at Joe’s. Meanwhile, no one can match Pig In Pig Out’s prices. Actually, I don’t think I’ve ever visited a BBQ place with four meat combos this cheap. There’s tons of value here, lots of quality and flavor(two great sauces to choose from) you’ll remember next time you think of eating BBQ. When in Wichita, this place is a must-stop on your list.

Good food Friendly staff Plentiful portions Decent prices Reasonably clean eating area. My only complaint, is that they frequently run-out of the more popular entrees — twice now, I’ve visited before 5PM, and they were out of ribs. I’m sorry, I know they don’t want a lot of left-overs, but 5PM???

Probably one of the best BBQ joints in Wichita love this place. It does get busy during lunch hours though I suggest going for dinner, it was quiet though the last time I went there.

Visiting Wichita Kansas and wanted to grab food. Went to Pig in and Pig Out and it’s in the middle of no where lol. We went in and the were about to close in a few hours. They ran out of a lot of the meats cause the were also catering that day. They gave us a sampler plate to serif we would like what’s left. The plate had pulled pork, hot links and smoked turkey. The links were really good and the pulled pork was really good! I wish I tried some with there sauce. It would have probably been out of the world with those two meats.

Excellent food and big portions for the money! Brisket, pulled pork, cole slaw and even green beans were very good. Meat was juicy and tender enough to cut with a plastic fork!

Yes I did it and I would do it again and again and again, where there is a pig you will find Mark Mash especially in this fine fantastic establishment of a city where my mother grew up where all is fine and dandy unless a tornado stirs up the sewage systems but all is well as soon as I sit down and start grabbing on this award-winning barbecue that is as good as any in the country! I would take a left at Albuquerque any time to get me some of this pig barbecue!

I was visiting from out of town. I don’t really like BBQ but my husband loooves it – probably one of his favorite dishes. I don’t remember how I heard about this place. I suggested to my husband that we try it for lunch. It was very much off the beaten path for us. Thankfully Siri got us there with no problem, otherwise I would have never found it. This was honestly the absolute best BBQ that I have ever had in my life — and I don’t really like BBQ. The meat was high quality, the portions were huge, the sides were awesome. You must try it!

Definitely the best flavor-and-quantity-to-pricepoint BBQ place I’ve been to in CA/TX/KS/MO. Quick service too! I got ribs and hot links, both of which were juicy and delicious.
