Business Owner

Dr. Sid Savitt graduated from the Ohio State College of Optometry in 1976. He then opened his Wickliffe practice shortly after in July of 1976.

Memberships include American Optometric Association, Ohio Optometric Association, Cleveland Optometric Association, Wickliffe Chamber of Commerce, and North Coast Lions Club. Additionally, Dr. Savitt served as a past President of Wickliffe Lions Club and Tanglewood Country Club. Currently, Dr. Savitt serves as a board member of The Laser Center (TLC).

Dr. Amy Titus graduated from the Ohio State College of Optometry in 2001 and joined Dr. Savitt’s practice in March of 2002. Dr. Titus specializes in contact lenses, pre-​operative and post-​operative care for Lasik and Cataract surgery, and treatment of eye infections and diseases, including Glaucoma.

My entire family has been seeing Dr. Savitt since we came to Mentor, OH 18 years ago. He is knowledgable, professional and up to date on anything relating to eye care. His staff is equally professional and friendly and many have been with him a long time. They recognize me and call me by name every time I’m in.

I’ve never been excited about an eye doctor before Dr. Savitt. He is friendly and personable, and he has a machine that scans the inside of your eye so you don’t need to use the dilating eye drops. So, you can drive (and see) immediately after you’re done, and you don’t need to spend all the extra time in the waiting room. Plus, they have a record year after year of your eye to note any changes. I would highly recommend them — and it’s TOTALLY worth the extra charge to get the high-​tech exam.

We just moved backed to Ohio after being away for 15 years. I asked my brother for a recommendation for an OD and he told me about Dr. Savitt. My wife and I both have special needs with regards to our eyes. In Maryland we needed to make appointments with 4 different doctors to ensure we were ok. Dr. Savitt has the latest equipment that enabled him to review our health records and conduct exams that gave us the peace of mind we needed. It was a one stop experience for us. He certainly has a network of specialists to recommend if necessary, but he has the resources available in his office to accomplish thorough exams and provide treatment plans and follow through with them.
His staff is friendly and easy to work with. You feel like you have known them all for 20 years after your first visit! His office is nicely decorated although there could be a couple of armless chairs added to accommodate us larger people!
