Greater Cincinnati’s Top Country Night spot has hosted legendary country music acts for 35 years. Bobby Mackey has enjoyed national country music success since he opened his authentic Texas style honky tonk. Previously known as the Latin Quarter circa 1940’s gambling casino when gangsters ran Newport. Bobby Mackey’s stands alone as the midwests premier country music venue.

Business Owner

Bobby Mackey sings traditional country music with his Big Mac Band. 40 years of singing about cheating, broken hearts, juke boxes, bar rooms, trains and trucks. How many night clubs do you know have been filled every weekend for 35 years offering EXACTLY the same singer and band? This is Bobby Mackey’s Claim to fame.

Some say his night club reflects the gentle singers personality. Bobby’s play house. Most of his employees have been with him since the very begrinning in September of 1978. The way it was is still the way it is.

The physical building still contains many of the artifacts from the wide open days when dinner and dance shows ended at 4A for the notorious Chicago gangsters who ran gambling in Newport. Complete with secret passages, hidden buzzers, basement dressing rooms & giant mechanical safe to hold all of the cash. Including poker chips menus and artwork from a by gone era. If you are looking for white table cloths with fancy candles keep on driving.
