By far the best eye doctor I’ve ever been to. Dr. Wilson is super pleasant and his wife is just the sweetest. They even fixed/​replaced a screw in my glasses that I didn’t even purchase there. Top notch people.

Everything everyone else is saying is true! Dr Wilson did the most thorough eye exam I have ever had and then went into detail with everything he saw or did. As a diabetic this is incredibly important for healthy eyes! My wife was also seen and had the exact same experience. All the staff were great too and very patient with both of us. Best experience at an eye doctor EVER!

Great staff, outstanding customer service, advanced eye technology and a kind, world class eye doctor all combine to make this optometry store an absolute gem in the Murrieta/​Temecula valley. We are lucky to have them here. You owe it to yourself to drop in and give them a try. Dr. Wilson told me he could improve on my blended eyeglasses, which I thought impossible because I liked the pair I was wearing. I was wrong. These are the best glasses I have ever worn in my life. It matters, too, because reading is a big part of my job. Recently, I came down with an aggressive eye infection. I called Bear Creek Eye Care and the good doctor saw me within the hour. The doctor’s diagnosis was spot on. I picked up the prescription and was back in business in a few hours. The doctor even sent me a follow up email to inquire how I was doing. Unbelievable that in this day and age a doctor actually contacting you to see how things are going! Do yourself a favor and visit Bear Creek eye Care. They will not disappoint, and your eyes will thank you.

My husband asked me post a review on Unilocal for Bear Creek Eye Care. He was very impressed with the quality of service and their approach. So many eye doctors feel like a
process center that need so many customers per day to reach their goal. This is not the case with Bear Creek Optometry. Dr. Wilson spent a lot of time with my husband and explained things in detail. He will be going back, and I will see him when I need a check up.

I had the pleasure of going to Bear Creek Eye Care Optometry this morning and cannot express enough how wonderful the service was.
When I walked in this morning, I was quickly seen (last minute cancellation occured) and was greeted by Dr. Wilson. Dr. Wilson is kind, funny, and seems to deeply care about the eye health of his patients. He took the time to answer all questions poised and provided in-​depth explanations regarding all aspects of his exam.
Once I was done with the exam; I underwent the optional CAT scan of my eyes and had the opportunity to review my scans with Dr. Wilson as he explained everything on the imaging study.
Choosing glasses was easy as I was assisted with his very friendly wife Carol.
I am very excited to receive my new glasses and will be sure to return to this facility for all of my next appointments!

I want to say that this is the best Optometry center I have been too and Dr. Wilson is amazing and really explained what is going on with my vision. Not the news I was expecting but I want to take care of my eyes sooner than later I will most definitely recommend anyone to come here and see DR. Wilson and the whole staff is amazing. I’m glad I came in to see Dr Wilson. Here’s why: The doctor I had previously seen gave me a prescription, and I ordered glasses in his office, picked them up and have used them since. Cut to present day: I scheduled an appt and came in to see Dr Wilson. First step: hand over your glasses. Through the exam we discovered that the glasses that I had were not made to match my previous prescription. It turned out, through the forensic analysis, that they were made incorrectly, and weren’t checked prior to me picking them up. No wonder they never felt right. Dr Wilson gave me a more thorough exam than I’d ever had, and got me all set up with a new prescription. I ordered a new set of glasses directly from him. He explained that no glasses leave his office without an independent verification of quality. I have no doubt that when I pick them up I’ll be happy with the result. Great office, great staff, great Doctor.

Recently I started noticing that my vision wasn’t quite as good as it used to be, so I started going to different optometrist offices to set an appointment. After getting 2 week lead times to the next available appointment, I went to Bear Creek Eye Care and got an appointment for the next day. The exam was thorough and Dr Wilson took great care to explain everything. After all was said and done, I got my glasses about a week later and my vision has never been better. Dr Wilson and his staff are top-​notch!

Dr. Paul Wilson and his staff at Bear Creek Eye Care are exceptional! The thoroughness of the exam and more importantly, the thoroughness of his explanation was better than any other Optometrist I have ever visited. We had an in-​depth discussion about my work and life style vision needs. His recommendations were carefully crafted around those needs. His assistants were very helpful in selecting the appropriate frame from both a utility and style perspective. Finally — I look cool wearing reading glasses!
As a side note, a week after my appointment I received a call from the office apologizing that my glasses are failed their quality test performed by the office and had been returned. Amazing! Bear Creek performs quality checks on all of their glasses. I don’t know if other Optometrists perform quality checks, but this is yet another reason to visit Dr. Paul Wilson and his staff at Bear Creek Eye Care.

Dr. Wilson and his wife make an excellent team! The entire staff is wonderful — helpful and friendly! Dr. Wilson explained everything very thoroughly and brings unique methods to his profession that definitely set him apart from any other Eye Care Provider I’ve experienced. To top it off, the whole time we were there felt fun and lighthearted — like more of a social gathering rather than a doctor’s appointment.

Great place! My mom and I needed some place that would take us on a Saturday and we found this place so I called hoping to make an appointment for the following week and they were able to get us in that same day! The doctor does an extremely thorough exam and explains every part of it very well. He was able to get my mom to ²⁰⁄₂₅ when other doctors had only been able to get her to ²⁰⁄₃₀! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Dr. Wilson is great! He’s very thorough, knows his profession very well and he’s really a nice person! This was my first visit but it won’t be my last! His staff is pretty awesome, too! They offer a wide selection of frames, at every price point.

It had been about twelve years since I had an eye exam. I knew I needed to go in but our lives have been so crazy over the years. Also being a Mom, I’ve put the rest of my family’s needs before my own for so long. I have not had such great health the past year or so and some things had been bothering me with my eyes. I finally decided to just go for it.
I looked through our insurance provider’s website for a list of local optometrists and then compared them to Unilocal reviews. I found a few that are very close by but either had less than appealing reviews or just did not come across in the way I expect an optometrist office to be.
I really prefer smaller places that actually seem to care about your best interest than how much they can get you to pay for various things. I understand that it’s still a business but I think that if you look hard enough you’ll find a business that has a great balance. I wanted to not feel pressured and feel overall comfortable. I’m not looking for a place with marble counter tops and insanely expensive designer frames. We are a family on a fair budget.
I came across Bear Creek and after reading their incredible reviews, I decided to make an appointment. From the moment the phone was answered, I knew I chose the right place. I spoke to an amazingly friendly person about their hours and it was so easy and convenient. I really appreciated that she sounded happy about where she was. I call so many places and have to communicate with people who hate their jobs or just don’t like people. This was not the case here. I got a really great impression from a two minute phone call. I even received a quick reminder call the day before my appointment. I appreciated that as I was able to verify that my insurance would be okay and I made sure I wrote my appointment down correctly. With three kids, it’s hard to remember everything!
When I arrived at the office, it was raining and drab outside. Once inside, I met Carol. She greeted me with the most genuine smile I’ve seen in a long time! Between that and the atmosphere, I felt very comfortable. I wasn’t sure what to expect after so many years since my last exam. The paperwork was clear, easy, and fast. No ten page questionnaire! After that, I had my exam with Dr. Wilson.
Dr. Wilson is also a genuinely happy and pleasant person. You can really tell that he loves his job, really enjoys being around people, and is incredibly knowledgeable. He never made me feel silly for not understanding terminology, and instead broke things down so that I could understand. He has a great sense of humor that anyone can appreciate and it makes the overall experience that much more pleasant. I was really surprised about the amount of information they can gather with the various tests. Dr. Wilson does not rush and will take the time to answer any questions. I am the type of person that likes to understand everything and I really appreciate that he would not just give me visuals he had on hand, but he even drew out my particular problem and explained it for me. He has an array of tools and seems to be «old school» in personality but still careful to stay up to date on technology and knowledge. That combo is very rare these days!
When it was time to choose my frames, I had my husband and three kids come in. They did their best to sit nicely in the waiting chairs but they’re still kids. I was never frowned at for their existence like some of the «high end» type places. Because I was able to have them sit there, I was able to have my husband’s input on frames. I really don’t feel comfortable without that because he’s the one stuck looking at my face more than I am. Carol was also extremely helpful in helping me pick frames. I know I can be picky and she was so patient and accommodating while I narrowed it down!
I know Carol and Dr. Wilson are husband and wife and I love their dynamic. They are so happy — with each other, with their business, and helping people. You can really feel that when you’re in their office.
Dr. Wilson took extra time to explain some new types of lenses to my husband as well and we both learned a lot about the various options available now. We were finally able to figure out a lens option that will work for my husband in his line of work. I even learned about some lenses that would work well for my parents. I had a lot of catching up to do after neglecting to go to an optometrist for so long and they really took the time to inform me.
Carol was wonderful about helping me decide on my options based on our budget. I love that she gave me the info I needed to make the decisions instead of trying to pressure me into certain choices. I felt like she was really trying to help me get the best options for what we could afford.
We will be back. All five of us. We have found our permanent optometrist. This is one of those places that you will drive an hour to go back to when you move away. They’re worth your time and money. You won’t be disappointed!

I got my first pair of contact lenses today at Bear Creek Optometry! I didn’t even realize that my prescription was offered in contact lenses! Dr. Wilson fit me with multi focal contacts and now I can see both near and far! Amazing! I still find myself reaching, out of habit, for the glasses on my head when I’m about to read something, but then immediately remember that I don’t need readers anymore!
Dr. Wilson informed me that 20% of optometrists fit multi focal contacts! He’s one of the 20%! I’m SO GLAD I found him!
P.S, The front desk staff was equally nice! Carol took time and was very patient with showing me how to put in, take out, and care for my contacts.

Have worn glasses and contact 35+ years since I was a little kid. Dr. Wilson took the extra time and attention to make sure my prescription was the best it could be. Got me to ²⁰⁄₂₀ where my last eye dr could only do ²⁰⁄₃₀.

I was in the area and needed an eye doctor at the last minute so I checked out Bear Creek Optometry. Dr. Wilson is great! He’s patient, considerate, and beyond helpful. He’s been doing this 40 years! So he knows what he’s doing, and at the same time he’s very current and up to date on everything, just like everything else in their shop!
There’s a wide selection of frames as well, they have hi-​end frames all the way down to an awesome budget line, which is what I went with; it’s the best deal! His wife Carole is so sweet and also very helpful. They’re running a great practice here and did you know they’re also organic farmers?! If you go here check out some of their wooden frame displays, they’re made out of organic avocado tree! This is an awesome and trust-​worthy shop.
