Gables Oak Creek

We lived in this apartment from Dec 2014 to June 2016. This place is great, awesome leasing manager. Liz (manager) is so helpful with my move out and actually throughout our stay. It’s very quiet here and beautiful apartment complex. The maintenance guy been so awesome and always on point with all our minor repair. Gables oak rocks! Thank you for everything!

AMAZING! Tbh i dont understand some of the reviews. I laughed at one cause i live on property and actually recognized one of the names that were complaining about dog poop. They were one of the ones ive seen not pick up after there dog haha guess you cant believe everything you read. Ive loved living here and wouldve renewed but my job moved me;[. My neighbors were amazing one was kinda loud but i let the office know, and they honestly didnt know they were being super loud but after calling the office it stopped. The dog poop can sometimes be ehh but thats with any animal friendly place ive lived at, and most in murrieta are animal friendly so good luck. I love the staff as most the reviews say they really are friendly, each with there own personality and way of handling situations. All in all i love and am sad to be leaving ;[

This place sucks ! Point proven been living here for almost two years. not family oriented at all. There is a bunch of problems but I do not know where to start. First of all Gables management sucks they are very rude when you have an issue with other tenants. Some of the tenants smoke weed and you could smell it all over the apartment complex. Loud music everywhere late at night. There are skeptical people around, like they are dealing drugs or doing something illigal. It’s been brought up to management but «can’t do anything about it» they say. Plus the very same people have parked in front of my garage and I tell them to please not to do that. The most recent time I arrived to park my garage 5 men came out and intimidated my wife and kid. Why does it take 5 freaking men to move a small car it’s ridiculous! Still management won’t do anything about that! I pay 130 extra for that garage I think I’m entitled to a little attention here. Plus parking sucks! People park in your parking spot that’s why I purchased a garage. The only positive about these apartments is the maintenance and working staff. Hopefully this is helpful to anyone who reads this. I would definitely NOT renew my lease and would NOT recommend to a family or friend !

Moving out next month; didn’t even hesitate on that one.
Maintenance staff is friendly, and they come and assist when – and if – they get dispatched.
Office staff is very hands off, and pushes all resident-​related complaints back to you to call security on your own. Otherwise, they just throw up flyers in an overly passive-​aggressive tone.
Grounds are smelly due to the residents not cleaning up after their pets (more often than not, the grass is covered in dog excrement. Parking is a scarce commodity around here, but they don’t do anything about that for several days after the fact.
Some douche was parked in front of one of the garage units, effectively blocking in anyone that may have been in the garages for the entire weekend. Wife called front office letting them know, and she was told, «You’re the first one to complain.» How about you get out and make a rounds of your damn complex each day?
Show some pride in your work, folks.
That was the third Penske in as many weeks, so I can imagine your crazy price hike is going over like a lead balloon.
Also: Just because the «market» decides to raise its prices to stupid amounts doesn’t mean you need to as well. That’s just greedy.

I find this place very homey and we like living here. Kids do play outside after school but that’s what kids do. I’ve always found Liz in office very sweet and eager to help. I like living here.

Rented here for a little over 1 year. They are nice until you give notice that you are leaving. THEN they billed me for new carpet when the carpet was in good condition. (The carpet was used when we moved in.) Make sure you do the final inspection with them. I did not thinking it would be ok due to the fact we left it very clean. They wanted to charge me over $ 1000 and I refused and now it’s on my credit. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

My husband & I lived here for a very short time do to his job relocating us to Florida :-(but we absolutely loved living at Gables Oak Creek! The staff & maintenance are awesome. When our ice machine stopped working maintenance was quick, kind and professional. Elizabeth helped us find our apartment. We’re newlyweds, 3yrs in, & still trying to make our start. Liz really made us feel welcomed and at home. We really did feel like we had found the right home for us to start our beginning. When Liz wasn’t available Brooke or Josh were; and they too were just as helpful & very welcoming. The only down side we had was our neighbors smoked & the dog poo that lazy dog owners refuse to pick up. It actually made us feel mad for maintenance to have to pick up after someone’s pet. SIDE RANT: (If you can’t clean up after your dog maybe you shouldn’t have one. I’d hate to see how your parenting skills are, full stinky diapers just laying around your apartment, ugh gross!!!) It’s not gables fault for having lazy pet owners & if you don’t want a $ 25 fee than clean up after your dog simple as that!
Overall, We enjoyed our home. I wish we could come back. I wasn’t ready to leave. Especially because of the dump we’re in now! :’(

STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!! They hate military. Staff is horrible with crap attitude. The manager Elizabeth Toscano treats people like crap. She asserts her dominance aggressively. They raised prices. The arbors down the street is better. The walls and ceilings are soo THIN! I can hear the baby upstairs crawling on the floor. I can hear people eating dinner next door. my neighbor next doors has her dog urinate underneath the stairs and it smells soo bad. They do not care. Its gross. They will threaten to sue the day lights out of you the day your one day late. Its like WTF! Relax. Most people here only live a year. They will increase your rent by 300 dollars afterwards too. Not a good long term place to live. If you end up here good luck. ⁰⁵⁄₂₀₁₅

I am pretty split on these apartments. I lived here for exactly one year.
I thought the staff was great, and the apartments were pretty nice for the price point.
My only two star review comes from three big ongoing issues we had while living here:
REALLY loud neighbors that we could literally hear all the time

Parking here is seriously horrible! You get one assigned spot (that people constantly park in anyways)
and all the uncovered parking is first come first serve, but there aren’t even enough spots for the people who live here!
I would recommend living here as long as you don’t have my stoner neighbors, you don’t mind noise, and your family only has one car.
But really, the staff here are really nice and helpful. I guess everything comes with the good and the bad

If I could give this complex no stars I would. When we moved in our carpets were never changed so we had this disgusting stain that kept creeping up and they tried to charge us at move out for it, yeah no. Kiss my butt Gables Oak Creek! The neighbor below us could be heard beating her kid at all hours of the day, the ladies in the office were nosey and kept trying to accuse us of having a cat-​we are not cat people, we heard other neighbors fighting/​crying outside, the parking spots are small and frankly this complex sucks. I would never live in another apartment complex again, did I mention their fire alarm randomly going off and waking the entire neighborhood up in the middle of the night several times? I hate you Gables Oak Creek I hope you get plowed down and turned into a shopping mall.

Worst apartment complex ever! I lived there for 3 years. The 1^st year everything was fine, then they moved in a family across from me that caused nothing but problems. The neighbor’s special needs son would stare into my apartment at all times of the night (even while my wife & children were sleeping), he would set off the family’s car alarm throughout the day and early morning hours, throw ice at people’s cars, and yell at the top his lungs at 2−3am…all while his mother was home; and she never did anything about it. The thing is, i work with children with behavioral issues and special needs, and things can be done to improve certain behaviors. But in this case, the mother let her children run wild, even leaving them at home on their own to wander the complex. The other 2 boys were even worse, constantly yelling, screaming, and fighting with each other. I felt like a prisoner in my own apartment, always having to keep the doors and windows closed due to the loud noises produced by the neighbors. The worst part is, these neighbors have been moved around the complex multiple times due to complaints made against them. Management did nothing to address the issues, and instead, suggested that we be the ones to move out… which included my 6 year old son and 2 month old daughter. The parking at the complex is horrible, and they move in the characters that you would not want near your family or your children. If you are moving in, i suggest that you do not move into apt 114 where i resided with my family, and had to deal with the worst neighbors ever right across the hall.

My lease with Gables Oak Creek is actually coming to an end. However, I would have to say that most of my husbands and my experiences with this apartment complex were nice. We had a few issues at first with our refrigerator and microwave not working and the maintenance crew kept telling us that nothing was wrong (despite losing an ENTIRE fridge worth of food), but as soon as we contacted the front office and told them our concerns they took care of the issue right away and our faulty units were replaced.
I would have to say that my favorite thing about this apartment complex is that it is quite. We almost never heard our neighbors, and when we did it was only when we were in the living room. Also that they give you a «pre-​move out inspection» where they come in and let you know which things to fix or clean before they do the real walkthrough.
My only recommendation to them would be getting a more extensive workout room since the one they have is a little lacking.

We have been very happy with this apartment complex. Great design of apartments, high quality, high ceilings, larger units. Good sized kitchen. Washer and dryers in all units. Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable and quick to respond. They have a 48 hour promise to repair anything, they even replace burned out light bulbs for free! It is nice that they have their in-​house repair man to quickly respond as well. I like that you get a mini paint kit on move-​in to touch up any nicks or scratches.
If you are not satisfied within first 30 days you can move out charge free, in 60 days you can switch to another gables property charge free. That says something about the company! Every quarter they have community events, mostly families go to — it seems this is a very family friendly place. I feel safe here. The only concern I have had is hearing neighbors above and below us. If you can, I would try to be on a top floor or first floor unless noise is not an issue for you, I think there could be more insulation between floors but its not terrible. It is still an apartment complex! It’s pretty quiet outside the apartments. People seem to be pretty respectful of the noise level outside.
Bonus: I love the free coffee. tea, hot chocolate!

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! My husband and I lived in one apartment for almost a year with little to no problems. We keep to our selves, never complained and always had great things to say, till these new people moved in below us and after that we had nothing but harassing emails on a daily basis about false accusations being mad against us! These people would complain about things occurring when we weren’t even home! So the Managment thought they would «do us a favor» and MOVE US! So we thought okay our lease is going to be up, why not? So we did, since we’ve been in our new apartment, the kids who live above us have been caught trying to hop over in our balcony to steal my daughters toys! Plus the noise and pounding that goes on up there makes my light fixtures move around like there’s an earthquake! Then last week our flippin’ front door mat got stolen! I’ve had this door mat for TWO years now, my husband found it two stories above us and when he informed Managment they told him they would take care of it AND THEY DIDN’T! Then today they tell me that I can’t just go around accusing people of stealing, I got that door mat from a close out store! Last of its kind TWO FLIPPIN’ years ago!!! I highly doubt anyone else has it! And dont get me started on the parking! I can’t even come home from work and park in my assigned spot that already two buildings away from where I live BC there’s always some big ass truck blocking me! And when I call Managment they tell me there’s nothing they can do!!! Really?!? REALLY?!? I’m done with this place! Can’t wait to move the eff out! HAD IT!

Horrible!!! While my two roommates and I lived there we had endless problems. On three different occasions we had problems the costed over 2,000 each to cover. One car broken into and the sound system was stolen, second car attempted hijacking and stolen belongings, third occastion vandalism to the outside of the car. On each of these occastions we made a report to the office, they told us that it was a random act of violence and nothing could be done. When we asked if they could either up the night watch or put up cameras they told us that they didnt want to creat a false sence of security!!! When we asked for a garage they told us that we would be put on the waiting list but it was $ 80 a month to have one. When I told them that other people living in the apartments had told us about their cars being messed I was extreemly upset that they did nothing… Not once did a manager step in to try and help the situation but left her rude staff to do nothing. Not to mention they slammed us with a $ 700 move out bill…
