History

Established in 2015.

With the joy of serving numerous happy dogs at our successful McCarren Park location (Happy Dogs at McCarren Park), we opened this facility to bring happiness to the dogs of southside of Williamsburg.

Jennifer C.

Business Owner

Jennifer has made caring for dogs her life’s ambition after working all over the world as a corporate mergers and acquisitions lawyer in New York, London, and Hong Kong. She’s been active with animal-​related non-​profits for years, including as a volunteer dog walker for the elderly in London and New York and as an advocate for animal rights with the New York City Bar Association. Above all, Jennifer loves to make dogs and their owners happy.

Love taking my pup Lucy to Happy Dogs. She never wants to leave– when I go to pick her up, she cries when she realizes it’s time to say goodbye to her pals! They take great care of Lucy and are very attentive. She comes home exhausted from a day of (safe) playing! The front desk staff is very kind and warm, and they all take the time to learn the dog’s names. Thank you Happy Dogs!

I could not be happier to leave my dog, Marzipan, with the crew at Happy Dogs (both the Southside and the McCarren park locations). She pulls on her leash the second we get close, and is sometimes too excited to go in to actually say goodbye to me. She loves all of the pack leaders and so do I! Thanks to everyone at Happy Dogs Southside for making doggy daycare such a great experience for both Marz and I!

Took my dog out after 2 days. Lacking in customer service and attentiveness. My dog actually wanted to leave. I saw him on the drop cam walk over to the exit and sit there waiting to go. That’s not typical behavior for him. Also the place reeks of bleach. I’m glad they keep it clean, but not glad that they don’t use pet friendly cleaners. My dog is super sensitive to any chemicals, I didn’t want him around it. I also saw something questionable on the drop cam and when I asked to speak with the «pack leader» about what happened, I was told I could not. Then the girl who sits up front (who doesn’t work with the dogs) gave me a ton of excuses none of which were relatable to the incident. And while this may be a coincidence, that same night, my 2 year old dog had a seizure and had to be rushed to the hospital.

Been a very happy client for over 5 years at their McCarren Park location and now I have the option to take my pooch to their South Williamsburg location as well. The service is first rate and the facilities are clean and safe. They know all the dogs by name and have the funniest Facebook + Instagram accounts. They love your dog nearly as much as you do! I trust them explicitly and have never had any issues at either location.
