What can I say? I’ve never known so much ways to eat peanuts! Impressive selection and it’s delicious! How did know? they have free tasting on their best-sellers! Love the Jalapeño pepper-flavored peanuts!

This is the place to go if you want to buy peanuts! I have never seen so many different flavors of peanuts in my life — peanuts with chocolate, spices, honey, etc. The nice thing about this is that you can sample all of them before buying. This is a good place to buy a gift for someone back at home, because the locals seem to be as proud of their peanuts as their ham biscuits(but the peanuts are much better!)

«Awesome peanut selection in Merchant Square, by Colonial Williamsburg» Every time I go through Williamsburg, I always make a stop by the peanut shop. They have more than 30 varieties of REALLYGOOD flavored peanuts(crabtown, habanero, wasabi, dill pickle, various chocolates, and more) and other nuts too. What’s wonderful is that each variety has a sample sitting out for you to taste, so you can go through the«peanut buffet» and then decide which you’d like to purchase in this trip. They come in various size boxes, too, so you can get small ones back for coworkers as mini– gifts and large ones to munch on yourself(or vice versa). Most of the employees are nice and helpful, but there are a few I’ve seen who(understandably) seem annoyed if they think people are just there to get some free food with no intention to purchase something. I always love the ones I buy and am sad when I finish my boxes and have to wait for the next trip to Williamsburg to get more. They do offer a discount to William & Mary students, so let them know if you are one. Overall, love this place– happy to give 5 stars!

The selection is good. However, I tried to make a 6 dollar purchase and the cashier refused the sale since I would not show identification. There is no reason to demand identification, and it is in fact against the terms of service for MasterCard and Visa so long as the credit card is signed.

Huge variety of nuts, snacks, sweets and more! Although many of the products are unique to the Peanut Shop, there are many others that are from other brands and rather overpriced. The shop is cute, and I love all their delicious samples. If a particular flavor doesn’t have samples out, you can ask an employee if you can try a few and they’ll get some out for you. Not cheap, but they can have decent sales. If you’re looking for uniquely flavored nuts or malt balls, then I’d recommend buying them from the Peanut Shop. Otherwise, if you’re looking for just regular peanuts, nuts or other products they carry that are not their own brand, maybe look around elsewhere to compare prices.

They have a huge selection of delicious peanuts, most of which are available to sample. I sampled most of them and then bought a big can of spicy Mole’ seasoned peanuts. They also have a ton of candy, a few cashews, and bunch of other things. They are conveniently located near the parking structure.

Fun little shop in Williamsburg to get candy and peanuts, other assorted canned goods. Lots of samples! Tourist prices, but worth the stop.

Don’t go in here hungry or you’ll eat just about every sample they have out! The Peanut Shop has a wide variety of nuts, sauces, dips, jams, honies, and more, and just about everything is out there for sampling! The wasabi and dark chocolate were two of my favorites, but we enjoyed just about everything we tried.

Have to say that I really liked this little shop of peanuts. It was this adorable little haven of nothing but nuts. There were tons of samples(if you’re not the germaphobe type) and also lots of cute little gift items. The nuts are actually scrumptious and come in lots of flavors and types. Definitely worth a visit.

Awesome place to pick up gifts for friends and family while you’re traveling in Williamsburg! Deliciously flavored peanuts with a wide selection to please any palate. This is a fun place to visit because you are allowed to sample the different varieties of nuts as well as sample specialty sauces and hand creams. In addition to their notable variety of nuts, you can also purchase preserves, jams, jellies, artisan crackers, honey and even some knick nacks here. There are price points to suit any budget. Some cans of peanuts range in price from $ 10-$ 14 depending on the size of the can. They had a great selection of honey starting at $ 8. I think I ended up buying honey at the Candy Shop instead. Very friendly and helpful staff also. I visited the Peanut Shop to look for Apple Butter, but was not able to find any within the shop. A clerk was able to tell me where to go to find some nearby! Even if you don’t end up purchasing anything, you’ll enjoy your time browsing. Duck in to beat the heat — I bet you won’t leave empty handed!

This place is awesome if you are the person who goes nuts over nuts. They have different varieties of peanuts(and also other nuts), ranging from very spicy to the sweet(chocolate) one. I picked some spicy peanuts from here. You could actually walk into the store just to sample their peanuts and leave with your stomach filled. They do have some interesting stuff that would add to your home décor. The lady at the counter were nice and would swiftly replace an empty peanut trial box with another. The peanuts are pricy but it is good to carry some back home. Not to mention its goodness on a long drive back home :)

A great tourist shop. They have over 50 different types of flavored peanuts for sale and you can try samples of all of them. You really fill up trying 50 different types of peanuts. I ended up getting a huge container of wasabi flavored peanuts. But they had everything from crab to sweet caramel flavors.

TONS of peanuts… in every flavor you can imagine… from honey roasted, brittle, to chipotle, wasabi, honey mustard, chipotle, dill, and TONS of others flavors, all of which you can sample! They also have various nut butters too… I got so full after walking out of the store… it was a lovely experience, especially if you love peanuts!!! Great gifts!

I hate to admit this but I actually imagined bringing my friend here who’s deathly allergic to peanuts just to see him squirm. Does this make me a bad person? Well if it does, I don’t give a crap. I really enjoyed this place, particularly since I was raised on PB&J sandwiches. There are about a thousand varieties of flavored peanuts, including my favorites: chocolate covered, honey mustard, and plain original. All great for snacking. There’s also tasty jams, and my favorite moment had to be the playful salesman helping people discover their desired peanuts. He was a hoot.

I dropped in here with family to pick up some nuts to bring home. The selection is huge. I was not sure what to buy. Also, they have lots of samples all over the place to try. You could get full just trying all the different free samples. It is a little tight and since it is in Williamburg, it can get a little busy.

You literally could make a meal out of the samples here. They have every kind of flavored nut, plus the glazed and chocolate nuts. Tons of candy and jams and dips and cooking sauces everywhere. Great place to buy gifts for your mom or anyone else. You try enough samples you feel guilty and have to buy their stuff even if a bit expensive.

Complimentary samples galore! Nice variety of nuts, candies and more. Nosh your way from back to front(or front to back) and select your favorite. Thumbs up: variety, snacking fun.

This place works due to a simple simple formula: free samples + great selection = 5 stars. The dark chocolate almonds and cashews were especially delicious. On your tour of Colonial Williamsburg, the Peanut Shop is a fun place to get a taste of Southern Virginia. They feature a huge selection of plain nuts, chocolate dipped nuts, and creative spreads. This is a great place to find a gift for a special occasion or Christmas. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They are also very solicitous of those who stop by to graze on the samples, encouraging you to try different kinds until you find something you like.

All things nuts! You’ve got to check this place out, even if it’s just for a quick walk-thru. Never have you seen more varieties and different flavored nuts. Plenty of free samples for the taste testing. They also have a nice selection of unique salsa’s, chow chow and chutney.

Five stars for free samples… you can pretty much eat your fill without spending a dime. Now that I’m not a college student, I actually have begun purchasing products when I’m in the ‘burg. Good stuff.
