Sterling Events is a full-​service Destination Management Company and Meeting Planning firm. We can negotiate your meeting and handle all of your planning and event coordination with the hotel and venues, or we can simply coordinate and execute your added elements to your program, such as ground transportation, airport meet-​and-​greet, florals, linen, décor, themes/​props and entertainment.

We have twenty-​five years of experience in and around the Williamsburg area, as well as across the country and around the world with our various corporate clients. We welcome the opportunity of working with you and your meeting/​event.

History

Established in 1990.

Owner, Ms. Lee MacLeod worked for the official hotels of Colonial Williamsburg and Kingsmill Resort and noticed a need for a true DMC — someone to organize, coordinate and execute the added details important to creating a successful and memorable meeting/​event.

As executives of the various groups experienced the professionalism and expertise, she was asked to take over their meeting planning — from site selection, to contract negotiations, to full execution of the programs. Over the years, word-​of-​mouth has resulted in Sterling Events growth in the number of meetings, events and incentive travel programs, domestically and internationally.
