Willington Public Library is one of my very good public libraries in Eastern Connecticut and It’s very local which nearby Vernon and Tolland. This building is almost 10 years old in Willington but it’s beautiful, lovely, and goregous in the Willington community. At the library, We have an very good selection of paperbacks, Young Adult Books, Children’s Books, Videos and DVD’s, and Music CD’s. We have an ongoing book sale which is known as The Friends of Willington Public Library Bookstore. At the bookstore, We have Used Paperbacks, Hardcovers, and Children’s Books in Used Condition. Prices may be differently with the books. This Bookstore is Really Cool but it’s similar with other used bookstores. Atmosphere is Great, Free Wi-Fi is Awesome, The Staff was Very Nice and Helpful, and then, The Community Room looks Great at Willington Public Library. I will come back to Willington Public Library with my brothers very soon.

Folks, if you live in Willington, you already know that this building is only a few years old(opened in 2006). Willington Public Library Association has been around for a long time. That’s what the odds for! It’s been about over 3 years since the last time I’ve visited there. It’s the same building for me. Why? I’m not a resident and I rarely go to this library. Why do they have children’s videocassettes and DVD movies in the Adult Department? That’s odd! May be there’s not enough room for these in the Children’s room. May be these movies are numbered in their shelf. There’s an okay collection of books(Paperbacks and Young Adult selections are very good). They also carry good selection of Audiobooks, Movies(Children’s movies are shelved oddly!), Music CDs, Magazines, and more. I really like their interiors around! They’re comfortable. They still have an Children’s room with a good collection of materials except movies. The staff was nice and helpful for me. The staff has a great encouragement and a lot of positives for their needs. Whenever you find a book or you have a trouble using computers, staff is always helpful. There’s also a bookstore where you can buy anything for a minimum price. I will still come back, but I’d give it another year or two.

Very nice building, very loud staff. Impossible to read due to four women conversing loudly behind the counter about — wait for it — the weather in New England. Extremely inconsiderate, I couldn’t believe it. I might have complained had they acknowledged my presence. Of course it didn’t come to that.

They got it right Willington, Ct isn’t a large town, only about 6,000 people and what served as the public library was just a room tucked away in a middle school. Something hardly unexpected for a small town with lots of trees and rocks but not many houses. However the town decided they needed a real library and since they were going to have to build it from scratch why not have something special. Why not indeed. The new Willington Library is amazing. Absolutely stunning inside and out. It’s obviously a new building so it doesn’t have the archaic charm of many of the old and historic libraries in the area but just because it is new doesn’t mean it has to be boring. The architects did a great job making a building that is both very functional, user friendly but also aesthetically beautiful. I love how the structure looks from the outside, with the flowing lines that makes the library seem much larger than it actually isl That is not to say it’s a small library because it isn’t. Lots of room on the inside so everything is spacious and not crowded. So many places to find a spot and relax without anyone around to bother you. Some chairs are even tucked into between large plants so you have to read with leaves in you face. All the modern library conveniences are available plus a wonderful kid’s room and meeting hall. The librarians were wonderful and seeing how proud they were of there library was infectious. It took a awhile for the town to finally get their new library but it was worth the wait because they sure got it right.
