History

Established in 2005.

Seeing a need and feeling called by God to begin a marriage and family ministry to partner with local churches while he was still a chaplain on military active duty, John founded Mighty Marriages Ministries in 2005. In July 2011, as John retired from the military, the ministry was incorporated as a 501©3 non-​profit, with the new name of «The Center for Mighty Marriages & Families» (CMMF).

Meet the Business Owner

John V.

Business Owner

John is a man with passion and experience for helping marriages and families not just survive, but thrive. He is the President and Executive Director of The Center for Mighty Marriages & Families, in Conroe, Texas. He retired from the US Air Force as a Chaplain, serving a combat tour in Iraq and countless temporary duty assignments. He is an ordained minister and has served 20+ years in the military & local church, including Senior Pastor (civilian) and Senior Protestant Chaplain (military). He is also the author of the newly released book, The Surrender Paradox.

John has a MA degree in Theological Studies and a Master of Divinity degree, specializing in Pastoral Counseling, and is a doctoral candidate in Marriage and Family Counseling. He is a Board Certified Christian Counselor and trained civil and family law mediator and arbitrator.

John is certified in numerous marriage enrichment programs, including CMMF’s own Mighty Marriages Foundations.
