Great service. Devonte greeted us as we came in. We were picking up an order and he got it quickly, let us try on the items and had us sign and leave all quickly and with pleasantness.

I am in total agreement with the other reviews about this business, and I should have listened to them rather than going to this store. Joseph A Banks reminds me of those car dealers that put up advertisements that promise a lot in practice but provide a much different reality. I always heard the commercials from this store where one can buy something here and get two items free. Right away that should tell people that this store has some sort of bait and switch game going on because no one gives anything away for free.
I agree with one of the reviews below that these folks will do their best to upsell you whenever possible. Even if you are just walking in for something basic they will try to get you to buy the stuff that is $ 300+ no different than one of those high pressure car salespeople. It really bothers me how they twist your arm to get your personal information for their company database which I find objectionable especially nowadays with all the data breaches that are going on at all sorts of retail stores. I am really concerned on how pushy these folks are on getting personal information like telephone numbers and addresses. It bothers me a lot that these folks do not listen what the customer wants but instead tries to sell them things they do not need. The thing that really had gotten me upset was they did not make clear that there is an additional cost for alterations. The salespeople definitely were not upfront about how much alterations would cost and the turnaround time for alterations. The game they play at this store is that the suits and pants are not totally finished, and you need to use their tailor or some other tailor to complete the piece. It would not surprise me if the warranty for their product would be voided if an outside tailor is used. Even the tailor at this store was less than friendly, and she was not very patient or understanding.
The salespeople here are basically a bunch of young people who are driven by commission and who I do not think really know their product. They probably went for some quick training class giving them a cursory overview of their products and are suddenly told to start selling. Buying suits is not like buying casual clothes like tee shirts and blue jeans, and one has to get measured and fitted just right especially since suits are used for formal events. These folks just do not have the patience, knowledge, or motivation to take the time to explain how suits should fit and be worn. I had much better experience at large department stores rather than this store which supposedly specializes in formal wear.
Just to add one thing about the high pressure tactics, I really do not like how they try to make folks by accessories especially when one is just looking for a suit. Even when one makes it clear they do not want other things the sales staff will keep on asking which is annoying.
In short, don’t let the nice neighborhood and surroundings fool you into coming into this place. I would even go so far to say go to a department store because one would get much better service there than getting strong armed at this place to buy something one does not want. I especially do not like how there are a lot of hidden charges at this store, and one has to be like a lawyer trying to figure out what is included and what is not in the price. Buying clothing should not be an arduous process like negotiating for a car or real estate, and this place is so not worth the time. I would not take the time to write this review if I did not feel strongly about my experience there, and I really regret not listening to my fellow Unilocalers on this one.

Believe the other reviews, this place is AWFUL! This is one of my top worst customer service experiences ever.
We went to make an exchange when we walked in the store only had 1 other person and 4 people working there. We stood around for about 10 minutes waiting for assistance while the staff just walked around the store. They obviously saw us but decided to make us wait. We asked about the exchange and the looked around for a little bit picking out a new sweater.
Once we had decided what we were going to exchange we stood by the register waiting about 20 minutes for help, there was one person checking out a customer and the three other employees were just standing and talking. Once we finally got help we were told the manager would have to assist us and were directed to another register. The manager took his sweet time and we waited another 10 minutes while he was talking to another staff member. We were standing about 30 feet in front of his direct line of sight so he clearly saw us waiting.
He did apologize for the wait but it did not seem sincere at all. After he rung in our exchange, we owed about 4 cents. He said he would cover that for us since we had to wait… gee thanks! I would rather have paid the 4 cents than wait 30 minutes to make my exchange! It was more insulting than helpful, 30 minuets of my time is worth much more than 4 cents.
The store in the loop is 10x better, the customer service there is great. I will never make the mistake of coming here again. And the loop store apparently gets there stuff in several months before this store. The item we exchanged was purchased from the loop store about 2 months prior, and this store told us they had just got these items in.

This is the second time I have shopped here and been totally ignored. Apparently, they do not really want business. Considering their prices are not cheap, I would expect customer service on pare with their prices. This time my husband and I wandered around attempting to find him clothes. Not one sales person even acknowledged our existence. Next time, I’m going to Nordstom where they know how to do customer service right.

Worst salespeople in the planet. As soon as they know you want an exchange, they all hide in the back. Just pathetic. Twenty minute wait. Only 1 other customer on the floor.

An unmitigated disaster. Like a Monty Python skit about poor customer service, except this wasn’t funny.
I went in with my son, age 15, who needs a casual summer-​weight suit to wear to attend an upcoming family wedding. We went on a Sunday afternoon at about 1:45 PM. The store had MAYBE four people shopping in it. We were there at least 20 minutes before we managed to find a sales associate or have anyone offer to assist us. My son explained to the salesman that he needed to be measured for a suit. Despite the fact that they are in the middle of their large summer sale, the sales associate immediately took my son to a rack of suits that cost — literally — $ 895, and then asked him, «Are you actually going to be coming in here looking for a suit sometime soon?» So, that stopped me cold. HELLO? We are IN the store, clearly looking for a suit. I explained that while we needed a suit, I was not prepared to spend almost a thousand dollars on one for my son, especially since he is a child, prone to being hard on his clothing, and still growing rapidly. At this point — I kid you not — the sales associate simply walked away. And aside from telling my son that he wears «about a 36 suit» that was it. Obviously, if I wasn’t going to spend $ 895+ on a suit, he had no further use for us. After hunting around on my own, I found a size 36 suit on the sale rack and my son tried it on. It was WAY too small, so I don’t know what the salesman could have possibly been thinking. No one else offered to help us/​Finally my kid said, «This is awful. Let’s get out of here.» The lack of help he received made him feel really bad, actually.
Even though I live walking distance from the store, I will never step foot in there again. I cannot remember the last time I experienced such poor customer service. The clothes may be nice enough, but there are plenty of nice clothes in the world — some of which ar even found in stores where the salespeople are helpful and kind.

A toss of the coin — if you are lucky you get some wonderful folks to help you.
Else you get the cold shoulder or get serviced with an attitude.
