We have the largest selection of michael michaud SILVER SEASONS jewelry on the north shore. We carry items from ALESSI, and MICHAEL ARAM. SEDA candles are so fragrant you don’t even have to light them to catch their scent. There is a huge selection of PYLONES gift items from Paris. Hair brushes, and lady cheese graters are most popular. There is a collection of soap, bubble bath, perfume and lip balm in the most eye catching designs. At holiday time we have fabulous music boxes of all kinds. We are known for our large collection of antique majolica pottery, and silver dresser jars. The entire back room is dedicated to kitchen utensils, mixing bowls and tools, that are colorful and whimsical. Everything in the shop is handpicked with an eye for design and function. History

Established in 1978.

After Art School at the Art Institute of Chicago, I started my own business called the Porcelain Doctor. I learned how to repair and restore broken china objects while working at Marshall Fields downtown store. I can repair decorative items, such as figurines and vases and any items that are not used for dinnerware. We can also repair, ivory, jade, rose quartz, and other materials. In 1978, I opened my first shop in Skokie where I sold Antique Majolica pottery, Antique Jewelry, Quimper from France, and Silver dresser jars and serving pieces. I moved to Wilmette a few years later to focus on the Antique business. My shop was at the corner of Lake and Greenbay for 23 years when I moved to my current location at 1143 Greenleaf ave. I added many lines of giftware to the mix and can now offer something for almost everyone. Once of my customers said when she walked into my shop it was like a trip down the magic rabbit hole. Everything in the shop is well designed and colorful.

I am known as the Porcelain Doctor, for over 33 years restoring broken porcelain and ceramics. I am also the sole buyer for my well stocked shop. I really enjoy the buying aspect of my business and I get a great deal of satisfaction when I sell items that I have personally selected.
