I had two error codes causing a check engine light. Hector took one look at the codes and gave me an accurate fair estimate. The job was done right and on time and I will be coming back in the future due to the great experience. The only thing that would be a negative would be the limited parking due to how popular this place is. Thank you Hector for a great job!

When it comes to auto repair, anything beyond simple tire pressure or fluid checks is waaaaaay beyond my area of expertise. For that reason, I rely solely on auto repair professionals. The challenge is finding a trustworthy mechanic who does good work.
I’ve been a satisfied customer of Bob’s Auto Maintenance for many years. My dad actually took me there when I was in high school. I went away to college and moved back to the South Bay… and I’ve been a customer ever since!
Bob (and Hector) are honest guys who won’t gauge you just to make a buck. They know their stuff — and they guarantee their work.
Auto mechanics are like physicians for your vehicle. Sometimes an accurate diagnosis can only be obtained after ruling out the likely problems. 1 star only because the guys were so nice. I had to take my car in this particular shop because that is where my warranty place sent me. I knew my car needed a starter and took my car in. I told them my starter needed to be replaced. The guy asked me, how do you know? I guess cause I am a female. Anyway he wanted to prove me wrong, I guess and he told me no no its the battery. Hmmm I’m thinking, my lights are working, my radio is working, I don’t think so. They reassured me it’s the battery and I needed a new one. it’s not covered under warranty it’s $ 166. Of course my starter to be replaced was only $ 100…do the math. So I said ok, if you say so. They replace the battery and I go to work. After work, I go to start my car and guess what, my car doesn’t start. It’s the starter. Needless to say I will never go back there and wouldn’t trust these guys. I took my car to the place I know and absolutely trust. …CAR FIX NOW in Palms!

Was appointed by Drivetime warranty Aeverex. To my surprise, i wasn’t the only Drivetime car that was in for work. In my head, I was thinking this place is gona suck just like the car Drivetime sold me. To my surprise its a great shop. Friendly, honest mechanics. I came expecting to leave my car for a few days for the work to be done. Luckily the problem I had was something they specialized in and after a few hours, I drove home a happy camper, without having to get picked up. I live in Bellflower so this place wasn’t close but in the end, quality and customer service was great. I was even offered a ride home by the shop, but I couldnt accept. Their honesty and customer service was all I needed. Bob, Hector, and the other mechanics, keep it up. I will refer you to anyone.
Not 5 stars only and only because, the wait area could be a bit more pleasant. Thats the only thing but thats just nit picking.

best place ever! was told I needed 2 new catalytic converters for $ 3,500 in order to pass the smog test on my 2003 VW passat wagon (check engine light was on). Went to Bob’s and worked with Hector after several recommendations from co-​workers adn he said I had 2 bad Oxygen sensors and a vacuum leak — $ 500! And he tested me for the smog test to make sure I would pass!!!
Don’t get me wrong, this place is out of the way — I work in El Segundo and live in Westchester but he literally saved me $ 3k!
