Dogtopia Daycare & Spa

We love this place for our dog! We tried a few other doggy day camps in the past and they were all ‘nervous’ about our pup being a pitbull mix, but when we called Dogtopia they didn’t hesitate to say any breed is welcomed. The staff all knows the dogs by name and ours is always happy when she starts and ends her day there, and more importantly, tired! You won’t be disappointed.

We’ve been bringing our dog here for four years and each time have been impressed by the wonderful play and care environment they provide for the dogs. Our girl can’t wait to get there — she somehow intuits when she going — and comes home exhausted after a day’s play. The separation of bigger and smaller dogs certainly helps to ensure that small dogs aren’t accidentally stepped on or injured. Our dog is an 80 lb. sweety but with dogs play, size matters! She only sees or meets dogs on her walks, so getting to go wild with other pups her size is her biggest treat. Every person at Dogtopia is outstanding and helpful. In the beginning, we visited similar facilities and are convinced that Dogtopia is the very best of all options. New paint, in and out, and the front desk are terrific. Helen and staff — spectacular people!

They are nice people, and my dog likes it there. But they screwed me over money multiple times. The first time, they charged me for 3.5 days even though my dog had only been there 2.5 days.
The other time, they insisted that I would get the 5 day pass so I would pay less. I got the pass, used 3 days of it, and the next time I went there they said the pass was used up! and that they couldn’t find it on their records!
Also I would call them to book for boarding, they would say it’s OK and I can bring the dog over. Then when I got there they would say that there’s no reservation.
It’s a shame that such potentially good environment is so inefficiently managed and run that makes customers leave and never look back.

I took my dog there for the first time, I checked in on the webcam throughout the day everything appeared to be going great. When I went to pick my dog up he seemed in good spirits. We got in the car he went to look out the window his backside and legs were completely covered in feces. He was filthy and he reeked of urine.
I contacted the owner and was told that the employee who turned him over to me combed him out before giving him to me and saw nothing on him. He was definitely not combed out and had several mats in his fur. The feces was dried and crusted into his fur so it was not a case that he was excited and pooped in the car as the owner suggested. They did not seem to believe me although I provided several pictures with my email.
I would not feel comfortable using or recommending this service to anyone. I should have taken him back to show them however I am pregnant covered in feces and just wanted to get him and myself home and cleaned up.

My dog LOVES Dogtopia! The staff is lovely and really seems to care about each dog. The webcam makes for adorable work breaks. My pup comes home nice and tired after a long day of playing with his friends.

Was very frustrated with this place after a week stay. They charged me the wrong amount, low on their end, and then weeks later told me I owed more, seemed very disorganized. Also my dog left with fleas and very sick :(We used to love this place but after the horror we dealt with coming home from our vacation we will not be retuning :(

We love Dogtopia! I have been taken my 1 year old pug mix here for about six months and could not be more pleased. When we pull into the parking lot, she knows exactly where we are going and can hardly contain her excitement. The owner is always there to greet you and knows all the dogs personally! I feel extremely comfortable leaving my pup here for the day, knowing that she will get the exercise and socialization that she needs while I’m at work. When it’s time for pick up, she is tuckered out! She spends the evening sleeping and I am able to get things done around the house. We try and go to Dogtopia 2 days a week but I think she would be just fine going there every single day!

Roxy was tired after her first ½ day at Dogtopia! And she obviously had a fabulous time making friends and playing rough all morning!
The staff is both so flexible and accommodating. They also put up with my pre-​Dogtopia anxiety — I thought Roxy would be concerned about being left for the day, as she had been abandoned at the shelter twice, but she was nothing but pleased to go explore Dogtopia. Upon entering the building she got that look which says, «There are DOGS here!» and went into play mode. It’s obvious that Roxy knows the proper use of Dogtopia and we’ll be visiting often when I’m working.
Everyone was just lovely — and the Dogcam to watch while I can’t be there is pretty fabulous! (and fun — my coworkers like watching it when they need a break)

I live in New York City, but was down in Delaware for my wedding earlier this summer. We wanted our best friend Scooby to be involved in the ceremony, but, obviously, he couldn’t attend the reception dinner. The people at Dogtopia were nice enough to come pick up Scooby at the wedding site between the ceremony and the reception, despite the fact that they don’t generally do pick-​up/​drop offs. And they didn’t even charge me extra. Plus, because Scooby is a rescue dog, he got a free day of daycare, so I only wound up having to pay for boarding.
The people there were unbelievably nice, accommodating, and from what I can tell, Scooby seemed to really like it there. The staff he met really seemed to love the dogs. Sure, perhaps places in bigger cities might have longer hours, or greater convenience, but the people at Dogtopia really went above and beyond to make Scooby, and me, feel good about him going there.

Have helped a friend take his dog here for the past few months. While Dogtopia isn’t the most cutting-​edge doggy daycare, they offer all the basics plus some. Live cams allow the client to check on their pupp from home or work, staff is attentive and friendly, hours are flexible. We’ve used both the daycare and boarding services extensively at this point and being fussy over the pup and his well being, we’ve both extremely happy with the service we’ve received.
Dogtopia doesn’t offer pick-​up & drop-​off service so as they grow, we’re hoping this will become part of their business model.

I’ve been taking my pug pup here for one or two days per week for the past couple of months and have been pretty pleased by this establishment. After 8 hours at Dogtopia my little guy is tuckered out, which gives me an opportunity to relax in the evening. Dogs are placed in one of two different rooms, based upon the size and/​or energy level of the dog. A staff member supervises each room and you can peek in on your dog during the day via the Dogtopia web cam.
A big plus about Dogtopia is that no advance reservations are required for daycare. You can just show up unannounced. Weekday hours are 7AM-​7PM. It would be great if later pickup hours were an option, but 7PM is usually sufficient. Unfortunately Dogtopia only provides limited hours for daycare on Saturday (10AM-​5PM) and no daycare on Sundays. Dogtopia also provides boarding and grooming services.
The staff is always friendly and attentive; they seem to take a personal interest in every dog. Given how excited my guy gets every time I pull into the parking lot (he can’t get out of the car quickly enough), I would venture to guess that he much prefers to spend a day at Dogtopia rather than staying home alone in a crate listening to «The View» on TV.
I’ve never used a doggy daycare service before, so I can’t compare Dogtopia to any of its competitors, but based on my experience I give Dogtopia two paws up!
