Phenomenal job of installing my XM radio. It looked like it was a factory install. Very courteous and very quick.

I had a unique experience trying to get an auxiliary port installed for my girlfriends son’s car for Christmas. He has a 1999 Ford Taurus Sh 0 with a unique dash plate with digital factory climate control, so installing a regular stereo with an auxiliary port was impossible because you could not get a dash plate. After a couple of weeks of internet research, and calling all of the other more established audio dealers in Wilmington with unenthusiastic results, or attitudes like they could care less about my business, I talked to Vinny at go audio. His enthusiasm, professionalism, and product knowledge were exceptional. As soon as I told him what I had, he replied «oh yeah… The one with the football shaped dash plate! «so I knew he knew what he was talking about right off the bat instead of the other people’s reactions acting clueless. I went there yesterday, and had it installed for a very reasonable price… The installation was fast, neat, and it sounds great. I made a 17 year old boy really happy! I understand go audio had different owners at one time that really did crummy work and treated people bad. The new owners, manager, and staff are excellent. I will definitely do business with Go audio and refer them to friends in the future. Thanks Vinny… You be the man!

The owner is a professional con-​artist. Told me the wiring of my stereo was wrong, so i paid for them to re-​wire it… they crossed negatives and positives and almost caused my car to light on fire. They burnt out not ONE, not TWO, but THREE head-​units (which i paid for) due to the wiring mistake on their part… all the while telling me the «head-​units were faulty to begin with» (100% false). $ 800 later i chose to wash my hands of them and simply find another, more trustworthy, audio shop. I WOULDN’T EVEN LET THESE GUYS HOOK UP YOUR HEADPHONES TO YOUR IPOD… that’s how horrible they are.

Beware of going to this business for anything! The owner Rob is a thief and a liar! And so is his now ex-​employee Patrick. My story begins with my 2004 Monte Carlo in need of new speaker grills for my rear deck. Now about a couple of months earlier I had already replaced one of them at Jeff Gordon Chevrolet (which they no longer make or sell). Now I told Patrick that when they take out the right side one that I want it because I can sell it. So what does he do? Without my knowledge or permission Patrick sells my brand new speaker grill to some junk dealer and replaces mine with 2 broken speaker grills! Jason installed them and he does this without any remorse or shame. Now I paid $ 50.00 for this junk and upon discovering this I called the store and talked to both Pat and Rob. For almost a month I got the run around about this. I wondered if they would ever make it right. Patrick tells me they found a company where I could get 7×10 speaker grills and when they come in I would not have to pay anything. Today I got the new ones installed and lo and behold there is a $ 59.00 charge. Rob gets an attitude with me about it even though I tell him why I think there should not be any charge. I learned that Patrick no longer works there, but they call him and then they tell me it was a mis-​communication. I left the store in a huff and letting them know this all amounted to bad customer service.
