I come to the Golden Ginger pretty often and every time the food and the service is great. However, the gentleman working the hostess station on 1÷11÷2016 was incredibly rude when I came in to order a meal to go. I honestly have no idea were his hostility towards me came from but it was completely unnecessary and really unprofessional. If I hadn’t been picking up a meal for my boyfriend I would have walked out.

The food here is amazing. Whenever my wife and I don’t feel like cooking, we order from golden ginger and have never had a bad experience. I would recommend this place to everyone I know.

I know some of this food isn’t authentic Chinese but I really enjoy the apps here. The crab Rangoon are delicious! We also like to get the PuPu platter. I always say I need to try the Japanese items on the menu soon. We usually take out but have been in a few times as well.

I’ve mostly had take out, but the times I’ve eaten in were really great. The restaurant is bigger than you expect and the servers are nice. Plus they have a bar so you can get some cocktails. I am picky about chinese food and Golden Ginger sure won me over. My favorite items are the Crab Rangoon (YUM), the egg foo young, the chicken wings, and the garden greens (OMG the sauce is yummy). Their duck sauce is sweet just like I like it. I’ve had a couple of sushi rolls and they were good. And my boyfriend, who has lived in the area forever, has a discount card, so we always save!

im a regular here, but you wont ever see me here after 330pm… im all about their luncheon specials. both the Chinese food and the sushi! 2 suchi rolls with soup and a salad for under $ 10 is a steal anywhere! plus they always have $ 5 drink specials. so I love to go and get some affordable food and drinks. their drinks are ALWAYS good and always worth the money. my only complaint is that the portions are kinda small compared to other Asian restaurants. i like the ambiance. my bf says its too dark but i like it. i think it has a very «zen» feel. they also start you off with an order of asian «chips» with a duck sauce for dipping and they offer fried ice cream, which is a favorite of mine that is not offered everywhere
note — crab ragoons are bomb

Food is exceptional. However success has made them become cavalier toward their customers. When they first opened they would honor all their coupons regardless of expiration date etc. Now they include fine print to not honor the coupon like expiration dates an «good only Sunday though Thursday». I ordered $ 50 worth of food on Friday and they would not honor the $ 10 off. Not even the management would budge. I would suggest leaving the order on the counter or canceling the order so they get the message.

I ordered take out on 7÷10÷15. The food is always good, but the front desk service is the worst EVERYTIME I call in. Tonight took the cake. The young girl was short and had a bad attitude. She said ‚” 15 minutes” then I was saying «Thanks very much» but as soon as I started to speak, she hung up on me. No Thank You, Have a nice night, Thanks for spending $ 30-​$ 40 a week here. Tonight is the last night I will ever spend my money in this place.

Favorite sushi place! I get the romance rolls aka sweet potatoe ones. By far my favorite. Their Chinese food is also great. Not greasy you feel fine after, not that gross full feeling. Great place!

Every time I’ve eaten here for lunch it has been about the best chinese food I’ve ever had. Vegetables are fresh and food in general seems to be of excellent quality. Service is adequate for an hour lunch break.

Absolutely amazing!!! This restaurant has become our standard and compare all other locations to it. Not one restaurant of similar menu has come close. Great sushi, great crab and amazing Mongolian beef dinner! Delivery and in-​house service has been great. When my family and friends visit they always ask if we’re going here for a meal. Keep up the great food!

Home of the best crab rangoons in Wilmington! I also love their chicken lo mein, and sesame chicken with white rice – I get extra spicy. The food is always made fresh, and quickly! My only issue is that they’re my favorite, and they don’t deliver!

When Golden Ginger first came to Wilmington it was excellent.
But if you have any allergies or special diet needs, not the place to eat.
They are very uneducated about this area. All they offer is the steam dinners.
They didn’t even have gluteen free soy sauce until we requested.
The rest of my family can eat there without a problem and their meal is ok. It’s just their lack of knowledge for allergies which is unacceptable.

We found this place a week after moving to a nearby neighborhood. I am very happy we checked it out. The food was fresh and very tasty. Good menu choices of sushi, thai and chinese food. The service was good. and we found the prices average.
Best appetizer we had was the dumpling with spicy peanut sauce. We also got a scallop/​steak and vegi dish which was very good.
I would recommend trying the place. (we have been back 3 more times since moving here last month.)

I am obsessed with Golden Ginger. I have never ordered anything I didn’t absolutely love.
I have gotten take out, but I prefer to eat there and enjoy their drink specials! The scorpion bowls and the mai tai’s are my fave!
I love the sushi and the chinese food is delicious too. There is hardly ever a wait and the service is great!
The prices are affordable and they give you free wonton chips while you wait for your food, what more can you ask for?!

I ordered lunch takeout from Golden Ginger very recently. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is modern and clean. I ordered the L28 Lo Mein with Shrimp ($ 5.95 plus tax) served with choice of rice, choice of appetizer and choice of soup.
The food I had was very good. The lo mein noodles were cooked firm tossed with fresh vegetables (carrots, scallions, onions) and very soft shrimp. The fried rice (goldenrod color) had a firm texture with scallions, egg, and small pieces of roast pork. The 2 crab rangoons (folded on top) were crunchy outside, filled with a sweet crab cheese filling, not greasy. The hot & sour soup had a good mild spicy flavor.
The service was very prompt and I received my food order in under 10 minutes. I would definitely eat here again!
