Unilocal Challenge 2016. 114⁄116 The Misters car was having trouble so I went to Wilmington after work to pick him up and I was starving. Super duper hungry. My eyes popped open at the 2 words«Jacks» and«Donuts» So while he was inside the adjacent auto parts store I snuck inside Jacks. This is your very basic Donut shop. Your not going to find $ 3.00 candy topped or cereal filled treats. What you will find are your classic old school donuts you used to eat in the 80s. My crumb twist was super soft and gone in 30 seconds. Like I said I was hungry. For being a pretty basic donut it was super fresh. Since I’m nice. I killed the Misters diet and got him a apple fritter. He said it was good. He took his sweet time with it and finished it in about 10 minutes. Service was super friendly. Self serve drink case had Rockwell Chocolate milk, Nestle Strawberry milk, snapples, sodas, ect. 2 donuts cost about $ 2.00. Super cheap. A okay. #913

There are no good donut shops in Wilmington! The flies are more plentiful than the variety of donuts they have on their shelves. What donuts they do have, they look like they’ve been there for days. Not appetizing at all. Pass!

Best family donut service with reasonable prices! I love the cinnamon roll and the buttermilk donuts the best!

Jack’s is your typical small Indy Donut shop in a strip plaza, it hit them up about noon and selection was pretty limited but I got what I went in looking for so all is good with me! Apple Fritter($ 1.25/1.35?) Nice size fritter larger than many, sweeter than I’d like BUT you gotta see what’s inside nice, they don’t skimp on the apples… So close to being the perfect fritter to me, just a bit too sweet and could have used a bit more cinnamon, but love all the apples!

Another map screw-up or perhaps there are two Jack donut shops very close together. Use my link to get a better idea of the location I visited today. It is located WEST of Avalon Blvd. on the South side of PCH. Sign on door indicated«Jack Donut» 410PCH, not 408 as listed — maybe there are two. If anyone knows please advise. I needed a coffee & donut to get through the day. I drove past numerous opportunities but this one offered an easy access driveway. Had a «B» rating, but I found noting wrong with my coffee and bar type of donut. Sign also shows and I saw: Muffins, smoothies and Ice cream. They also had a limited selection of baked(not fried) offerings. Plus it was named after me. Cash Only and the sign indicated open 24 hours.
