Brought the car in for an oil change. Quick, easy, more than affordable. The staff was friendly and I was on my way earlier than I imagined I’d be. Kelly’s is exactly what I expect from an auto shop and judging by the certs on the wall they all know their stuff. Again, I was just in for an oil change, so I can’t judge on anything more but I’m pretty sure I’ll be back. MUCH easier and faster than the dealership down the road.

I love my car. Adore, even. It’s the best ride I’ve ever had and I’m planning on keeping it until, well, pretty much forever. (FWIW I own a 2000 Acura Integra.) I’ve had very few problems with it, so I haven’t been to many mechanics in my time, aside from your usual oil change and inspection.
But, when it started to give me problems late last year with an exhaust issue, it was time to take him in. Yes, it’s a him. And he can’t go to just any mechanic. I got a referral to Kelly’s by a coworker at the time, and called up to make an appointment. They were able to get my car in as soon as the next day! I was thrilled, as my car was behaving pretty loudly at the time, and I sounded like I belonged at the monster truck races.
I have since been back to Kellys twice — once for inspection and oil change, and I picked it up today from getting my calipers and brakes replaced (ouch) — and they have been wonderfully professional each time. Their rates seem reasonable for what’s being done, their service is impeccable, and Kelly really knows what she’s doing. I’m always impressed with the ability for my car to be seen either that day or, at most, the next. For someone who has an innate fear of car trouble (breaking down randomly in the middle of the road would be worse than death for me), this is a giant plus. When something needs to be done, they always give me a time frame of when the parts will arrive if they need to be special ordered, and I always get a very accurate estimate of what I’m looking at for the work to be done. They never try to push extra services or products on you, but if there are extra issues with your ride they will just let you know so you can keep an eye out, or deal with it as they come.
I really have nothing bad to say about these guys. Wait, let me think about it for a minute. … Nope, can’t think of anything. If you’re in the market for a great mechanic though, I can’t recommend them enough.
