History

Established in 1994.

We started in Dutchess County, NY in 1994 as a part time consulting firm, primarily doing software development, web sites and IT support. We formed the LLC in 2001 and have been working full time ever since. We’ve helped hundreds of businesses since then, mostly as an outsourced IT Department doing sales, support and service.

In 2013 we moved the business to Wilmington, NC. We love Wilmington and look forward to helping you with your next IT project!

Hi, I’m Kevin Vessio. I started programming computers in the pioneer days of the late 1970s, writing business and educational software for the first personal computers. In the early 1980’s, I worked as a systems developer/​software engineer and developed computer systems for Fortune 500 companies I worked for, Avon Products, Olin Corp and Norelco.

In the 1990’s, I began working with the early network operating systems, LANtastic and Novell. When Microsoft launched Windows NT things really changed and I was found myself fascinated with networking. I became an MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) and have been working with Microsoft networking ever since. In 1994 I started working as a part time independent IT consultant and in 2001 officially started KV Systems, LLC.

I moved to Wilmington, NC in 2013. Today, we help small businesses as an outsourced IT Dept. I think of my customers as business partners and always try to go the extra mile, as if their business was my own.
