«My manager said she’ll give you the large drink this time, but next time you have to prefer it!» This was said to me after being given a medium Coke when I asked for a large diet! It’s not a huge deal, but you’re a fast food restaurant drive thru – isn’t the customer always right? And furthermore – this isn’t the first time this manager provided rude service! I hate to write a terrible review about an $ 8 meal, but I was so offended that I was being made to feel like I was trying to steal $.69. Maybe the Burger King, Taco Bell, Wendy’s, Arby’s, Boston market, and wawa down the street can offer up better service to my close location!

Weekday morning with snow in the air, the drive through was backed up out to the road. So I went inside and got my Egg McMuffin and coffee. It was the right choice as I was back in my car before the person that would have been in front of me even placed their order! Crew was capable and efficient. Maybe not the fastest, but they were good and they got my order correct. And really, what more do you need?

It’s a McDonald’s. What else is there to say? However — several times that I’ve been here it tasted like they triple salted their fries. I don’t even know how this could happen once, but alas! To my horror, it’s happened many times! You can actually see the fries practically glittering with the overabundant salt crystals. Gross! Fix your salt game, Concord Pike McD’s!

I just ran up here on my lunch break. I ordered a #3(dbl qtr lbr w/cheese) with a large sweet tea. I also had to throw in 4 more sandwiches for co-workers(never tell people where you’re going). I got my food, paid my $ 10 and went on my way. Without checking the bag. Stupid I know. I got back to work and opened the bag to find NOFRIES! I mean really, how do you not put fries in? Then I went to take a delicious sip of my liquid crack, otherwise known as Sweet Tea. Guess what? Not sweetened. At all. No sugar. Okay, the burger was tasty and fresh but with no fries and bitter tea it was overall a pretty bad meal. And of course I can’t go back because I’m on the clock. So, I called them thinking that maybe they’ll give me a credit for tomorrow night. And they don’t answer the phone. Of course. Unfortunately, they’re the only thing open at 2am so I will likely go back but I will never leave without checking the bag and my drink. Lesson learned.

This has become quite possibly the worst McDonald’s in Northern Delaware. Let’s start with the layout. Either the drive-thru is too short or service is too slow at peak hours, so the drive-thru line regularly goes back out to US-202, blocking highway traffic. The parking area is small, tight, and possibly inadequate, although there is the option of parking at their management building next door. When I got there, someone was sweeping dirt from the front step. I have no idea why he scowled when he had to stop sweeping so I could enter the restaurant. The cashier is probably hard of hearing. I had to repeat my order 4 times before she got it right and she clearly was distracted the second time I said my order. And finally, the menu board pricing is not accurate. I ordered just one item and it rang up on the register 10 cents higher than the menu price. This is not excusable.

I ordered the McLobster Thermidor, McFilet Mignon, a bottle of McRed McWine, grilled Asparagus, Alaskan Salmon stuffed with chicken McNuggets, French Fries w/Foie McGras, and Citrus Honey Chile Pepper braised McDuck. It was simply incredible. The wait staff was unbelievable. My waitress was a beauty whose seductive dress, million dollar smile, eye catching shoes, and super nice demeanor made the whole experience world class. She opened the bottle of wine, lit candles, brought fresh baked McBread and — get this — even danced to show me the song playing was her favorite. It was incredible service.(My only qualm was she brought olive oil to dip the bread in but it appeared to be 2 year old fry oil, you know, the kind you deep fry things in.) The restaurant itself is magnificent. Thick plush carpet. Rich mahogany tables, comfy chairs, dark wood paneling. I loved the expressionist paintings on the walls. The only downer was the clown. There was an actual clown walking around, going table to table periodically making annoying conversation and trying to hit on the vivacious waitresses. He called himself Ronald. By his 4th visit to my table I told him to get lost. At one point he rubbed the back side of my waitress and she punched him in the face. He said«hey tough crowd, no literally, get it?(making a muscle) tough crowd.» Ridiculous blemish on a fine evening of solo dining.

I drive home to my parents fairly often and I find myself usually getting the munchies upon arrival into DE, which is about another 45 min — an hour from my parents.’ I’ve stopped here a many occasion. Drive thru is nice and quick and going in to the counter hasn’t delayed me too much, especially when the drive thru looks backed up. The food is pretty standard for McD(3 stars). +1 star for the service. Even when it was my fault for the misorder(as was the case last month), they fixed it for me and gave me what I meant to order, but didn’t(it was the same price as what I ordered but didn’t mean to)
