History

Established in 2006.

Hunter started Momentum in Kill Devil Hills, NC around 2001 with a few custom surfboards and t-​shirt designs. Business opportunities relocated Momentum to Wilmington, NC and Hunter opened a retail store downtown in May 2008. The Momentum logo was created after a burn from an old school stove. The logo looks just like the burn on Hunter’s hand.
