Purchased a 2010 Honda Fit from George, 5 years later still runs like new I bought a new car for half the price!

I have bought 2 cars from George, a 2010 Honda & 2010 Prius. It has been 4 years now and both vehicles run like new. I had a small issue with the Prius and he took care of it at no charge. Both cars had been registered salvage, but obviously he did a great job in repairing them. Even registered as salvaged, the resale value is not much less than what I paid originally. I will buy from him again.

I have purchased a 2010 Acura and later a 2013 Prius C from Shoreline and am still satisfied 5 months later. They fixed some things with the Acura I pointed out, even something after the purchase. Of course most salvaged cars were in medium to hard accidents, but I’ve owned many without issues. The prices are competitive to private sellers which is why I’ve bought 2 cars from them. Bring your own mechanic if you like. There are always going to be extra taxes and fees, so I’d rather pay those to Shoreline and not deal with the DMV myself, just receive the plates/​registration/​title by mail, super easy process. The negative reviewers have no experience with salvaged cars and the process so they blame Shoreline, so silly!

These guys are crooks. Bad service, lying and deceiving. They’ll say whatever on the phone to get you in and once you get there whole different story. All their cars have been hit super hard with lot’s of damage and George and his crew say” only minor bumper and fender damage. bunch of BSers! Save yourself a costly headache! look elsewhere.

I found a 2013 Honda civic on Craigslist had the car checked out because it was salvaged and it checked out completely and it was a good deal all the way around. Even after the purchase there was a scratch on the paint and he fixed it quickly and professionally. George is a good guy and easy to deal with. I will be buying my next car from him for sure.

I’m surprised to see any negative comments on here. I have done business with this company twice now. I totaled my first Prius within 1 month of having it. I had to buy another Prius and George was very helpful in finding me one that was similar to my first one. He helped me with the DMV paperwork since my first vehicle hadn’t even made it to registration before it was wrecked. Both transactions were smooth and professional. I absolutely love my Prius! It runs great, looks good and i couldn’t be happier. It’s the best purchase I’ve ever made in my life and if I ever have any issues, I can bring it in and have it checked out. I give this company 5 stars and have referred my family and friends to buying a vehicle with them.

I have to say my experience with Shoreline (and George) was great. We don’t even live in California, but saw Babygirl‘s dream car (2012 Scion TC) at an unbelievable price on Craig’s list and decided it was worth the trip. We ran the Carfax report and saw that it corresponded exactly with what we were told by George about the car’s history.
Buying a car is a pretty high-​anxiety experience. It’s a major investment, you never know how good of a deal you’re getting, even new cars can be lemons, and used cars are a crap shoot. Throw in the salvage title, and you’re really walking a tightrope. I found George to be very low pressure, dependable to deal with, and he even noticed a foggy headlight and replaced it that day (free) because we were leaving town. Now that the car has been driven from Long Beach to Las Vegas and around town for a while, we are very satisfied with the purchase. I would absolutely deal with Shoreline again. It was worth the drive.

I purchased a Civic from shoreline auto sales 6 months ago and have sent several people to them. The first car I called about sold before I got there. So I ended up buying a 2012 civic with 9k miles. The car was for my girl; it has been very reliable and has not given us any issues. I love the fact that I was able to buy a close to new car cash! This is a great way to save money on your cars. Now that I understand how much you can save buying a car this way, I couldn’t imagine paying full pop for one. I have been spreading the word to family and friends. Thanks for the rides!!!

I AGREE. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GEORGE. I actually did my due diligence and had a mechanic come out to George to inspect a black 2012 Madza 3. He said I couldn’t drive the car to a shop myself, so I complied by spending a lot more money on a mobile inspection service. The mechanic report came back fine noting only a few cosmetic defects. Fortunately, my friend was able to go to Shoreline with me. When he popped the hood, the car had clearly been hit pretty hard. The hood didn’t match up with the bumper right either. I tried negotiating with George based on the fact that these were defects I noticed. He doesn’t negotiate which is fine if that’s the way he wants to run a business. So, I really like the car and go back into the office and tell him I really like the car and I will go ahead with 9300 cash. He then tells me that there’s taxes and fees on top of it because he runs it through his auto body shop and that I have to pay them (around $ 840 more!). I HAVE TO PAY THAT MYSELF WHEN I GO TO THE DMV. HE WAS TRYING TO GET ME TO PAY HIS TAXES TOO. WHAT A SCAM ARTIST. When I told him I only brought what I brought in cash he tells me I can pay him with a check 30 days later. When I said «I’ll have to ask the person who’s helping me out with this financially» HE MADE A RACIST REMARK. Don’t buy anything from this guy. Run away! Run away!

After finding a used car with salvage title on Craigslist and talking to George @ Shoreline Auto Sales and agreeing to the price, I was in the process of getting the cash & check at the bank when I texted him to let him know I would be there in 30 minutes in order to take the car to a local repair shop to assess the vehicle. George and Shoreline Auto Sales obviously are hiding something since he responded and cancelled on me.
George and Shoreline Auto Sales are waiting for some poor sucker to buy the vehicle without doing any due diligence. Watch out these people are crooked.
