My mother’s AC unit broke over the weekend. She called on a Sunday night and she spoke with a manager. She ended up cancelling and rescheduling her appointment. She was told about a $ 70 dispatch fee upfront and was advised that there would be «additional fees». If she went with them for their service the fees would be credited towards her work. However, she was never advised that the additional fees would be $ 165 for someone to diagnose the problem. Essentially this person told her that she should consider a new unit (how convenient for them) and that she had a refrigerant leak. However, in order to determine where the leak is coming from that would an additional fee. Its appalling that a company can charge $ 235 for someone to come out and tell you, you have a leak or you should consider a new unit. Honestly, I think the service repair man was there about an hour. I wish I made $ 235 an hour! I would not recommend this place because even when I called the manager to discuss this with him, he never offered to refund any of the money. Even when I advised I wouldn’t recommend this compnay, he showed no signs of wanting to please the customer. It’s awful that companies can get away with this. Highway Robbery!
