We are a 3rd generation family business located in Wilmington, OH. We create beautiful fresh flower bouquets for parties, weddings, birthdays, funerals, get well, births, and other occasions. In the springtime you can also visit our garden center for your outdoor flower and vegetable gardens. We always strive to provide the highest quality of flowers, design, and customer service to all of our customers.

Business Owner

Gerry is a 3rd generation business owner here at Swindler & Sons Florists, Inc. The business began in 1921 with his grandfather, Irvin Swindler. When Irvin’s sons, Richard and Robert, returned from serving overseas in WW2, they joined their father in business. Gerry is Robert’s son and earned his degree in horticulture/​floriculture from The Ohio State University before coming to join the family business. He has been an owner since 1983 and is known for his considerable growing skills in our greenhouses. He is also one of our seasoned staff of quality floral designers in the winter months.

Last Christmas I ordered a centerpiece to be delivered to a relative. I live out-​of-​state, and Swindler is the only florist that delivers to my relative’s home.
I shared a photo of a Teleflora arrangement with red and white roses in greenery and some taper candles, asking if they had – or could get those flowers – in the next few days. They said yes, quoted a price, and I placed the order.
However, when it was delivered, it wasn’t really what I had ordered. There were no red roses; it was not a bad arrangement necessarily, but not very similar to the photo I had shared.
I emailed my concern, with photos, and they did not hesitate to make another arrangement and delivered it the next day. The recipient was quite happy with it and it was much closer to what was in the original photo and included both red and white roses.
I appreciate businesses that try to make things right. Have ordered from them since and will in the future.

RUN AWAY! I ordered Flowers (as I do every year) and had them delivered (for the first time). I normally pick them up at another florist. This year I came home to find flowers that were horrible! Four flowers were broken in the bouquet, one of the ornaments had broken off completely, and the overall arrangement looks like it was made well over a week ago. The flowers look terrible and the greenery looks even worse. (if that’s possible!) I think someone must’ve dropped the flowers on the way. I paid a LOT of money for these flowers and I got something that looks worse than what I could pick up at the grocery store! Go somewhere else!
